The bungalow was very spacious, private (when we stayed) and comfortable. Loved the enclosed fly screened verandah overlooking the lake? (water). We stayed 2 nights while our car was being modified for camping at Slacks Creek. We chose this location because it was close but we also wanted to relax after a long stint of work in nature. We did exactly that. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

We didn’t have a car with us at the time and I thought we would be able to do some waking in the bush but it wasn’t really set up for that. We were right at the top entrance (lake view) It was a little noisy on the road at times with cars going fast along this road nearby which was a shame otherwise it’s a very peaceful environment.

The location was peaceful, calming & relaxing. Well placed in close drive to shopping & restaurants but set in quiet secluded bushland. The timber hotel was beautiful, lovely timber decks with glass frontage overlooking bushland while enjoying high tea was a memorable experience!! Having your own private deck to sit outside & relax enjoying the silence was another favourite, I can't wait to book a private cabin next visit! The customer service was exceptional, Sue was very gracious host. Sue was attentaive to her guests, always making us feel welcomed & attending to anything we needed. She also went out of her way to arrange a high tea booking outside general hours due to our limited time, which we will never forget, thank you Sue.

I haven't experience the private cabins, but as general feedback the bathrooms (rooms) in the hotel would benefit from a more modern renovation, and possible a new bedroom decor (bed frame, curtains, floor rug & outside table set), this would lift my rating of the facilities. Also I am unsure weather a breakfast service is provided, the hotel dining area is large and amazing, the property would benefit from a breakfast dining service being available.

We loved everything about our beautiful cabin! The beds are so much nicer than most hotels we have stayed at, and waking up with just you and the wilderness is such a delightful feeling. The showers have amazing water pressure, and the verandah has a full view out to the land while still being netted so you don't get critters coming through. The air con and fans were also exactly what we needed during the hotter days. The staff were very helpful with any questions I had prior to staying.

The only part we didn't like was having to leave and finish up our holiday.

We attended a concert at Sirromet Winery and chose this property due to it being in close proximity to the venue. We were so pleased with our stay. Our lakeside pavilion was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The bathroom was modern with a huge shower with the best water pressure. The screened patio area with day bed was a cosy place to relax while reading a book and enjoy the peace and tranquility. Sue was the most gracious and helpful host, organising transport for us to and from Sirromet Winery making it a smooth and stress free way of getting to and from the venue. We loved everything about our stay and would definitely stay there again. Thank you Sue for making our holiday so enjoyable.

There was some road noise which we noticed during the day but quietened down at night. However this was not problematic for us.

Sue the owner was amazing and so friendly and welcoming her customer service was exceptional and the houskeeper Nicky was also amazing, so friendly and very welcoming, We loved the peacefullness and the view from our little balcony it was so beautifull to be amongst the gum trees such a picturesque retreat.

Maybe just some feedback with the bathroom if they could disconnect the light from the fan as its very noisy for your partner when you are in the bathroom for a long period of time getting ready, so a separate switch when you are just using the mirror for the light and maybe change the bed head it did move a bit when you did get into bed and with the balcony maybe put some clear colourbond over the rafters covering the balcony, to stop the rain so you can sit out there when its raining and enjoy being outside the room as you get wet otherwise.

It was so beautiful. You feel like you're staying right in the middle of the rainforest. The outlook from the balcony is gorgeous and it's great that it's fully insect screened so you don't have to worry about bugs at night. Love it!

No improvements required. :-)

Such a perfect location to relax. So quiet and peaceful. Can't wait to come again! I booked for a concert on the sat night but was overjoyed to get 2 night before so I could have a little R&R. Manager was just so lovely and they had a bus organised for us to get to Sirromet. The cabin had all I needed. There was a heat wave while I stayed and so I took a long drive around the area. My favourite thing was you can see the sun rise through the trees from bed!

The setting in the forest was stunning. We ordered afternoon tea, which was ready and waiting for us on our balcony as soon as we arrived. The room had an amazing view and was a good size and very clean.

We stayed in the hotel section of the property, as all of the cabins were already booked. It was quite loud and you could hear other guests moving around the property. When the people in the room below us were in their bathroom, it sounded like they were in ours! That said, everyone was very respectful and noise was kept to a minimum, however we’d definitely recommend booking an individual cabin for some extra privacy and comfort, even if it means waiting a little while longer for your trip.

Nice cabins in the woods, luxurious and tasteful, big veranda and lots of glass, so you feel in the forest constantly. Host Sue is charming and very helpful. She gave me a feeder with seeds for outside my cabin and it attracted beautiful paleheaded rosella’s. The feeders near the reception attract cockatoos. Also Sue gave interesting information about the nature of the place and even made me coffee when I was working at the reception.

There is only WiFi at the reception and maybe it’s better to explain non-aussies the equipment at the first day.
