location as advertised, directly across from beach, unit had all you needed for your stay, great air-conditioning (especially since it was hot & humid), bath, washer & dryer & the shower water pressure was great, couldn't fault the amenities, reception staff extremely helpful, swimming pool was fantastic, tv had all the channels & a few Foxtel channels (sports etc), watching the incredible electrical storms at night !!

the leather sofa & chair desperately need replacing (showing its age & not very comfortable), the room had a nice expansive balcony (which was great), but the room had 2 rooms above it & both of their balconies overlooked the room, very disconcerting as people can watch you without your knowledge, so lack of privacy was a concern. A suggestion to put a cover over the balcony to stop people looking over (and hearing them talk), would be a good addition (it could be a red awning to keep in with the red awnings on the outside of other rooms).

Fabulous location central to most things in Coolangatta, walking distance to shopping & dining, & straight across to the beach. The ground floor rooms have a great large outdoor patio area. The pool area and grounds are a standout at this hotel.

Rooms are looking a little tired and rundown and are in need of some renovation and maintenance. Disappointing that the cafe wasn’t in operation. Would be a great addition to have this open again. Kids games room needs a significant update with free activities such as table tennis rather than all the paid games, pinball machines etc.

We loved the big swimming pool and the walk in kids pool, spa and our favourite the water slide, great for the kids and were a good temp this time compared to our last stay. The location is amazing we just walked across the road to go to the beach using the front stairs access, it’s close to heaps of cafes, takeaway places, cafes and food places right at your front and back street. The rooms have been upgraded since our last stay 2 years ago, updating the bath shower to a big modern shower and new vanity this was a great touch. The rooms also have a fold out couch that isn’t in the description so that is also handy for the kids to sleep on. The staff were amazing and very helpful. We loved our stay and enjoyed all the facilities and will recommend to all of our friends.

We were surprised to realise the two bedroom apartment was two seperate locked rooms joining with a small foyer. This didn’t work for our family so we used the couch that folded out into a bed and didn’t use the other room. If you have two families I would recommend the two bedroom apartment as it has a seperate bathroom and couch ect.

We had a great 3 night getaway 25 November to 28 November. Absolutely amazing weather and the resort very comfortable. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We booked an ocean view unit 362/364 (2 bedroom apartment) which was amazing. In the second bedroom (like a studio apartment) it had a couch which when you remove the cushions folds down from the wall to form a double size bed. So basically in this room you can have 4 people sleeping comfortably. There is a private screen sliding blinds to separate the two areas. 364 had the master bedroom, bathroom with great laundry, kitchen (great fridge), lounge & dining and nice balcony overlooking the beach. The master bedroom even had a desk which was very useful as my husband had to work. 3 flatscreen televisions, plenty of storage and oven/cooktop and dishwasher.

Just a few missing items in the kitchen which would be handy for next time. Kitchen scissors, more cutlery, decent breadboard, more glasses (we ended up using the ones from 362 as that room had it’s own bar fridge/coffee maker etc. There was clothes airer but no pegs. That wasn’t a problem as I always bring my own. The staff were accommodating in ensuring we were comfortable and also provided door stoppers so we could move freely between our two rooms.

The staff were very friendly and obliging. I was really impressed that they recognised my birthday with a bottle of wine and moved me to a quite room when I was originally put into a front room near busy road, The pool area was really lovely even though the weather was a bit cold.

The main annoyance was the very poor internet / WI FI signal. It kept dropping out or was very weak so I could not even send emails etc at times unless I had mobile data. I was also disappointed that there was no in room service / housekeeping and that I had to take out rubbish and obtain towels from reception. I didn't expect fresh towels / linens every day but I think being asked mid week by a housekeeper if I needed housekeeping services would have been nice.

We were surprised at how close we were positioned to the Seafront but this also had its disadvantages due to the position of the Lifts which isn't something we had allowed for when booking. I use a Walking Frame for support. The Cleanliness of the apartment was overseen by very efficient staff & they bring their own personal experiences with them.

We would have liked a better selection of Glassware, Cutlery & Crockery in the room to reflect the wonderful Seaview Vista. There were only TWO Wine glasses & one was Plastic which wasn't a great advertisement for this exceptional room. I found the oversized Bathroom/Shower/Laundry positioning a little intimidating due to the fact there was no Handrail inside the shower for elderly support. The Dryer decided to play-up but this has been reported to management.

Perfect location near cafes, groceries, beach, transport. Fantastic outdoor heated pool area with water slides and cafe on site, plus sauna, gave it a very resort vibe. The pool was always pretty empty but may be due to time of year (Aug). The complex spans between 2 streets and there is swipe door access from multiple sites, so very convenient to go the back way from beach to pool to room without passing through reception. The 1bed apartment was compact and well equipped with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, cooktop and even an airfryer!! Plenty of PowerPoint's for charging. The bed in a separate room was super comfy (soft, not hard) and the balcony was accessed from the lounge and bedroom, so lots of light and air flow. The bathroom was spacious and and accessible from bedroom and kitchen/lounge room. Good water pressure!! Very good apartment layout. Perfect for a couple.. Great value for money. Nice helpful staff. It appears to have permanent residents as well as holiday rentals on site. The entire place was very well kept. Very clean and immaculate gardens.

Although it was very clean, the apartment had stains on the walls (splashed red wine?) and carpet. The bathroom set up was wierd. There was a bath with overhead shower, which was fine, but access was from beside the toilet, and the hinged glass shower screen didn't stay in place so floor and toilet got wet. Washer and dryer are loud so just don't put them on when you are trying to sleep. None of this would stop me from staying there again!

The location & pool facilities at this hotel are amazing! Right opposite the beach and with all the food & drink places you need, whether eating out or buying in. The lagoon style pool area is huge, with 2 water slides and plenty of seating options all around with shade or sun. Kept clean everyday too. I requested a level 1 room at booking which didn't come through to the hotel, however they were able to switch me into a level 1 room at check in no dramas. If you arrive early, they will let you park and give you an access card which gives entry to the pool area until your room is ready 👍

Some minor niggles with the room which come from it being a little dated ie all tv remotes random & don't give full functions, random sized plugs don't fit the sink/bath properly, some door stops missing so you have to carry your key around to move around between 2 bed apartment- nothing that really impacted our stay.

Arrived half an hour early and our room was not ready. Reception staff were really helpful and we were given another room with an ocean view. We were very impressed with room, having a separate bedroom to the lounge. Would have liked to have stayed longer. Even a washing machine, with washing powder supplied. Literally a stone throw from the Ocean, walk out the back gate and across the road.

Quite a walk from the lift to the room. With heavy suitcases and suffering from arthritis this was a mission. Thankful our daughter was there to give a hand pushing the suitcase trolley provided.

Our recent stay at the Oaks Gold Coast Calypso Plaza Suites was outstanding. The location is unbeatable, right in front of the beach and within walking distance to fantastic bars, restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets. The apartment itself was cozy and fully equipped with everything we needed, including a complete kitchen and laundry facilities, which made our stay incredibly convenient. The common areas were equally impressive, especially the pool and jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The cleanliness of the apartment was impeccable, with spotless surfaces and pristine bed linens. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were always polite, attentive, and eager to assist with any requests, making us feel warmly welcomed throughout our stay.
