Salt was simply amazing, exceeded our expectations and so much more. Arriving to a beautiful sunset from the balcony over the river with kangaroos grazing on the lawn felt like a once in a lifetime experience. I love how they have scattered the placement of the villas so you never feel overlooked. The apartment was spotless and welcoming. A big thank you to Gayle who's customer service was exceptional. The team went above and beyond for the welcome birthday extras for my partner as well as our many requests throughout. Our bike ride along the road leading into the path with the mangroves on one side and the sea on the other is a must do. Stunning. Can't wait to come back!

Absolutely nothing

The Salt villa was relaxing, clean, comfortable and well equipped for both short and longer stays. Situated in a relaxing location along the river amongst nature in close vicinity to beaches and sightseeing locations. We spent our time relaxing in the pool, watching beautiful sunsets over the river and a walk to the Tav for a meal all followed by a comfortable sleep amongst the sounds of the nature surrounding. We absolutely loved this location.

Couldn’t stay longer

At last a deluxe that deserved the title! Spacious, comfortable and clean. Everything seemed clean, crisp and new. Quality kitchen equipment and enough coffee pods! (although some decaf would be nice). Plenty of dishwasher tabs etc. Comfortable, modern lounge. Nice deck. Really nice to have access to free push bikes as it's a nice trip to the village /beaches. Nice view over river. Very near tavern, if needed (no noise from it)

A bbq on the deck would be a bonus but there are communal ones. Overlooks road but only intermittent traffic.

The apartment is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Check in was easy, albeit without any human contact. Hence no rating of staff. Didn't encounter any!

The location is great if you like to be remote from town center. Our preference is to be closer/walking distance to pubs, restaurants etc. However, I booked this knowing it was out of town - just didn't appreciate the distance! For the price we paid, I think a higher quality loo paper is warranted. Also, as there's no contact with onsite staff, there is absolutely no negotiation in terms of check in and check out times.

Lovely location on the river and a short 5-OQ minute drive to the beach. Kangaroos on site were a lovely surprise to see them so close (do not touch) and the pool was beautiful.

Nothing could have been better apart from if we were staying for longer!

The easier arrival process, key in locked box. The place was decorated beautiful. Clean linen Everything you needed the view the kitchen ware was fantastic and great colours

That we arrived late and was not able to enjoy it. We then had to leave by 10am. Other than that it was top notch. The price was more than we would pay.

Salt consists of maybe a dozen self contained and well designed cabins. They are rather more upmarket than typical cabins in Australia, getting close to luxury standard. All cabins have a spectacular view of the Macleay River, about 2km upstream from the river outlet. From our balcony, we saw a very close pod of dolphins one morning. On arrival, access is contactless. On the morning of arrival, we received a text with instructions and the various PINs necessary. It sounded complicated but worked well. The pool was heated and good to swim in even in winter. There is a short but nice gravelled wetlands walk on site, and the grounds are well manicured.

Contactless check-in is one thing but during our entire 3 day stay, we saw no sign of any staff on site. Somehow, it feels better if you know there is someone nearby in case of difficulties. (We had no difficulties and all went well.) Salt is maybe 2-3 km out of downtown South West Rocks, but that distance is worth it for the relative solitude of the location.

I love the location. The villa was beautifully furnished & super clean! Loved everything!!!!

The large bins located opposite the villas smelt very bad. I had to keep my bedroom windows closed at night as the smell was unbearable. This was particularly uncomfortable because the bedrooms did not have air conditioning so a window being opened was the next best option. These bins were very full and covered in maggots & flies. It was the only part of my stay that I can say was not great.

Beautiful accommodation on the waterfront. Super clean, the most comfortable beds, with beautiful bedding. We only stopped for the night whilst travelling long distances in the car, a much needed, required, beautiful stop, with a great nights sleep!

We thought the location was great. It is on the estuary side of South West Rocks which is quiet and beautiful. The accommodation is in a secure, modern and well maintained complex.

Nothing really, we loved the whole experience.
