Exceptional location with well-presented rooms! The water views from our balcony were spectacular. Our stay at Sails Port Macquarie by Rydges was truly remarkable. The TWO electric vehicle charger facilities were an unexpected delight, allowing us to conveniently recharge overnight before our early departure to Sydney. As seasoned users of Tesla Superchargers, we were pleasantly surprised by this thoughtful amenity. This progressive approach to sustainable transportation aligns seamlessly with our commitment to a greener lifestyle, as we have transitioned away from traditional gas-powered cars.

Unlike a few of the other guests there, we didn't leave enough time during our stay to enjoy the beautiful swimming pool.

First time staying at Sails Rydges, it was perfect our room was right buy the glorious pool and spa which was super clean and so inviting. We swam in it everyday and then relaxed by the pool. Their is plenty of Sun lounger chairs for everyone, for privacy they are spaced out two together under Cabanas. The view from the pool is beautiful water views and moored boats. Their is also a jetty you can relax on. To open our curtains to pool and water views was beautiful, so relaxing and peaceful just sitting on our verandah in the sun and, watching a cute water dragon relaxing as well. The room was spacious, clean and super comfy beds. They have the most wonderful, friendly, professional staff. The breakfast buffet is Delish, with a great range of breakfast delights. The hotel is in a great position close to everything and the town centre, but out of the hustle and bustle of the town centre. I took a picture from my room of my view of the pool, boats and the glorious palm trees, my friends asked if I was in Fiji. I can’t wait to stay here again and highly recommend. I’m also feeling blessed and grateful at the room I was given right by the pool and spa. Much appreciated. I highly recommend staying here, I will be back. There is also ample parking at a cost of $10 a day. Their is a happy hour at the beautiful bar, I’m not a drinker so I can’t comment t on how the cocktails were. The hotel was not far from the rainforest, koala hospital or strawberry farm.

I can’t fault anything.

Room service seafood pastas was to die for and we were very happy with the breakfast at the restaurant. Also, I thought the fire pit at the bar was a stroke of genius, creating a very elegant ambience. Bed was wonderful for hotel standards these days.

Due to a local power outage, we were unable to leave our room for hours as the card keymaker was offline, this was annoying having been on the road all day because we were to tired to continue and we thought we would splurge and spoil ourselves with luxury accomodation for the last day/night of our trip. Also, the proximity of neighbour apartment especially as he poked his head around the corner of his balcony and said hello in a weird way, scaring and frightening me. My husband had to tell him to buzz off.

A very good location, close to a number of restaurants, a major shopping centre close by, good walking and very good views over the water. The gardens are spectacular and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. The "green card" is an excellent initiative, not only good for the environment and a bonus for guests but a means of overcoming staff shortages.

The cleanliness of the room could be improved. There were the remains of insects behind the curtains and under the chairs. There was a packet of buttons beside the cushion on one of the chairs. No undercover parking. The Boat House menu could be more extensive.

We stayed as a stop over for one night during our drive from Sydney to Byron Bay. It was a nice place to stay for this purpose, however having said this we wouldn't stay there as a destination for a holiday, as it's not our personal style. Like a top quality 3-4 star hotel, not 5 stars. The location is nice (water views) and right next to all the shopping and food venues, all within about 5 minutes walk. The hotel is newly renovated and in good condition. We had a dinner and a breakfast and the food is pretty good, can't fault the breakfast buffet.

Just not a luxurious place, that's all. Perfectly good for what it is.

Exceeded our expectations. Such a beautiful building and friendly staff. Our room was small but all we needed for an overnight stay. Very easy to get around with luggage. Loved the balcony and view over the pool and beyond. Clean, comfortable chairs, the bed was huge and comfy. The bathroom was fine and well supplied.

A little more space is always nicer to have when you have luggage taking up a room, but we were only there for one night and managed. If I was staying longer I would need a bigger room.

Great location and stunning scenery. Rooms were very clean and housekeeping was helpful. Enjoyed the pool and the general vibe of the hotel. Would definitely return for another trip!

Reception could have been friendlier and more welcoming. They couldn't locate the booking at check-in even after I showed them the Booking.com confirmation - I would recommend calling beforehand to avoid any unnecessary stress at check in. It didn't impact us but there was also a lot of noise (room near the BoatHouse bar) - so I would recommend asking for a room further away if you have kids or generally are looking for a quieter space.

Lovely sized room - 1 king, 2 singles. The pool area was fantastic! The entrance was open and welcoming.

The air-conditioner was quite poor/barely worked for the middle of Summer. The bar fridge was barely above room temperature and we didn’t have a phone for the room. We couldn’t order adult meals via the app for room service (only kids meals and desserts). The reception staff weren’t helpful and seemed dis-interested for the issues mentioned above (excluding restaurant staff who were lovely and tried to help for the room service component).

We were happy with the room arrangements, even though we had to change rooms due to an unsafe power point in the room we got first. We requested a room with direct pool access and we got the one we wanted.

The evening bar service was poor. We'd been back 2nd year in a row, the bar service was a negative experience both times. They didn't get our orders right, like none of it was right and the service was very slow.

Last night of a 15 night holiday. Travelling with 2 adults, 19 year old son and 14 year old daughter. The room configuration was great especially the lounge chairs to relax in. Nice view from the balcony. The pool had a extra dose of blue on the morning we swam in it. Room was clean and comfortable.

Not a lot really. Just the beds could have been a bit firmer. Our room looked out onto the river and was over the restaurant so was a bit noisey in the morning. Other than that all good 👍🏽
