Wonderful Cath (I hope that is the right name...sorry if my memory has lagged) met me when I arrived a little late after taking some exciting detours on my journey down from Cairns. She was joyful, welcoming and very informative and made arrival easy and settling in a breeze. I loved the room - heaps of space and well appointed kitchenette with good sized bathroom. My husband would have loved the baggage racks in the room - so unusual these days but they certainly make things easier. Bed comfy, room quiet and dark for good sleep, close to beach for early and late swims/walks/photos/bird watching (black cockatoos & other); Book swap was also great; Parking straight outside my room AND under cover - what a treat! It was my first time here and I really loved it and I could walk to get food at the very friendly local grocery store and food outlets. I will definitely return. I really enjoyed this clean, tidy, friendly and well run facility - thanks so much!

Staff were friendly and helpful but unobtrusive when not required. Rooms were clean and comfortable with everything needed for self catering stay. Resort is right on Blacks beach.

Outside of the resort and beach there are not many facilities within easy walking distance.

The Comfort Resort is a great location. Kathy was so kind & accommodating for my late night check in, she extended outstanding hospitality! My room was impeccably clean! It had comfortable bed and pillows. I love that I could hear the ocean from my room! It was a delight! This location has a fantastic beach just minutes away to enjoy a sunrise walk!

I liked everything about this property.

Beautiful beachside location under the palm trees. Family-run business, extremely friendly and helpful. Beachside BBQ's perfect dinner location. BBQ's and park area are clean and well tended.

Apartments are dated, but this is justified by the reasonable accommodation price.

Great views and ground. Staff were friendly, room was clean and spacious. Was exactly what we needed for our stay, will happily return next visit again and recommend to others.

Everything was great, besides no pegs for the outside clothesline.

We arrived late. We were courtesy called at 4.30pm to find out our travel plans and expected time of arrival. We were given instructions to call using the night phone on arrival. We did. And we were met by a friendly gracious host. The rooms were of generous size. Room were clean and had modern conveniences. We travelled with young children who enjoyed the pool and there own room to share. The BBQ facility on Black beach made a great back drop for a family brunch with some great friends. That view was amazing. I’d recommend the facility to anyone planning a family reunion or a short stay catching up with friends and family.

Wifi didn’t seem to work with internet usage.

The one bedroom unit was recently refurbished and had a well equipped kitchen, with full size fridge, modern stove and oven, and good air extraction fan. The bed and lounge room furniture were comfortable. While the unit had everything we needed, it was quite small and dark inside due to the large palms and heavy vegetation (probably desirable on a hot summer day, but we like sun in winter). The beach was located about half a block away, with a through the long driveway lined with palm trees and other tropical vegetation. Hosts were super friendly.

The pool and pool furniture, picnic tables and BBQs were pretty dated and not in the condition we've experienced in other resorts. One of the two pools was closed and appeared to need major work.

The staff where great to deal with, organised late check out with the cleaning crew for us. Perfect location 2 Min walk to the beach and good pools to pcuk from

Right at the beach. Quiet, peaceful. Great for walks along the beach, relaxing. Beautiful area. BBQ's available next to beach on property. Pool is great for a dip. Tennis, table tennis, billiards, games and books also available for guests. Stayed for a week in a cute one bedroom cottage. Everything was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

wonderful location and comfortable. staff very good, not too much interaction but very helpful when required

no issues. the carport could be higher to allow 4 wheel drives to park. the rail in the bathroom was broken.
