Reef Gateway Apartment is always a home away from home for me and my family. The green environment, hospitality and location from the hospital has been very much appreciated by me and my family. My dad was medivac to Cairns hospital last September and after he got discharged from the hospital, my mum managed to find accommodation for them both at Reef Gateway, which was literally a minute away from the hospital and very conveniently located. Apartment 4 at Reef Gateway will always be special to my family, and it brings many emotional memories for me, having dad there after being discharged from the hospital. Royce and the team were fantastic in taking care of my parents and us, making sure we were comfortable and felt right at home. The extra little details and touch, such a providing Moccona coffee; medium roast blend, my mum's favorite coffee blend, and even adding a rice cooker. It's the little things that have the biggest impact and is felt and appreciated. Come January 2024, time for my dad's review and of course we booked for Apartment 4 at Reef Gateway. As always, Royce was ever welcoming, ever smiling, and always going out of his way to make us feel at home. Royce has become like family to us, him and the team are always greeting us with a smile to make us feel comfortable and attend to our requests. Two bedroom apartment is air conditioned, clean and comfortable - white bed sheets, plenty of pillows and bath towels. Laundry facilities and generous kitchen area in the apartment, with a large fridge. Wi-Fi and latest technology for streaming to the TV plus in-room amenities make for a pleasant stay. Short walk to Cairns central cafes for coffee or breakfast, many restaurants and pubs for lunch and dinner are close by. Arrange a day trip to enjoy the many family friendly attractions around Cairns. Walk or ride along the foreshore Esplanade to the lagoon and marina. Across the road to medical and health facilities.

Nice big 2 bedroom apartment, a bit tired looking compared to the pictures, but perfectly adequate and good value for money, we were also allowed to check in early which was really helpful, lovely staff. I'd recommend reef gateway, to anyone looking for a reasonably priced 2 bedroom apartment with pool access.

We had a problem with noisy neighbors on the first night, but after mentioning it to the reception the following morning, we had no trouble afterwards.

I liked that it is an apartment and has all amenities ( kitchen, laundry etc). It is well serviced and has very good wifi. I was able to have work meetings online. The bed was very comfy. Overall the apartment was clean and tidy.

I had the ground floor apartment. I noticed that the grill sliding door's lock was broken. I was not able to securely lock the outer door. As for the inner glass sliding door, it worked fine. I did report this to the team. Otherwise, I though it was a great place to stay. I travelled myself. Next time, I hope to bring my family there.

The bed and lounge was comfortable and the unit was nice and bright and airy. It was well appointed with everything you need. The tropical garden and pool were both lovely. The complimentary chips and chocolates were a nice touch. The secure parking was really good and easy to access. Checking in and out was really easy too. Good communication from the staff before and after the stay.

The art work and placement really not good, the fluoro in 2nd bedroom flickered and the dishwasher was full of clean dishes so i had to unpack it and it smelled unpleasant. The drawers and cupboard utensils were pretty disorganised. The back security screen is a little hard to close and lock.

Excellent customer service. Our flight into Cairns was delayed and they had us all sorted for getting into our apartment seamlessly, even though it was almost midnight. We had a cruise to the Great Barrier Reef booked on the day we checked out and they kindly stored all our luggage so we wouldn’t have to leave it in the car all day. Beds were comfy, extra blankets provided. Lots of space for our family of four. Great location with secured parking available.

The management and staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. The kitchenette was very clean and had sufficient appliances although we ate out at night and didn’t cook. The apartment was quiet with lovely morning sun and very centrally located. A relaxing pool area with bbq facilities. Within walking distance to the two hospitals and restaurants and tourist precinct, no street noise. The area felt safe and people were friendly.

The screen door to the balcony was somewhat awkward to open. A coffee plunger would be good!

I liked the location, close to Cairns Central and the Esplanade. I liked the closed in parking also. The room we stayed in was close to the front entrance also super convenient for a big family and we had a baby travelling with us also. Aircon was great also in the Cairns heat!

More towels or floor mat for one of the rooms, the shower was quite open so the floor kept getting flooded.

The apartment was very clean, good TV and WiFi access. Hosts were friendly and helpful with good communication. Well furnished with comfy beds and armchairs. Everything worked well!

Wee bit of a walk to the nearest supermarket that I could find and the esplanade, but very handy for the airport. Would have been great to have a coffee plunger.

Location is very good - easy walk to esplanade, close to Cairns Aquarium and not far from the city and airport. The apartment is spacious and there's a very nice pool. Complimentary milk, tea, coffee and sugar was great and there were also a few cold drinks. Access was easy, but the building also felt quite secure. Jenny was very welcoming and friendly.

Under building parking spaces were very tight!
