Great hostel with great facilities. Good and easy laundry service, easy check in, private car park just around the corner, the guy at the reception gave us lots of tips about what to see and where to go. Adelaide central market was great and within 5 mins walk from the hostel. The room was good, clean. Shower was good. Free pancakes in the morning or breakfast for $12 wes available from 7am which was great and made it easier for us travelling with young children. We got food delivered for dinner through uber eats.

The cleanliness of the rooms was phenomenal and bathroom facilities were exceptionally clean! Really spacious kitchen facilities, and it was fully equipped with everything you need to cook a decent feed! Free WiFi throughout was a bonus, and the air conditioning in the rooms was fantastic. Was great to see many different bins for general waste / organic waste and recyclables. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable of the local area. It was great to have separate quiet rooms to relax/study/chill out in! Thanks heaps!

Nothing really, maybe some more fridge space would be great? This was a fantastic place to stay, one of, if not the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed at in Australia! Highly recommended!

Reception was very welcoming with friendly, engaging staff and Check in was smooth and quick. I felt safe staying there and liked the extra security measures like needing to swipe your card to gain entry to the shared bathroom facilities - bonus points for having separate male and female showers. I especially liked that they had reserved parking for $15 a night and could see my car from the room 😆😁 The bed was very comfortable and the room had air-conditioning and a fan. Common area was very clean and organised and had that family feel to it There was a pool table and table tennis as well. Felt at home very much. As well as a fully equipped kitchen with heaps of storage, they also had a well stocked vending machine. Also within easy walking distance to Rundle Mall. Will stay here again.

No negative remarks.

The hostel is walking distance to Central Market and Chinatown, where are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets. Furthermore, it is also close to Rundle Mall and State Library of South Australia. What's more, the bed was comfy and the shower (water pressure) was good. The kitchen was wonderful , which also provided hot water and cold water 24/7. We stayed at a 4 beds dorm that had plenty of space to put our belongings. Windows were big so that the room was bright and comfortable even without turning on the air-condition. Also, the room was quiet so that we had very good sleep at night. The car park was just ext to the hostel, which was very convenient. YHA Adelaide Central is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed.

Really enjoyed our stay here, the kitchen area is great with loads of hobs etc and the staff were amazing - really friendly and so helpful with local recommendations and public transport options.They also have free luggage storage which was great as we weren't catching the greyhound until 6pm on the day we left, they also let us continue to use the bathrooms and kitchen area after check out. Location is great and really easy to walk to the shopping streets and museums.

The upper bunk beds in our room were ridiculously squeaky so we'd all get woken up when someone turned over - luckily most of our stay we didn't have a full room. Didn't find it overly sociable which was fine as I was there with a friend but just something to be aware of if you're solo travelling, it seemed to be quite a few families and people working rather than solo backpackers.

for a backpackers i was really impressed with the location,. how big it was, the cool decor and how easy it was to come and go. the rooms served well for what we needed for the one nights stay to go to the air port early in the morning.

the doors close very loudly, as there is no bathrooms in the rooms you can hear the neighbours banging their doors, especially when the next door is a family with some kids that their parents are not controlling and was swinging the door open and shut every 2 min. after asking for them polietly to quieten down as we had a early start it was easy to rest again. the air con didnt work in the room so we slept with the door open to the balcony. this place served very well for what we needed. could suggest taller stools for the balcony so people can then observe the views better as the balcony was exactly at head height when sitting and could only see the bricks lol minor issues though

We had a spacious double en suite room with a desk and coffee making facilities, so that was a big plus. Location is great for everything in the city. Well-equipped communal kitchen.

Luggage storage room was very full and chaotic, with a lot of old and broken things taking up valuable storage space.

The place was secure, clean, spacious, great areas for a common room, as well as kitchen facilities. Bathrooms clean and separated and only could be entered w your key. Safe baggage storage area and place monitored 24/7. Staff were always friendly and helpful wuth anything...would recommend.

The fact you had to use your card to pay for laundry. I understand it keeps the amount if cash needed on the premises down to a minium but still....having the opinion to pay by cash means less surcharge on a card and when on a budget it can add up. Minor detail though.

I liked the place overall, it was clean, the staff was so good and friendly, the location is good. They offer parking service at a good price..my room was a private room for three and it was perfect for our five days of holidays. The bathroom was shared but it was clean and I didn't have any issues. I really recommend this accommodation and it is family friendly.

I didn't like that my private room doesn't have a TV, they offer a TV room but there was usually someone reading or studying and we didn't want to disturb or be so tired.

Safe, calm environment. Very helpful Staff at the reception (especially "Leo" .. Thankyou for all your help Mate!) Housekeeping was spot on. I got alot more "Hotel Experience" than I expected from a Hostel.

The constantly slamming shut of the internal doors through the night....I realise there's locks involved, but maybe a "soft close system" could be implemented at the next upgrade/maintenance etc The Y.H.A sits opposite an office block that is continuously illuminated (and the Y.H.A sign on the building too 😬) The rooms I experienced had lovely new block out curtains, but the light still came flooding in over the top pleats. But really...both these points are "first world problems" next time (...and YES! I'd happily use this accommodation again 🥳) I will just bring ear plugs and an eye mask 😊
