Lovely renovated room with a separate room for the kids' beds. I thought the updated decor was done very tastefully, especially the bathroom. It had an excellent rain shower. Very good value for money for a family stay. Loved the little teapot on our bed on arrival - a lovely touch.

The toiletries pumps in the bathroom were empty. The bed was quite hard and linen was a little stiff. I received a text with check in instructions for the key safe, although after several failed attempts I had to go inside to get the key so maybe some more detailed instructions would be helpful.

This motel has had some mixed reviews recently and it seems to be linked to whether you have stayed in one of the recently remodelled rooms. We stayed in room 40 on the second floor. Our room was newly decorated. It was clean, very comfortable and it was serviced daily during our stay. It couldn't be faulted. Free continental breakfast was served in a bright and airy breakfast room behind reception and it consisted of toast with spreads, yoghurt, cereals, coffee and tea. It was a pity that it wasn't fresh coffee though. There was also a pancake machine. P.S. During your stay, be sure to see the mural on the end wall. You don't see it if you only use the main entrance/ exit.

The motel is not quite in the town centre so cafes and shops are about a 10 mins walk way. If you want a church though, this is the place to stay - you can't walk anywhere without falling over one!

It was in a central location. Short walk to the shops & a lovely park nearby. The room was very modern & had a modern clean bathroom. My husband was very happy with the very wide shower head & the water flow. The bed was very comfortable & linen very clean. There was sufficient crockery to make microwave meals. There was a microwave oven & toaster. It was a nice touch to have a tray with teapot, mugs & camomile tea on the bed. There was good free wifi. The windows overlooked the front gardens & it made the room look spacious & it was a great outlook. The free continental breakfast was great. The air-conditioner was quiet & didn't disturb our sleep.

The freezer section of fridge didn't freeze my icebricks overnight.

Just on the outskirts of the town. We were looking for something basic but cosy and it was just what we need to spend a night. Comfy bed with private ensuite. Breakfast was included which was a bonus. Staff was very friendly. Parking was just in front of the room which made loading/unloading of luggage easy. Highly recommended.

Nothing in particular. We had a checkout time of 10am but housekeeping knocked at 9am asking if we were leaving. We advised we would leave at 10am. Apart from this, had a pleasant stay.

Great location within walking distance of some great coffee shops. A beautiful main park directly across the road. Church and cathedrals surrounding the area. Main one across the road from motel having extensive renovations done but did not impact stay with any noise. Laundry on site. Tesla charging stations. Room very clean and bed comfortable.

Some mould in shower which stood out because everything else was so clean. Could have been a cleaning oversight as bathrooms look very new. Shower leaked somewhat but it was fine.

Room was very comfortable with quality fittings, good lighting and power outlets in handy positions. The bathroom was modern with rainfall shower with good pressure and constant temperature. The soaps and lotions were all filled, and even included shaving cream. The rate included a continental breakfast that included choices of cereal, bread/pastries, juice yoghurt, and a pancake machine. There were EV chargers on the premises. We ate dinner at the RSL, which was a ten minute walk from the motel, so there was no need to use the car to explore the centre of Armidale. Although situated close to a busy roundabout, we didn't notice any excessive traffic noise. Staff was courteous and professional.

Not much I didn't like. If I was to be picky, I would suggest that the barista coffee should be included with breakfast, rather than a chargable extra. I found it strange that there was only one comfortable chair in a room that has a king size bed and aimed at accommodating couples.

I was so pleased to have breakfast at the Motel, and I found out that others at the Conference had said their accomodation was beautiful etc, but they didnt get breakfast and hadnt been able to find a cafe open that early in the morning, so I felt I had the edge on them. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of tea bags etc. No milk though, had brought my own so that was fine. Thanks

Rooms seems very modern, nice simple breakfast.

The location wasn’t as centrally located as expected. The motel's interior boasts a modern design, but the exterior could use some improvement. There were scattered cigarettes and alcohol bottles outside, especially near the smokers' corner by the car charging stations, which could benefit from cleaning or removal. Additionally, the restaurant lacked high chairs for kids, suggesting the need for a designated kids' corner or play area within the complex, especially since the surroundings are primarily concrete.

When we arrived there was an issue with the booking, due to Booking.com's incompetence and nothing to do with City Centre motel. The booking was not sent by Booking.com to the motel, so we essentially did not have a room. As we were in Armidale for a graduation, all accommodation in the area was fully booked. The general manager, Harry, was incredibly helpful and did not want us stranded so he gave us his own personal room at the motel which we were so appreciative of! He had it cleaned and set up perfectly within an hour. Excellent room, very comfy bed and they also offer continental breakfast if you don't feel like walking far. Would highly recommend City Centre Motel! Booking.com cannot be trusted so ensure to personally call the accommodation to confirm the booking!! Thank you Harry for your hospitality!!

Everything was great!

Everything. This Motel has been tastefully renovated. It has a mixture of old and new fittings, which adds to the unique style. When I arrived, the gentleman at reception gave a warm greeting on such a chilly night. Then, when I arrived at my room, I was pleasantly surprised as it was toasty warm. Considering it was 2 degrees outside.. I just felt as if I was coming home, not staying in a Motel. On the bed layed a tray, on it was a traditional tea pot and 2 cups. What a nice touch.
