The location was excellent with lovely views over the harbour facilities. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We ate the first night in the restaurant which had good views over the harbour. Staff were extremely helpful during our entire stay.

It was not clear on booking that valet parking would cost $35 a night. Although we enjoyed our meal in the dining room there were limited options, especially no salads as a meal. We are older travellers and look for menus to have smaller and more simple options as we do not eat as much now.

The things that stood out to me were excellent service the welcoming staff so professional and amazing!!!!Great facilities great views and attentive staff .right on the harbour with plenty of great food restaurants and cafes so just walk outside the doors to beautiful views of the harbour and dine and drink great cocktails as well !! Fantastic option to receive concierge parking was a treat as well Everything was awesome fantastic!!

only 2 x things that I can comment on was not having a stand alone shower as I didn't like standing next to a shower curtain in a bath . And would have liked more options with breakfast pancakes and fresh fruit that is just being picky .

Great service from all the staff

The clip on one of the coat hangars in my wardrobe was broken - and the coat hangar needed replacing. It was that way when I arrived on my previous visit, so I left it out on the bed, but the cleaners may not have realized it was broken so the faulty hangar was just put back in the wardrobe, and was there for me to see on my next visit. Also room cleanliness - one of the drinking glasses hadn't been dried properly and still had water droplets on it when I checked into my room.

1. The harbor view was lovely. 2. Your male staff member on reception at 9.30 pm on Thursday night was fabulous. I needed my phone charger and he arranged for someone to collect it out of our rental car in valet parking. within 5 min it was delivered to our room. 3. David your main waiter in the dining room was great and the 5 course tasting menu was fabulous. My husband is a chef and we dont normally eat in hotels but we were really surprised with the freshness and quality.

1. The bottom sheet had some black marks on it so I took it off the bed and moved the top sheet to under the dovet. 2. My husband was looking for an extra pillow to support his injured arm and we couldn't find one in the room which was disappointing but we made do.

The location was fantastic! Pool was also lovely and we really enjoyed the slide!

Some of the staff were not very friendly at times however the housekeeping staff were the exception, with everyone we met being very friendly and polite. It seemed as though some of the front desk and bar/cafe staff didn't want us there. The coffee in the morning was undrinkable... absolutely disgusting, which is why we didn't eat breakfast there, plus we couldn't find anyone to seat us...

Location is fantastic.you are a stroll away from beaches restaurants bars and theatres. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable Reception staff kind warm and efficient . Upgrades given without requests Car parking staff also very efficient and helpful Restaurant staff not quite to the same degree- obviously understaffed and unable to take bookings due to chef issues

On this occasion we had hoped to eat in the hotel as five adults and one very tired child but restaurant unable to accommodate many even though very few diners. Understaffed this night

Rooms were spacious, bed was extremely comfortable. The bar was great for a pre dinner drink. Location is close to theatre and several bars. We noticed the pool, poolside and playground and are keen to bring our kids back.

The rooms were quite dated for the price. The corridor to each room appeared old, marked and damaged. No microwave in the room. Room had an over bath shower. Much prefer an actual shower!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rydges in Newcastle which was a planed parents retreat. The location was perfect (being close to restaurants, cafes, shops and very accessible walks). We walked, ate, napped and relaxed. The facilities would have been perfect if we had brought our children too as there was a great pool, mini playground and kids room. Buffet breakfast was very nice for us on the second morning as it was raining and we couldn’t be bothered walking in it. The only thing I would suggest for the buffet is to have something other than coffee bags available for the coffee drinkers. We loved our room which had a beautiful comfy bed, separate lounge room and kitchenette. The bathroom was a great size and nicely updated. Everything was perfectly clean and the room was laid out just right. Valet parking was easy and well priced.

Nothing! A coffee machine in the buffet breakfast area would be a great addition (just a suggestion). However there are plenty of cafes close by for a great coffee.

Great location close to restaurants, harbour and city. Staff were helpful & friendly keen to give you city tips

Received wrong parking information. I send a message to double check & just received 1/2 the info I asked for. Rang again and received the information needed. Coffee table wasn't clean & tv table was very dusty. Bathroom was very clean which is the most important View was disappointing for the cost of staying in a room with a view. Would expect a pod coffee machine not instant coffee 🤷🏻

The location was amazing. The room was dated and need a good clean e.g curtains carpet and walls. Breakfast at $29.00 per head was expensive and could not compete with the options available locally.

The window in the bathroom with a Venetian blind that was not fit for purpose. It did not give any privacy to the person using the bathroom or the bedroom. At the entrance there were two large pots containing trees. As I walked out the entrance the pot on the left was too large for the small footpath area where cars were being unloaded or dropped off. Every time I walked past the protruding branches caught my face and hair. I reported this to reception but did not get a favourable response. This is a Work health and safety issue and needs to be taken seriously.
