Our first stay at the Mandarin and know this motel will be our go to again. The host Mei Ling was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean. We had a continental breakfast in the Motel's sunfilled breakfast room which was generous and a great way to start the day. Location is fabulous a short walk to several great choices for dinner. All parking is undercover. We dined at the Macksville Hotel. Had the Thursday night special Surf and Turf. Steak cooked exactly as requested with seafood topper - delicious food and lovely atmosphere.

how clean it was! and how spacious the room is and not to mention the bathroom that sold me! there was a lounge chair to watch tv, a massive bathroom with double vanity and huge shower, not to mention the fridge/kitchen area and dining table all had its own space. It was like staying in an open planned apartment. The manger who greeted me on arrival was also super friendly and helpful with any needs and requests I did have. I will certainly be back.

tight parking however that’s being super picky and I was in a 4wd. other cars would be fine!

Our Executive Apartment was spacious and provided us with a very comfortable bed, lovely hot shower and small kitchenette to prepare any meals required. Balcony a bonus, as was close proximity to shops, hotels and cafes.

Very little to complain about. A little mould in shower recess which could have done with a scrub with a 50/50 vinegar and water mixture. We appreciate that mould is an issue in high humidity areas. Otherwise no complaints at all.

Room is compact with the normal facilities - tea making, mini bar, meals to room or eat in dining area. Have noticed that different rooms have different levels of bedding comfort - whether the bed is soft, hard etc. Motel supplies hair dryer, face washes which a lot do not. Close walking to shops, pubs, restaurants, convenience stores.

I didn't find anything that I didn't like

The room was exceptionally clean and well layed out. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and ample, no leaking shower so no slippery floor and soaking towels.Breakfast was delivered to our room. Parking was ample and secure.

Only thing that could add to a stay would be a restaurant onsite but not really a problem as there was plenty to choose from in town.

The room was much larger than we expected. We had asked for a toaster and microwave (which were not normally in the room) and these were provided. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water.

Like many mini fridges in motels, the fridge was bit iffy. Food was kept properly cold (with the fridge set to the coldest setting) but water pooled on the lowest shelf. The water from the tap tasted a bit dire but I think there was some flushing of the water mains going on.

Nice big room with a comfortable bed. Air conditioning with a ceiling fan as well. Nice big shower. Mini bar. Pretty good sofa. And a table and chairs.

Some of the grout in the shower looked like it could have used a bit of bleach. But this is a minor complaint - the size of the shower and the shower head were great.

Very comfortable beds, spotless room, lovely staff. Solid shower aswell! Shoutout to the origin of the hotels name. That was a wholesome little tidbit you can find in the guestbook likely in every room

Not The Mandarin's fault but the local cats held a Mortal Kombat tournament In the nearby sewer drains against the backdrop of Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" playing from a nearby party - respect btw Wasn't a bid deal to me personally but thought I'd ment

it’s not often you walk in a hotel and you know it was looked after with love. but Mandarin was just one of these places where despite it being probably almost 20 years old, you can just tell the owners really cared for it and looked after it. it felt comfortable and nice and it brings joy to our family to just stay there, and I promise you I don’t say this easily!

I will tell you if I can think of any!

This is the second time we have stayed here. The owners were friendly. We had a larger room this time and was quite comfortable. The combination of air conditioner and fan kept the room cool. This motel is within walking distance of the town and our family party. Undercover parking was good.
