The Location was perfect, only a short walk to Beautiful Queens Park, and lovely cafe’s! You can also walk to the CBD for some shopping if you would like some extra exercise! The rooms were also spacious enough, and yet still cosy. The Staff were very friendly and lovely and I was also able to check in an hour and a half early as the room was done, and that was very appreciated at the time. Car parking was also easy and accommodated my very tall vehicle, so was extra happy with that being able to have the car right outside the room.

A toaster perhaps would have been good, but I understand the smell of toast could easily permeate a room and be difficult to clear for the next guests! As it is very cold in this part of the country, I found the solid concrete walls behind the bed very cold, and I may be wrong but a fabric covered bed head with some padding in between may help in this case, but otherwise very comfy bed!

Larger room, older style bathroom, comfortable and warm

We paid for a Deluxe Queen which has a couch to sit on but when we got to the room it was a 4 bedded room and no couch! We may as well have had a standard room for $30 to $40 cheaper!! Our daughter had a standard queen room and was just the same as ours but had a couch and was a lot cheaper than ours. Not sure how the pricing works. I should have complained as this was not explained to us before we got into the room.

Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and there was reverse cycle aircon for heating. This property is opposite Toowoomba Grammar, about 5-10 mins walk to St Vincent’s private hospital, specialists rooms in Scott St and the Surgicentre. It is a few minutes walk from various specialist rooms located on the east end of Margaret St - so very well located for anyone having a medical visit to this side of town. The office staff member was very pleasant and helpful.

We stayed here for the ease of access to the Festival of Food and Wine as part of the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers. The hotel room was clean, the bed was comfortable and within easy walking distance of the festival. Whilst a little dated the room was very quiet and totally met our expectations and would most definitely stay here again next year if we come to the festival.

Maybe the pool area could use a little tidy up. But that's about it..

We stayed here so we could attend the Carnival of Flowers. I stayed here with my Mum and two small children, and the room was such a good size; it didn't feel cramped with all of us in there. Fantastic location, friendly staff with a very quick check-in/check-out process. Would stay here again.

The bathroom needs better ventilation as condensation built up all over the walls and roof in the bathroom area. Other than that, everything else was fine!

The room was very clean and airy with a small, ample fridge, table and chairs, luggage shelf and wardrobe with hangers. Bed was very comfortable with clean, ironed, fresh, crisp bed linen and bedside tables. The bathroom was very clean with soft towels and very spacious shower, which actually had a hand rail, a hook to hang your towel on near the shower and a soap holder, which is often not available in more modern motels, so was appreciated. Being able to open the screened windows was great to be able to have fresh air and not air-conditioned all the time. Great location in a leafy and quiet neighborhood with an easy stroll to Queens Park. We will definitely stay again.

Although not an issue for us, the parking for our room is apparently sometimes not available outside the room due to the car park layout so it can be too tight to accommodate the number of cars outside associated rooms. The car can be parked further away from the end room which means it is not outside your own room which is not as convenient but can still be accommodated in the secure motel area. The car park area needed a hose down/sweep to clean it a little but wasn't too bad. No other issues with this lovely motel.

Location is great for this stay. Close to St Vincent's Private Hospital, Toowoomba Grammar, Queens Park and city centre. Room is ok and bed comfortable. Linen was clean, staff friendly. Undercover parking at front door was handy. If you're looking for basic, well priced accommodation, this is it. We didn't use the pool, so can't really comment on that, but it looked clean.

Carpet needed a clean. Facilities could do with updating, but price reflects this. Aircon in room next door was quite noisy.

Good location, clean rooms, friendly staff. I found the price very reasonable. It was a quick stay for us, but a good stop along the way to the Fraser coast from inland regional NSW. I have stayed here before and would stay again or recommend it to others.

There was a slightly strange chemical smell in our room but it was not unbearable and the room itself was clean and tidy. The room this time was a little smaller than what I stayed in previously but was the same type of room. These were only just very minor things and did not affect our overall experience which was very positive.

There were two separate rooms with a sliding door separating them which was absolutely perfect for our needs. The location of the property was very convenient for being able to get to everywhere we wanted to get to. Great size rooms made the stay very comfortable. Staff were lovely.

Main bed was a touch soft for my comfort, but not uncomfortable by any means. It wasn't one of those that tries to consume you during the night.

The staff went the extra mile. My husband was having skin cancers removed on his head the morning of our check in and, knowing he wouldn't be up to sitting around in a café waiting for normal check in times, I asked if we would be able to check in a couple of hours early. The staff got back to me immediately and happily accommodated my request at no extra charge. That kind of customer service is rare these days.

Everything about the accommodation itself was great. Unfortunately, two doors down from us were some younger people, one of whom was shouting, screaming etc in the room and out in the car parking area until 1.30am and then again from around 6.00am until she finally left. Consequently we had very little sleep and were utterly exhausted. This is not the fault of Applegum but it did have a negative impact on our stay, which otherwise would have been great.
