The location was excellent. The lady at reception was very pleasant and very professional. She also served us in the restaurant and we had absolutely no complaints. The bathroom in our unit was in need of refurbishment but apart from that we had no complaints. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows.

The person in the unit next to us was a smoker and he sat between our unit and his and smoked which we found unpleasant.

size and amenities of the room were good with plenty of room and good amenities in the bathroom and meal prep area. ie microwave and kettle and cupboards with having to get my own specific food items from the supermarket. Stairs to upstairs were a good large size with enough room to walk up with bags etc

disappointed that the restaurant was not open to be able to have a specific dietary requirement meal after travelling. Which was listed on the website as an option which I was looking forward to. Parking spaces were limited for the number of rooms there and very close to each other for parking too. But no problem while I was there though.

Easy access to the CBD, shops and restaurants. The highway-front location was convenient, if a bit noisy and challenging to get into/out of during traffic times.

We couldn't tell when/if the restaurant on-site was open. It was cool and rainy so we didn't get to enjoy the pool

Breakfast was just right , very close walking distance where i had to be , food outlets nearby in walking distance , Great , friendly Aussie staff , Thank you .

Quiet and comfortable

Bathroom fly screen had large hole letting large cockroach inside, exhaust fan filthy

Perfect location for our stay, close to where we needed to be and easy walk into Main Street.

A major reason we chose the Golden West was because it advertised a bar and restaurant which would have meant we didn't need to go out for food but unfortunately when we checked in we found out they were both closed due to staff shortages. Such a shame, not sure how long that will be closed for.

Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom linen was better than expected. No sound from adjoining rooms.

Car park is too tight. TV remote batteries were dead. Curtains are too far from window leaving a gap at the side when you are trying to block out.

This is a most underrated Motel. Staff are very pleasant and obliging. Pool is clean as are the spacious rooms. I liked it so much I returned the following week. A short walk to the town centre

The guy at the reception was lovely! Everything was clean and maintained.

Its just so close to the main road so its noisy but I knew that, can't be helped. I liked the central location as it was close.

The milk was out of date, I had to have a black tea and normally I get two packets of biscuits not one. Had difficulty obtaining a tax receipt as receptionist was in training.
