Helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, close to the hospital and walking distance to the city

Not able to check in early

the location of the hotel was excellent. we were able to walk everywhere and found restaurants to be very close by.

we had booked several tours and none of them would pick us up at the hotel. even when they said they would the tour companies did not show up to the hotel.

The bath was very welcome after a long day. The bed was comfortable and the surroundings were quiet, so I slept well

I had forgotten the email about finding the key after hours, and one website indicated that checkin could be any time until 10.00pm, so I was disturbed on arriving after 6.00pm that I couldn't find the office, but the restaurant staff directed me to a notice and a locked box. I found out about the email from my colleague (who was dining elsewhere at the time), who gave me the code and I got my key. Before that I left three messages on the after-hours number given near the box, but no one ever returned my call either that night or even the following morning.

The location was central, restaurant on property, the room was a good size with comfortable bed.

Th Motel is a bid dated. some cracked tiles in bathroom. We had 2 odd coffee cups, no water glasses, toaster, microwave, plates or cutlery. Our room was on the ground floor in front of the pool; one afternoon a group of 5 20 year olds were in the pool with loud doof doof music and glass beer bottles when Rules clearly state no glass or alcohol in pool area. No staff came to attend to this breach of rules. Most hospitality venues have gated parking areas due to youth crime in Cairns. There is no gated car parking at this property and we had no issues.

We arrived late in the evening and the self checkin process was easy and smooth. Bed was comfy, room was clean and quiet, nice and dark in the morning to facilitate a good sleep in. In a very quiet section of the city, but walkable distance to the Esplanade and restaurants. Just a classic simple motel, got exactly what we needed out of it.

If you don’t have a car and you don’t enjoy a good walk, the location is a bit isolated.

Good location, 15-20 minutes walk from the Reef terminal, while the hotel is located in a quieter area. Big room. Light control next to bed. Daily room cleaning. Nice receptionist.

A bit oldish, but in good condition. Some of the rooms are located on the 2nd floor, without elevator.

Thank you for arranging ground level room as requested. It was very ideal for my husband as he has mobility issues. It was very suitable for him to go from room to taxi which pulled up right outside the door. Easy access to our room and to the restaurant.

A grab rail in the bathroom and toilet would have been great to assist with getting in and out of the bathtub or getting on and off the toilet as the toilet seat is very low.

Great restaurant and food. One of the best Asian restaurants I have found in Cairns so far.

When you book a room, they take a deposit, which is fair enough. However when asked for coins to use the laundry to do some washing and request charging to room/taking from the deposit. Request denied, then it takes 20 mins to go and find an atm and get cash out. Frustrating.

Location was the best aspect and it was also fairly quiet. Good value for money at short notice.

This property was comfortable but not a 4 star hotel. The paint is peeling in places, plastic chairs and damaged curtains etc. Also had to specifically request for toiletries as we were not provided until we notified reception. Parking area was not secure although on property.

I have stayed before & have no real issues , I do like the location, the staff are excellent, the front office & housekeeping were especially excellent & helpful

The room I had could have used a bit of a spruce up , it was getting a little tired , the bathroom in particular, the tapes leaked slightly
