The staff is nice and helpful. The place is pretty clean and has all the facilities which I need to stay. I like the bathroom which provides shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hairdryer. My room is small but enough, with air conditioner, curtain, light and charger in every bed.

The only problem is that I have stayed in the room on the upper floor which is just next to the TV and sofa area. That was pretty noisy and annoying, especially on the late night time. People still hung out there to talk and watched movies loudly every night. It is so wired to set the TV next to rooms and no staff did perform the noise control as stated in the rules. All I could do is to wear earplug to sleep.

Tequila Sunrise has the exciting atmosphere of international backpacking; independent travellers finding their way and celebrating the world together. The facilities are fantastic - fully equipped kitchen and laundry, dining room and shared bathrooms. The dorm rooms are comprised of relatively private capsules that are comfortable enough, with private power outlets and secure storage space if you bring your own padlock. The friendly staff put on a free all you can eat breakfast and dinner at set times each day. For the price, the accommodation is outstanding. The location is a short walk to anywhere in the CBD.

The dorm rooms can be noisy at various times with people coming in late, needing the bathroom, or getting up early for work etc. Sleep with ear plugs. I requested to store a bicycle but this was not permitted.

Wow. What a great hostel! Everything was great. I loved the beds with their little curtains and my own light and plug. I really like the privacy part, when you're in your bed you just wanna have your private time. The WiFi was very strong. The free breakfast and dinner is great to safe some money as well. The staff was super nice and always around to help. They have a balcony with some couches were you can chill. I loved this hostel!

Would give 10 but: the aircon was pretty cold during the night and we only had like very thin sheets as a duvet. And the mattress was a bit hard. The rooms were a bit small to store my bag, it got moved every day from the cleaners but that's okay.

The pods are nice and private, with lots of shelving and storage. There is always staff around. They were very attentive. Very clean Cold drinking water! Toiletries such as towels, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner were provided. Free breakfast and dinner. My husband and I are vegan, so for breakfast, we had toast and peanut butter. Toast and cereal are always available on top of pancakes. They had soy milk on some of the mornings. On the days we could eat the dinner we had rice and vegetables, and a chicpea stew with rice. Everyone was very friendly, and it provided a chatty atmosphere. Most of the staff don't have English as a first language, but they tried really hard to make sure they understood you and communicated accurate information.

The common areas are quite small for the number of people staying there. There were no hostel events during our stay. They're not set up for more complex dietary requirements. Dinner was a bit touch and go for us. There was always a vegetarian option. Sometimes it was OK for us to eat and sometimes it had dairy in it. Maybe people with allergies and intolerances need to get in touch in advance to check out what they can provide for you.

Amazing capsule-style setup, very cozy! There are multiple common areas to enjoy, such as a balcony, a mini-gym, a lounge, etc, as well as semi-private working booths for people who need to use their laptops for work. The capsule beds are spacious, although the ceilings are a little low for above-average height people, and the mattresses are quite comfortable! The fact that they close off with a heavy curtain is great, since it blocks out light from the room and still allows for aeration. The AC was great, it even became a little chilly at night! My absolute favourite detail was the inclusion of shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers, and good quality ones at that, too. It's such a benign addition to the experience but the eye for detail made it a very special experience.

It's a very social environment, so it's quite hard to find some privacy to make a phone call or something of the like. The wifi never ended up working for me either!

I'm surprised I could enjoy a hostel so much. Beautiful old Victorian pub turned into a hostel in the heart of town. The facilities here are first class. The room doors are soundproofed, so the dorms are quiet. The capsule beds give you privacy. They don't rattle or shake. It's air conditioned. Everything in the hostel is kept clean - including toilets and showers, which are constantly used. Botanical body wash and shampoo all provided - a towel provided. God knows why, but some hostels charge for that. I didn't get up early enough to try breakfast, but you get dinner - that's two meals a day thrown in. Dinner was great for a mixed crowd and considering the budget - penne in a mushroom cream sauce. Delicious. Enough for everyone. There's space too - desks for writing, tables for eating and talking, a big TV/movie room and a north-facing verandah with lounges overlooking the street. It's a charming old building with a sense of history. I didn't want for anything in this hostel. There is always a place to sit, a clean bowl, enough food, a free toilet or shower, enough soap in the dispenser, etc. Hostels like this make backpacking worthwhile, even preferable to staying in expensive hotels. I felt I could actually live there. And for the price, it's a bargain. This is THE place to stay in Adelaide.

The name, but what can you do? It's a chain. I guess tequila sunrise is a prompt to the bucket-drinking cocktail set. Actually, the cocktail's a sunset, but it's a cheery name. I might try out another one to see if it's as well organised as Adelaide.

I'm a FIFO worker on holiday from the University of South Australia, and I always choose this hostel to rest during my week off. Everything in this hostel's kitchen has been renewed, including amenities and beds. Finding a hostel with double beds is quite rare, but this one has some deluxe beds with enough space for my books. I love the breakfast because you can find muesli with seeds and yogurt as a healthy option. Also, here, I have met many people from different countries like Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and China—lovely Asian people. It's a nice place to make friends and socialize.

The social area is not big enough, but it is okay; you can feel the warmth of friendship. In winter, it is quite useful because Adelaide is quite cold, hahaha!

The mattress was comfy within a pod, which provides an appropriate privacy, as well as, the bathroom amenities were vegan friendly and cruelty-free. And staffs were clean the hostel daily so it was super clean. Also, the location was very accessible; you could go to most of the tourist attractions and the CBD on foot within 20 min, perfect for visiting the city with a citywalk. Last but not least, the rate was included with breakfast and dinner, which makes it the best hostel in Adelaide.

Some of the staffs does not understand what I said…

The position is ideal to explore the city centre, you can easily walk almost everywhere and the breakfast and dinne included in the price make it Worth every cent. Staff was very nice and helpful and the beds were lovely and cozy and you could get some privacy just closing the curtains. Bathrooms were clean and their shower gel smells amazing!

The common space is a bit small for the amount of people the Hostel can host at any given time, especially during meals time. But there are always some quiet corners if you look around.

I like the individual capsules, so you have a bit of privacy even though you are in a shared room. It's also very clean and tidy, the kitchen is always clean and people actually put their dishes away! There's a cute little balcony to chill on, if you don't fancy sitting in the living area downstairs. Quite a few free things too, which is great, especially when on a budget!! Tea/coffee/ice cream, some meals!

The only bad thing I can think of is that it got a bit cold at night, with the air con, but that's really not bad!
