Great location!.situated near a busy road and a car wash across but could not hear anything from the room, very quiet. Only 5 minutes drive to the beach and main food places. Picked up keys via locked safety box outside of reception. Did not see any staff, so could not rate that. It was an easy check in and check out. Don't be fooled on the outside the, the room was recently renovated and is clean. Comfortable beds.

Did not see any exhaust fan but had a window in the bathroom. Could've used to turn on the light outside in the reception office to help with walking to the car during the night.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was hot and our room has been nicely refurbished. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The external appearance which appears to be rather dated and in need of updating was a little concerning when we arrived. Do not be deterred, the exterior does not reflect the refurbished rooms. Easy to find and easy to depart heading north. A good overnight stay.

In terms of the room, nothing. It was a great stay. The exterior of the property could be upgraded to reflect the actual accommodation rooms. If driving past, it would be tempting to keep driving.

Almost everything. No oil painting from the street but don’t judge a book by its cover! Compact floor plan with everything you need where you need it including a functional adequately equipped kitchenette. Appears to be recently refurbished with new fittings and cabinets installed to a high standard. Thoughtfully put together right down to the choice of ceiling fan. Appreciated the 300ml of fresh milk in the fridge as opposed to the long life milk most motels provide. Really helpful staff. Value for money.

Early morning traffic noise a bit of a downer. Car parking is just okay and very exposed to the main drag.

We stayed (Father & son) in unit 7. Opening the door to enter was an excellent surprise. This would have to be one of the best room renovations I have seen. Practical layout with sensible sized fridge and a proper sink so we did not have to fill the kettle, wash our mugs etc. in a basin next to the toilet. Well-designed ensuite with excellent shower.

The only suggestions I have is to replace the old through the wall type air-conditioner with a split system unit (the unit is not very noisy but a split would be better). The door catch is loose so the door was rattling as it was windy during the night.

Hotel was cheap and I could park my new car in front of my room and keep an eye on it. The outside lights turned off around 9.30pm to stop people hanging around outside.

There was another guest staying that made me feel uncomfortable traveling alone. Constantly sitting outside the room watching everyone’s comings and goings. The smell of his cigarettes wafted into my room all night. Rooms are not soundproof. People were coming home late and chatting outside until very late. Suggest moving the smokers table to the gravel section front of the hotel so that everyone doesn’t have to smell it.

The rooms have been renovated and are lovely and comfortable. The bathroom and shower great. Nice to have a little kitchenette to make breakfast, with plates, cups and crockery supplied. Location was also good. Close to river, supermarket and the Westport Bowling Club. Parking right outside room. Would definitely stay again.

There was no rail in cupboard to hang clothes.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. I'm sorry to say when you first see the motel you think "oh no". BUT we were in room 8 both stays and it was quite nice. It's away from the road so no noise and quite a comfortable room with a microwave, toaster and jug. It also had a double bed as well as a single one with a separate bathroom. I don't know what other rooms are like but #8 is great. Check in is quick and easy and walking distance to some shops. Great value place.

Parking is a little cramped but doable.

Clean, light and nicely renovated. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom was roomy with a generous modern shower. Great hot water. We were in the family room because that’s all that was available and it was spacious with a good kitchenette.

Parking spaces are small and narrow. A tight fit for large vehicles. The hotel is a good 5- 10min drive to the beach and restaurants. (Reflected in the cheaper room price.)

This place is a surprising delight, a classic motel which has been tastefully and cleverly updated to optimise the room space to include a well-equipped kitchenette, ironing facilities, a nice bathroom AND a full length mirror. Easy check-in/out. Parking directly outside the room, great for an overnight stay and early departure. Good value.

it is set in a good location it looks old but the rooms are very clean and they are updated this time we stayed in room 6 it was quite big for the size of it with a new updated bathroom and air-conditioned with a bonus ceiling fan we only stayed for the night. But we will stay there again the next time we go to Port Macquarie
