the room was a good size and had all the essentials for a motel room. The place is old, but the price is good. A nice walk into town and if you have never been to Armadale the town is very pretty with a lot of beautiful old buildings. The highlight of our stay was the restaurant attached to the motel called The Manor, the food was excellent, and the staff friendly. If you go, order the bruscetta, very different and it was the nicest piece of food in any category that I have ever tasted. The salmon was a large portion, very delicious, and so was the dessert. All up. a great stay and we wish we could have stayed a few more days. ps. The manager was very friendly and helpful.

I really enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, and can recommend the steak. The bar is great, offering a wide range of refreshments. Whilst the restaurant isn’t open for breakfast, and I didn’t try what was on offer, next door to the hotel is an excellent bakery offering delicious bacon and egg rolls. What really made my stay was the owners! They were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. As a solo traveller, I was really made to feel at home there.

My initial impression of the room was that it was a little tired. However, everything worked well and the bed was super comfortable. My room was located close to the front of the property and there was some traffic noise, but closing the window at night reduced this and my sleep wasn’t disturbed. The Internet signal wasn’t consistently strong in some areas of the room.

Quiet, comfortable room tucked away at the back. Great restaurant on site where we enjoyed a delicious meal. Friendly staff. Undercover parking.

A problem where a tablet was found on a table in the room. It looked like a tic-tac, so could’ve been dangerous if a child had found it. It also indicated to us the table had not been wiped down, which isn’t good for sanitisation. When we reported it to staff they were very concerned & promised to check it out.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size and clean. Great to have the sheets changed even when staying for only two nights. Great location and beautiful gardens. The restaurant was very handy.

The shower was a let down, poor water pressure and the water was either hot or cold.

A great place to stay, clean, friendly staff, the room was very comfortable and nicely set out. The breakfast was also very nice, in a lovely dining room.

My only suggestion would be for the property to note on its website and other profiles that they have a microwave in the room, as that would be helpful information for those of us arriving after dinner had finished, to know what to be able to bring to eat in the room.

Good location, close to central places; enough facility; spacious room; friendly staff.

I checked out before 8am. There was no staff at the reception and the door was locked. There is no pigeon hole to return the key. I just left the key inside the room then closed the door, expecting the cleaner would give it to the reception. Later that day I called and the reception confirmed they received the key. By then I realised that I had made a good decision to handle the checkout the day before as I used the NSW vouchers. Image if I left the checkout to the last minute and the reception was closed, I would have delayed my departure from Armidale by a couple of hours.

Wasn't expecting such clean and highly maintained hotel is such a remote location but amazed the way the property is maintained and operated by the management. Room was clean and smells nice, amenities were provided and facility was family friendly. Hotel was surrounded by some really nice restaurants and close to city center. Management was attentive and did everything to make our stay comfortable. Will definitely comeback.

Have stayed here several times & the restaurant is always the highlight. Never disappoints. Very friendly staff from check in to restaurant staff. Comfortable beds, clean facilities. Close to shops & facilities.

Some traffic noise in the evening & early morning but it’s quiet when it’s time to sleep.

The breakfast supplies were good . A wide variety of spreads, yoghurt and fruit, raisin bread and bread for toast plus a cereal and juice were provided in the breakfast pack . They were neatly packaged and delivered to our room for the next morning . This was super convenient for us as we were a late evening check in and it was dark and cold outside.

we had Christmas in July meal in their restaurant which was just wonderful and the staff both in the restaurant and reception were extremely friendly and accommodating. finally an establishment that had dispensers for all the toiletries instead of individual tubes. So much better for the environment. Bed was a bit too hard for us but the room was comfortable

the hot water in the shower was very tricky to regulate. all hot was scalding but the tiniest amount of cold mixer made the water too cold. watch out for this
