Super friendly and accommodating. Love the fact you can use bikes, snorkelling gear etc.

Bathrooms need much more daily cleaning, put some rubberized mats outside of showers so you don’t stand in a puddle after exiting the shower.

Best hostel that you can book in Sydney/Manly. I stayed here over 5 months during my WHV and can recommend anyone that searching for a clean, tidy and groomed place with professional staff that doing his work always good. I experienced many hostels that are run down with lazy and unprofessional staff and this hostel is the best well organized hostel that I stayed so far. + free bikes for one hour to rent + free huge breakfast +groomed mattresses, pillows and sheets + some rooms have a balcony + huge movie room - only downside: the rooms don’t have an AC.

The staff were lovely, the facilities were new and super lovely-- really great set up in the communal spaces where you could chill / hang out without feeling like you couldn't get any privacy. The rooms themselves were basic but spacious enough, with big cages that rolled under the bed where you could store all of your stuff so there weren't bags all around the floor. Absolute bonus points for the fact that they include breakfast AND free Vinyasa yoga (Zara is BRILLIANT!!!)--- sadly, I only got to go to one session during my time there but if it was earlier, I'd be there every.single.day! It was SO nice having something like yoga available at the facility because if you didn't want to leave, you could still make the most of your time.

Nothing really! It was super lovely and way better than I'd anticipated! Sure, it's not THE cheapest hostel BUT I'd happily pay a little bit more to stay at a place like Stoke any day! One thing that was a bit misleading was how they market parking. While apparently they do have parking, I don't think there's much available and trying to find a spot nearby can be extreme tedious, especially during the week. Be mindful about this if you do have a car as it can take a bit of strategising to find an all-day spot (most streets are only 2-4hrs or paid parking which'll likely cost you the same amount as staying at the hostel!)

I stayed at stoke for 10 nights with a friend and it was amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean, people that stayed there were social, the rooms are comfortable and the location is great, very close to the beach. The beds have curtains which we loved and lockers to store your stuff under your bed- big enough to fit a 55l and a 22l backpack. Even though the kitchen could get messy throughout the day (because of people not cleaning after themselves) it wasn’t a problem at all because the staff cleaned the kitchen area at least twice a day which was really nice. They offer a lot of free and fun activities too and the free breakfast is really good!! I can definitely recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to have beach town vibes (Manly) and still wants to be close enough to Sydney central to go there often ( 20 mins by ferry)!! I will definitely stay there again if I ever come back to Sydney!:)

We chose Stoke Beach House for the location, as we were heading out in Manly for the night and had a group of people who needed accommodation. We used the bathroom facilities and bedrooms and found everything very comfortable, clean and quite at night.

Parking! It took about 30 mins to find a park as the street parking requires a permit or to move your car every 2 hours between 8am and 10pm. The park I eventually found was '2P 8am-10pm', which required me to move the car every 2 hours until 10pm as we arrived at 3pm. The streets that I was advised to park on were full and required a resident permit holder.

Location was amazing, short walk to the ferry and beach, managed to find free parking aprox 8 mins walk away on the street. Friendly staff and a lovely breakfast included. It was quite busy in the kitchen so may need some more cutlery at breakfast. Lots of activities on offer which we didn’t get to try as only staying for one night

Booked a king room to try and have a private night to recover from an early flight, unfortunately the room was located next to the terrace with loud music until 11pm (when they close to prevent loud music going on for longer). It would have been nicer to be a bit further away as other parts were quieter.

Hostel is in a great location near the Corso (shopping strip) and Manly Beach. Staff gave a really good briefing on arrival. Beds were clean, super comfy had a great sleep every night. Showers were rain shower head and clean. Overall vibe was great and international travellers very friendly. Surfboards and bikes free hire from the hostel. Breakfast was so expansive and delicious. Balcony access from each room as a bonus.

More storage for bags/lockers - we had all our bags on the floor in the room... More bench space to get ready - 5 girls in one small bathroom at 7am while the other was getting cleaned. Really nothing bad to say!

Stoke House is a very well run Backpackers. I was the oldest person there but felt included. People are very friendly. I spent days with family but returning at night, and the amazing breakfast were great. My room shared with 2 others and although there was music at night upstairs the room was very quiet for sleeping.

Don't drive a car there and hope for an easy car park. You can park overnight on the beach front but after 8.00am the ticket machine want $10.00 per hour and max 2 hours. If, like most backpackers you are travelling by public transport.... No problem.

We were only looking for a bed for the night, we aren't backpackers. But we were very impressed with the facility as a whole. Bed was very comfortable. Bathrooms, shared, were clean and well appointed. Despite being on a main road, we didn't notice too much noise. Only 2 blocks from the beach is an excellent location. Really happy with our stay!

I don't have any negative feedback - we knew it was a hostel and bathroom facilities were shared, so our expectations were set coming in.
