The location was very convenient for me and that's why I chose this hotel, I travelled for work and needed quick connections to both the airport and my office. The area is nice with restaurants and bars for lunch and dinner. The hotel itself was basic (budget, of course) so you need to come in with this expectations. My room had a double bed and a bunk above it, the shower/sink area were not separated from the sleeping area, just the toilet had a door. For sure this does not bring privacy if you travel with other people, but I was alone so I did not mind. But I would not book this hotel otherwise. It was clean and the bed comfortable.

It was dated. Paint chipped, overall feeling of "this furniture has seen better days". I expected the small room, weird bathroom or bunk beds in a budget hotel, but from the moment you step through the front door this feels unkept in general. Clean, but furniture had broken corners, scratches, you could see where stuff was fixed rather than replaced. The breakfast was EXTREMELY basic for 15 CHF, 1 type of cheese, 1 type of ham, eggs, toast and joghurt. The fruit/veggies were limited and not always looked fresh. It was good please don't get me wrong, but way too basic for this price. WiFi connection was available but very poor. I lost connection while watching Netflix often.

Very clean and bright, beds super comfy. Staff on front desk were really friendly and gave us lots of useful information about travel round the city! Basic facilities in rooms but very clean and great value for money. Nice little continental breakfast available in the morning for additional fee. We were able to leave luggage in the hotel for the day before departure. Tram spot right outside hotel so easy access to rest of city.

I enjoyed my stay at the Ibis Hotel. The reception staff were super fiendly and helpful with whatever inquiry I approached them! My room was clean, quiet, with several sources of lighting, the bed was large and comforable. The location is also very convenient in terms of the fast connection with the city center (tram 4 stop is right near the hotel). The breakfast was also good, included eggs, cheese, ham, fruits, flakes, honey, nutella, varios breads, teas and coffee. Thank you Ibis team for doing a great job! :)

Well, the location itself doesn't offer any tourist attractions, things to see, variety of stores or cafes. It's rather a quiet area, but with some good places to eat withinn a 10 min walk.

It's a budget hotel, so manage expectations. Having said that, the staff is very friendly and efficient, everything looked very clean. The rooms are small, but I just needed a place to clean up and rest. And I loved the price. Plus it's just steps from the train station.

The window was stuck open, not a big deal, but if the weather were not as nice might have been a problem. Normally I would call down to the front desk, but there was no phone. I decided to live with it. If I had bothered to head down to the desk, they might have been able to help.

A few stops out from the centre at Technopark but an easy 10min ride in to the centre. A couple of small museums nearby, Gestallt and Finance, the room is small (for a family) but the breakfast is the main selling point. There are some eating places at Escher which are OK and a park with a beer garden where the locals congregate which is an easy walk.

Room a bit on the small side for a family.

When I arrived, I was greeted and was swiftly able to pay and check-in. The hotel room I was provided was comfortable and it was an enjoyable stay for 5 nights. It was very close to many amenities and the conference venue I had to go during my stay. On one of the nights, I wanted to purchase something from a vending machine but I didn't have coins. They opened up the machine for me, gave me the item and gladly allowed me to pay for the item via credit card. Very convenient! The breakfast each morning was really tasty, It was organized well too. There was a large variety of food that catered to my dietary requirements that I had specified in advance. I was happy with housekeeping that took place daily, that kept my room neat and tidy. I had to make sudden changes to my itinerary the night before my departure and they were very flexible in accommodating my request. I even got a refund back for the last night that I had to cancel due to an early departure. The hotel front-desk staff were very professional and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a place to stay for leisure / business with a small budget.

A clothing storage cupboard in the room would have been helpful to easily store my bags and hang my clothes. The window was slightly difficult to open.

It was clean and neat, although very small. We only needed to stay one night to catch a plane and this met our needs. More than a couple nights and it might have been too cramped and limited. It is literally across the street from a tram stop, where you can buy a ticket for the historic downtown area. Since you're in the same zone, you can get a 24 hour ticket for just that zone and go everywhere downtown, which is a bonus for this hotel. The train station is a five minute walk, mostly on asphalt so it's easy with luggage. The airport is only 2 train stops away. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, letting us come in and wait for them to prepare our rooms, even when we arrived quite early. We got a double and a triple room, which ended up being identical, with the bunk bed over the queen size. Quite a few restaurants within a pleasant five or ten minute walk, easy to find something good nearby. Window does open to give fresh air.

At check-in they told us breakfast was available but after we went down and got some they told us we have to pay. That would have been nice to know when we first asked about breakfast. The door for the toilet area swings open & shut with no handle or lock, and the shower door is partly privacy glass but in the main room (not a bathroom), which may not work for everyone. No hairdryer. There's only 2 plugs in the room so you may need to take turns charging your devices. Would have loved instructions for the elevator at check in - you have to scan your key card to go to your floor, which is not clear or marked.

Property is consistent with other Ibis Budget and has a really awesome location!

No complaints about ibis budget but side note, I accidentally went to the other Ibis next door, and the front desk lady was a bit condescending about me booking Ibis budget and how dare I go in to the non-budget side of the building. I thought it was a bad reflection of the brand to be snobbish about the tiers of Ibis accommodations.

Location is excellent, on tram line 4 route, when you get off at Techpark stop the hotel front door is literally a few meters away. Facilities were clean, bed comfortable and shower a good size for the room. Tram 4 takes you in to Central station withing 15-20 minutes where you can then connect to the rest of Switzerland literally. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff, good value for money

The Swiss plug sockets are compatible with European 2 prong plugs, but they are thin style (hexagonal) sockets and not round so adapter for a UK plug wouldn't fit, had to get an adapter at reception with a deposit. The toilet is basically behind a cupboard door without a lock or sink so not much privacy.
