We had such a great time during our stay—it was the perfect getaway! The kids absolutely loved it and had a blast, especially at the water play area, which was definitely their favorite spot. Value for money The location was another big plus. Being so close to Dubbo Zoo made our visit there super easy, and the observatory was a nice bonus for something a bit different. Overall, it was a fun and relaxing stay, and we’d definitely love to come back again!

While we don’t have any major complaints, we would like to share a couple of minor suggestions for improvement: it would be great to have more double or twin beds instead of bunk beds, and we noticed that the air conditioning didn’t reach all the rooms. These are just small points for consideration and in no way detracted from our overall experience.

What a fantastic family getaway at Dubbo Discovery Park! The kids were in their element with the endless fun – pedal carts, swimming pools, splash park, and the massive jumping pillow. There was always something to keep them entertained! The BBQ kitchen area was top-notch, perfect for cooking up family dinners. To top it off, they even had an ice-cream van that drove around the park a few times a day – such a treat for everyone, yum! We stayed in a 2-bedroom cabin, and it was spotless and well-appointed – definitely a 10/10! We’ll be back for sure, and we highly recommend this park to anyone looking for an amazing family vacation spot. Thanks for the great stay!

The cabin was spacious and well equipped. Excellent price for our short stay in Dubbo. Plenty of room for 3 adults and a toddler. The ensuite bathroom was great. Perfect location for our trip to Dubbo Zoo and only a short drive to the Town centre and shops. Although we weren't able to use the park facilities due to time constraints I felt that the areas would be ideal in warmer months.

Attention to detail with the cleaning of the unit was not great. I had to mop the lino floors shortly after we arrived as they were quite dirty and sticky. With a not quite 2 years old cleanliness of the floors was quite important. Perhaps a good clean of the rooms after check out would be something to improve on. Doesn't look like the beds have been pulled out and cleaned under for some time

The cabin was a perfect size for what we needed, basic kitchen tools and cooking equipment hit the spot. LOVED the bunks were solid and secure not flimsy and metal. The cleaner had standards and made the whole experience sooooo much better, everything was clean, well lit and easy to not stress after arrival.

The little bathroom accessories like the shampoo, conditioner and body wash was a disappointment we had to ask for more. We were not able to connect to the wifi. The soap in the toilet was cheap and crap. The recycle air unit needs to be cleaned

We stayed in one of the cabins. It was very clean and had the basics we needed for our stay. The park itself is very well laid out, great pools and water slide and fun bouncy cushion - my daughter loved it. We backed into the main road but didn’t have any trouble sleeping with road noise etc. The location is also excellent - 2 mins from the zoo and a quick drive into the centre of town. Would definitely stay again.

While the cabin had all the basics, it was the bare minimum. It would have been handy to have things like a floor mat so we weren’t bringing in mud, clothes airer for drying towels and a few spare towels (we were there during a rare wet period for Dubbo and really struggled to get anything to dry). But for the price I understand the minimal kit-out.

We liked there was a pool for the kids, a bbq area and how close it was to the things we had planned. We also liked the cabins have cooking facilities and a good size fridge

Sadly the first cabin we were in had problems with doors not closing properly, the fan banging on the roof, the stove top dirty, dishes dirty (left from previous occupants to clean), the windows had prints over them. We were moved the next day to an upgraded cabin which was much smaller...

Was close to a lot of things which we didn't know at first. The cabins were so spacious and the beds were so comfortable. Best cabin to date we've stayed in for comfortability and price. Will definitely be back, but most likely in Sumner, the Winters there are crazy cold. We loved it though.

The gate. My husband installs gates like this and wondered why it was so slow with a big motor and hinges on it haha. We didn't mind though, had to laugh about it. All in all, we loved your park and would give it 6 stars if we could :-)

We arrived late, and were extremely pleasantly surprised that the staff had gone in and put the heaters on so that we walked into a lovely warm cabin, on a freezing cold night. Heat lights in the bathrooms were great. Lovely comfortable lounge. Location is fantastic, right near Dubbo Zoo. Spacious lounge and kitchen area. 2 bathrooms was great.

Water took an extremely long time to heat up, so we were washing our hands in ice cold water a lot of the time, as we didn't want to waste water running it constantly to get it to heat up.

Facilities were great and so were the cabins, I have a severe food allergy so having a full kitchen with a dishwasher was great, I’m also an ex local so staying here was close to my family and everything we needed as I was there for a funeral

The check in process was delayed I was told I could check in between 2 and 3pm we arrived at 2:30 and the room had not been checked yet with little communication, the room also looked like it had been rushed to be cleaned with the benches not quite clean

Access to swimming area and play activities for kids was nice. Ability to access washer + dryer/clothes line very useful. Had an issue with our initial room and were upgraded which was nice

Pool area could do with some more protective features eg anti slip protection on and around stairs - myself and my 2 yo both slipped and I saw others do the same. End of small kids slide very close to brick work - a larger child or adult with legs out could end up with spinal injury. A small swimming pool for young kids would be good (Max 1m depth) as both pools suitable for swimmers only (older kids or adults).
