It was not just a stay, but a complete immersive Zoo and premium experience where we participated in three different tours: the sanctuary, the morning walk and the night walk. All unique and very informative. Also, the opportunity to go explore the zoo for two days gave us the chance to split the activities in a balanced way being able to enjoy everything without getting exhausted. We came back to the lounge to have lunch, fresh water and to room to chill out sometimes during the day. The room was beautiful, modern, clean and we had the beautiful view of the Bushlands with Red kangaroo with their joeys on the pouches, and Australian birds Aviary.

- Rooms are nicely renovated. We booked an Animal View Room for AUD$668 (SGD$590) which came with zoo admission, sanctuary tour (30 minutes) and buffet breakfast. - Buffet breakfast spread was quite lovely (no reservation needed). - We paid additional $25 for a night tour (1 hour) which I highly recommend. It was after hours and very quiet. The guides were knowledgeable. Really can feel how passionate they are about their jobs and conservation.

- However, animal view might be a misnomer because it was mainly just a koala (as cute as it was). - Loved the sanctuary tour, but there wasn’t much to see. The echidnas were very cute.

The located of Taronga was unbeatable. To look out over the water to Syndey Harbour was breathtaking. The location sitting on top of the zoo and sanctuary was such an amazing, unique experience. It truly was unforgettable.

We were not aware ahead of time about how important it was to make dinner reservations. That being said, we were upset if we could not eat at the restaurant on site. We checked online and all reservations were full. However, we decided to just show up to the restaurant, in hopes there was any availability. The entire place was almost empty and there was plenty of tables available. We were glad we made the decision to just show up despite "full" reservations online.

How do I even begin to describe this property? It is phenomenal. The location is BEYOND perfect. The staff are exceptional. They are helpful from the minute you check in - Dale was sooo helpful. The rooms were great. The restaurants had great service and food. We views from the room, the reception area etc BEYOND perfect. Our ‘kangaroom’ as my husband called it had kangaroos outside and we saw koalas in the trees also. We had three tours of the zoo, one of those was a night tour and ALL were exceptional. The guides were very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this place and could NOT recommend it higher. Seriously, if you are THINKING about booking this place just hit the BOOK button because you will NOT regret it. I wish I could add more photos because I took SO many!

Nothing! It was perfect.

I had stayed previously in the old Glamping tents and very much enjoyed that, but the actual Accommodation exceeded my expectations and the staff were absolutely wonderful both at reception the cafe where we ate and drank and enjoyed food and the restaurant which was absolutely wonderful.loved having movies.

We stayed on a very rainy day and of course the animals are sensible they’re not going to come out in the rain! So we enjoyed a day out in our room watching the movies but when we actually made our way to the restaurant from our room it was not undercover and it was pouring it was quite uncomfortable and we got a bit wet going from the actual resort to the restaurant, perhaps a little more cover to go from one to the other for inclement weather. On our original stay I very much enjoyed the morning tour and feeding the animals before the zoo opened which was available to the guests, disappointed you don’t have that now. My partner gave me this as a special treat for my birthday and I would happily come back again.

The view from the lounge and the resturant were awesome. Private tours were fantastic during non-opening hours. Also, the room was clean and the staffs were accomodating.

It was a bit of hassle to walk to the reception and ask everytime we want to warm up my boy's solid food(13 mth old). It would have been much nicer if there was a microwave in the room or there was a shared facility. If our room was located near the reception, it could have bee ok, too. However, the friendly staffs cancelled out this negativeness. Thanks

Beautiful setting. While the location was out of town, it was in a beautiful area. The grounds were great and direct access to the zoo was just what we wanted. Our room overlooked the Wildlife and we were able to see the animals enjoying their home.

Access to food was probably the issue we found most challenging. The main restaurant has good food but the menu is small and only changes 1 time a week. Since were were there for only 3 nights, we could only select from the same items. And the menu was somewhat challenging for our palate with items were weren't familiar with. The Bar in the lobby did offer Pizza which turned out to be good. Travel into town is only by taxi, car or bus. The #100 Bus runs right into town so this is a possible solution.

The awesome reception and restaurant staff provided attentive and friendly service. We enjoyed the room which was well appointed and very clean. The breakfast spread provided a spread of hot/cold food, pastries, fruits, juices and beverages. Staff were quick to help when we left our passports in the safe after check out. The tours in the retreat and during the pre-opening hours of the zoo were enjoyable and informative. Liked that our stay contributed to conservation efforts.

Our room offered a view of trees and we hoped to spot some birds but didnt manage to.

We loved the whole experience. Access to the Zoo and the special sanctuary walk was such a wonderful touch. The buffet breakfast was everything you want as well.

We had the Koala viewing room which was amazing for us and we got the chance to witness the Koala outside our room. But i guess there would be times that the Koala would not necessarily be right outside your room which could mislead you when booking the room as the Koala has space in front of multiple rooms.

We were blown away by this incredible place. Our welcome from Sammy on the front desk was most probably the BEST and most friendly welcome we ever had in all our years of travelling. Our room was upgraded and we were over the moon. The whole experience from start to finish was just incredible. The staff are all so lovely, enthusiastic and really love do all the animals. Our little private tours were such a nice touch. Our 6 year old little girl loved it. Waking up to a Koala tight outside our bedroom window I’ll never forget. The MeGal restaurant is a MUST! Thank you so much for our stay. We hope be back again one day.

Nothing not to like. It was all so wonderful.
