Daily dinner and breakfast offered to guests, very delicious food! Kitchen is large and good amenities such as coffee and an ice cream maker. AC in building. Quiet time from 9-9 (mostly respected by other guests) Clean and easily accessible facilities. Washroom showers were stocked with body wash/shampoo/conditioner. Location was great and central. Individual beds were set up well with shelving, personal lighting, charging, privacy curtain, ample storage space and comfortable bed.

Person above me had someone else with her, made it difficult to sleep. They kept dropping articles of clothing through the gap in the bunk bed, I had socks fall on my face and a pair of underwear fall onto my mattress. Someone pooped in the floor of a shower in the woman's bathroom and did not clean it up. If you are living or staying in a shared space like this: BE RESPECTFUL AND RESPONSIBLE. Nobody should have to clean up after you.

The entire staff is amazing (EXCEPT FOR THE MANAGER ELENI), the mood and people are amazing!

The attitude of the manager call Eleni !! Her job is to manage, not mistreat. If respect isn’t part of her skill set, maybe it’s time to reconsider her role.

Wow! 110 people in one dorm and it works very well. The dorms are quiet, the kitchen is clean, the bathrooms as well, everybody have a big locker for a backpack and small bags, plugs on the bed, 100% privacy, breakfast and dinner included. It all works very because of the strict rules and settings from the staff. I appreciate this. The beach is 2 minutes away, right in front a tram and the main street of Gold Coast. A amazing and good experience.

The breakfast is to late and the time too short (9:00am - 9:30am) The dinner to late as well (8pm)

Very friendly staff and very friendly atmosphere encouraging guests to socialise, particularly during the tasty free breakfasts and dinners. Free ice cream available all day which was a nice touch. Great central location, a few minutes walk to the beach, surrounded by restaurants and cafes. Pod is very spacious and contains shelves, charging port and place to hang clothes. Room was nice and quiet during the night which is surprising given the number of pods. Communal bathroom and showers very clean with some toiletries supplied. Good washing machine and dryer facility which you can conveniently pay by card. By far the best hostel I have ever stayed in and would definitely recommend.

There is no lift so you have to carry your luggage up a short flight of stairs to reception.

It’s a great place to stay. The beds are comfortable and feel private, the bathrooms are clean and there is enough for everyone even though it’s so many people in one place. Thanks to the windows on the roof you get natural light in the morning. The bed for two is small but comfortable and has a little hanger area and two shelves. The place is very social and hard not to make friends especially at breakfast/dinner time. Beef, chicken and veggie options for dinner and pancakes, yogurt, and cereal for dinner.

Some people in the dorms don’t use headphones in the morning but that’s not a hostel issue that’s just stupidity on the travelers side. They do offer earplugs in case you need them.

Tequila Sunrise is a wonderful hostel mini-chain and I will always look for them whenever I backpack around Australia. The amenities provided go above and beyond what is usually expected of hostels, especially for this price! The showers are clean and have good pressure, and good quality shampoo/conditioner/body wash are provided, as are hair dryers and straighteners. The kitchen is a wide open space with a large island counter, and has plenty of tools/appliances for cooking. The free breakfast provided exceeds expectations, with things like pancakes, nutella, flavoured yogurt, and sometimes even fruit! And Tequila Sunrise is the only hostel I know to provide free dinner as well, which makes it an incredible place to stay for longer trips. The staff are so welcoming and work very hard to keep the atmosphere of the hostel lively with activities. I felt right at home with them!

All the areas are common areas, so it's impossible to find a little corner for some alone time with a book or something, unless it's in your sleeping cubby in the large dorm-style room, which isn't too quiet in the daytime.

Very well managed, clean, comfortable. Staff is friendly, fast check in/out. I was afraid that people would be loud as it's one big room for all the beds. After 10pm everyone went quiet, the room was darkened but with enough lighting on the ceiling to guide you to the bathroom or outside. In fact they project beautiful soothing light patterns on the ceiling for this purpose. The pods have a lockable large drawer each, perfect for 2-3 bags of hand luggage size items or backpacks. You need your own padlock. The floors are kept clean of luggage and shoes, so you don't need to worry about tripping up in the night. The pod has a light, curtain, linen, shelves, sockets - all you need to recharge yourself and your devices. Very clean, good size bed, good night sleep. Well managed respectful culture! The hostel offers social area, kitchen, and organised varied events in the evenings, which looked fun (but I was always busy to stay). Also food seemed great, but you need to be on time before it's gone! Very close to the beach. 100% recommended!

I had a really good experience at the hostel. I got there late at night and Sebastian was really kind, helping me to find my bed and showing me the facilities. I would like to make a compliment to the staff, specially to Sebastian, Isco, Maria (the one who cleans the kitchen), the guy from Laos, the other guy who I helped to take the big bins out, he speaks Spanish, but I don’t remember his name, the lady responsible for the karaoke night, they were all lovely and I had an amazing stay. The breakfast is great with many options, but the dinner was not so good after the Brazilian chef left, so maybe you should look for another person to cook dinner. In general, it was amazing. I went to Gold Coast without plans and I am glad I could stay in this hostel.

I did not like the way one of the receptionists answered me when I asked about the fridge. She was rude and with no reason, totally different from all the people working at the hostel. Anyway, it doesn’t reflect the other people working at Tequila.

Everyone is friendly, place is one block from the beach and near all the night clubs in town, good restaurants and malls. Bathroom are really clean and supplied with shampoo, soap and conditioner. Breakfast is great and the place is comfortable and sunny.

My bunk bed got REALLY got during the first night in spite of the air conditioning being ON in the room. I don't know if the curtain blocks the cool air or not. You can easily hear voices of people wandering around the aisles around 3 a.m (in front of your bed) coming from parties, etc. Also, I wish there were small shelves inside the bunk. Something weird is that anyone sleeping in the lower beds can see and maybe access what is stored in the locker of the person sleeping the upper beds because the lockers are drawers at the bottom. They just have to lift the mattress to see what is down there.

Hostel staff were really helpful and welcoming, the hostel itself was really clean and I regularly saw it being cleaned and kept tidy. There was shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the showers which I thought was a nice touch and hairdryers and straighteners in the women's which I really appreciated. The beds were comfortable and if you needed more blankets or towels you were able to grab them from laundry. The hostel provided breakfast and dinner everyday which was lovely, the breakfast had a lot of variety and catered for everyone and dinner was always a decent sized portion with option for seconds. Very yummy dinners too as they are cooked by staff but if you are staying long term you may fancy cooking yourself every now and then as it's a lot of pasta - easy to batch cook! The social space was a nice balcony area and inside sofa area with a small gym area at the back, I thought it was a nice space to relax. The kitchen was well equipped and they had complimentary tea and coffee. The location was good in terms of a short walk to the beach and supermarket and lots of public transport within walking distance.

Could have been a hook or two in the dorm beds just for towels etc. Fridges were always pretty full so bit of a squeeze but managed to fit our bag in. The hostel is opposite a large hotel so can be a bit noisy with road and other holiday makers noise but nothing disruptive if you were inside the dorm. Slightly dark in the bathroom could do with a brighter light.
