We had an excellent stay with spacious, comfortable rooms, a warm and welcoming reception, and excellent room service. Overall, we loved the place and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Unfortunately, we had to pay extra for parking, which wasn’t even covered, and we found this bit disappointing Water easily leaked onto the bathroom floor, causing it to pool, which we found inconvenient. It would be great if the hotel management could address this issue.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The response to a leaking tap was timely and effective. The location to the Tram and Trains was excellent. An excellent, very comfortable bed. A very large spacious bathroom-laundry facility.

Th bathroom: 1. Having a shower in a cubicle with no shower door. 2. No extraction fan. 3. Very limited in the bathroom, laundry to place items on. In the kitchen we did not have the option to hand wash our dishes since no detergent was provided.

Staff were an absolute delight, so accommodating on arrival and throughout our stay. Rooms were fantastic, perfectly clean and very comfortable. Location was perfect. I could not fault our stay and we will be back 100%

The only thing that was slightly annoying but no real drama, was the fridge was not on and we didn't realise, the switch was off at the fuse box so once we worked it out, it was ok. The shower did not have a door on it, again, no real drama but it was very wet after we showered as you could not avoid water pooling on the floor. I asked reception for some extra towels to mop up floor after showering which they accommodated to immediately which solved our problem of a wet floor :)

The 2 bedroom apartment was roomy, clean and airy. There was no musty smell or evidence of poor cleaning. The furniture and curtains were lovely, clean and well kept. The balcony was great as it allowed fresh air into the room which is a feature I always look for when staying away from home and is the main reason for choosing Quest on this occasion. Also, bedroom windows opened for fresh air as well. The bed was a little firmer than is my preference, but this was no big deal. Plenty of pillows and a clean stored blanket in the cupboard. Usual toiletries provided and housekeeping attended daily.

The kitchen bench has some minor staining and damage with burn marks and some scratches etc. This did not affect the functionality; however, it didn't look the best. The showers need to be properly re grouted as the temporary covering up did not look very nice. The showers were still very clean and had good water pressure, so this did not affect the functionality. No luggage rack so we had to place suitcases on the floor.

Proximity to train station. Size of space in 2 bedroom apartment. Friendly staff. Proximity to supermarket and a few restaurants. Really clean. I liked the birds outside every morning (though that might drive some mad we found it a highlight)

No free parking. When you’re renting a 2 bedroom unit it would help to have a space without being billed (found free spaces out on street). I personally didn’t rate the bed more than 6/10 but my travelling companions did.

They called to let us know the room would be ready earlier than our check-in time which was greatly appreciated as we had mentioned we would be arriving around lunchtime but would explore the surroundings before our check-in time at 2pm. It was great to be able to check in straight away and freshen up before heading out again. Accommodation was spacious, immaculate and perfect for two couples. Location was great for the light rail and restaurants/cafes/the beach. Staff were very helpful, parking was easy and accessible.

The central location was ideal for our few days in Newcastle over New Year. As we travelled there from Sydney by train, we used public transport (light rail, bus and ferry) over the five days - all very convenient and efficient. It was an easy walk to the supermarket and also to the waterfront with its bars and restaurants. The apartment was quiet, the beds in both bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the water pressure was fantastic. We decided we didn't need any room cleaning during our stay; however, the friendly housekeeping staff were very obliging when we asked for clean towels, extra toiletries and the removal of garbage.

The balcony was very small and as we were on the 5th floor, the view was underwhelming. The ceiling fan in the main bedroom looked as though it would fall when a high speed was selected so we kept it on low. We used the swimming pool and spa only once as the smell of chlorine was overpowering and the enclosed space lacked atmosphere. But then, with the great beaches nearby, that really wasn't a concern.

It was actually very quiet, which I was surprised about being on the 2nd floor and quite close to the noise/partying at nearby clubs/pubs etc. So that was nice. Oh and it was surprisingly very spacious - massive bathroom and great size kitchen.

There's not so much anything I didn't like, however there was one thing I totally forgot to mention to the staff when I checked out. Just wanted to mention it that's all - when I first arrived I put items in the fridge, and noticed there was a pool of water (about 30cm wide) on the kitchen floor directly in front of the fridge door. I placed a towel down to mop up the water and left it there thinking it might continue to leak. I don't know if it had anything to do with causing the leak but I did notice the fridge wasn't very cold and I had to adjust the temperature dial inside the fridge so it was colder. After a couple of hours I did notice that it seemed to have stopped the leaking coming from the fridge.

Perfect location, right up the street from the beach, and trams are a bonus. Rooms are huge with a full kitchen which is great for a family of 4. Only complaint is the amount charged for parking, it should be included in your stay.

Parking should be included with accommodation.

Check in was super easy and the staff were great. The location gives convenient access to market town, the light rail, and the beach. We've stayed at this specific quest multiple times before but it was great to know that the experience is universal no matter who you book with or what price you pay.
