Large room very comfortable bed crisp clean linen & soft clean towels. We had a family room which slept 5 though there was only 2 of us. Very happy to find a medium size fridge also a microwave. Great location for our requirements. Staff were really friendly. Easy access into the bistro of the hotel with superb meals definately would stay again

The property is dated but for the price I really didn't care. The bathroom had small amount of mould above the shower.

a) Close to airport ($15 taxi fare), meal was great, bed was comfy, slept well. b) Room was end of row and upstairs which was difficult for me with walking stick, though Bar Manager helped me upstairs and was kind enough to get TV fixed quickly and even brought my meal up to me as I was happy to wait until 7pm when the busy hour eased.

a) No proper locks on doors or security chain or other means of securing, only one simple pop-in button. b) Although the room was spacious with beds chairs table and counter good, the room was in need of refurbishment, just looking rather tired and well-used, with soiling/stains etc on curtains, walls, carpets and some bed covers. c) It was rather difficult to get downstairs in the morning with 2 bags and walking stick, and quite difficult to find way around the back area, searching different entrances, some locked and a wrong end of building, until I found someone to show me to the actual front door to meet my Taxi back to airport to collect hire car.

Loved the spacious room and private patio. It was handy having the hotel downstairs, which had a great menu, although we didn't actually order any food. Seemed like a great atmosphere in the bar. Staff were really friendly and informative. Playground looked good for the kids but it was raining, so our kids didn't get a chance to play. Handy location and close to shops.

Water kept turning from hot to cold, which took a while to get used to. A toaster would've been handy.

Staff were lovely. The size of the room was good.

Cleanliness - the carpets had large stains on them, the shower had mould and the patio fence was very unsafe, if you put the tiniest bit of pressure on it, it moved alot. If someone actually fell against it it looked like it would give way. Given we were on top floor it was dangerous. Especially for the price of the room.

Huge room with a good bed directly above the Pub. Great food at the restaurant. Staff very friendly but a very noisy check in process at the bar.

The parking is around the back of the hotel and is under some trees full of fruit bats. My car was covered in bat droppings the next morning. Maybe parking can be in the main carpark in a bat free zone.

The Settlers is a fantastic stop over point halfway to the Gold Coast. The room facilities are excellent for pub style accommodation. Very spacious and very comfortable. Also quite which is not usually the case. The pub and bistro itself are outstanding. I found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. All in all a great place to stay and thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Service was fantastic, cant remember the persons name who served us it had been a long day and I was tired, i think his name was Dan, his customer service skills where fantastic and he was extremely helpful. Even though the restaurant was fully booked for dinner he went above and beyond to get us a table by opening up the function room so we didn't have to find somewhere else to eat after a long day. Food was great, our youngest daughter is a fussy eater and never finishes a meal however she demolished it here. We stayed here just as a cheap and quick stop over on the way back to Victoria from the Gold Coast and it exceeded our expectations.

Bathroom of the room we had could use a fresh coat of paint but other than that everything was great.

Loved the space, roomy, comfy beds. The room was quiet even though next to a busy bar. We wanted a chair and table to sit. Found those in the balcony so that was great.

Stairs access a challenge. But not too far from the car. Room was big and clean except for ants in the bathroom and the balcony furniture is pretty dirty.

Fabulous Bistro with great specials and fantastic meals. Easy access from rooms. Obviously quite popular and great value for money given the number of locals observed dining

Showers in Bathroom need updating in family room. Signs of mild around floor tiles and on ceiling in shower cubicle

Our rooms are huge. There is a double bed and 3 x single beds. It includes a small kitchenette area with fridge and tea & coffee making area, table and chairs for 4, a private bathroom and a balcony.

The double bed was a little hard and lots of stairs to get up to the room but other than that, nothing else.
