Very convenient location to restaurants and the main part of town, and the room was very spacious so I could do work at night. No problems with the bed or room facilities like the shower. Staff were very friendly and able to accommodate any request I had.

There was an air conditioning unit outside of my bedroom window that made a high pitched whine all night that was very annoying. I bought a speaker that could play white noise to drown it on so it wasn't a huge issue. The treadmill in the gym kept restarting for some reason, but there were other machines to use.

Very nicely renovated motel-style accommodation. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, with nice touches like a coffee pod machine with complementary pods (including decaf!) Attractive bathrooms with fabulous showers. Great environmentally-friendly features including two EV chargers. Dinners at the restaurant were excellent. Friendly staff.

The breakfast buffet was quite basic. A few lights in the room weren’t working.

Um, everything !! Simply better than 1st class. Already are planning to stay again whilst on a round trip from Newcastle to Brisbane. The restaurant for both Dinner and Breakfast were both mouth watering. Had oysters and Lamb rack for dinner. The best I`ve ever had, no exaggeration. The twin bedroom accommodation room that we stayed in was outstanding. On trips I like to try to always choose the best but Rydges Armidale I would class as even better. We are blown away with the 1st class quality and service by all staff. Thank you.

Having to leave. Just cursed ourselves that we could not stay for another day and night. There was nothing not to like about the Rydges. Simply the best that we`ve ever stayed at. Will be back again for sure.

The hotel was really lovely and well maintained, very modern and up-market style. We had a ground floor room but some rooms are up stairs. Lots of parking spaces but they're not allocated to each room. We didn't use the restaurant or gym but they looked nice. We did use the free guest laundry which has 1 large top loader, and 1 small dryer, with free washing powder. No coins needed. The bathroom was nice, the bed was comfortable. The location was good, but you would still need a car to get right into the centre of town. We ate at PJ Thai restaurant which was fantastic, it looks pretty casual on the outside but the food was great.

Our room was serviced, but the coffee cups they put back in were not clean & had lipstick marks.

Close enough to the main streets of town to walk to. Rooms are very large, clean and mostly quiet at night. There is a small gym on site that was very convenient too.

Two of the lights near the fridge area in the main room did not work, but the ones near the bed and above the desk were enough for work and reading.

A real bonus was the restaurant, available for dinner and breakfast. We didn’t have to worry about where our meals were coming from.

The plug in the sink was jammed closed. A minor issue but a little annoying. I probably should’ve asked for ground floor as carting bags upstairs was a tiny bit annoying.

The King suite was good size and very comfortable bed. Facilities good. Restaurant was very very good!

The suite needs a refresh/upgrade desperately. It was dark and looked old. View from BR window was a rooftop but we didn't mind that really. Upper floor view would be ok.

Easy access, parking at door. Bar staff went out of their way to find ingredients for the chocolate cocktail that was being craved!!

Snack/ bar menu would have been good - We enjoyed some down time in the bar with a few drinks. The dinner menu was more than we required so we didn’t order any food

Clean, well appointed, warm rooms with a comfortable bed

Smokers ashtray stand right outside our bedroom that was used very frequently, smelt as you walked by & impacted on privacy. No privacy curtain, only option to use very heavy block out curtain.

Rooms were well heated, especially the toilet floor as well. Beds were arranged as expected, one King sized and two singles. The best part was the car was able to park right Infront of the hotel room. We did not try the restaurant but was told during Check-in that it was fully booked.

The hotel looks old. But in a town of only 23k inhabitants, I would say this is one of the best you can get.
