I expected a bedroom and bathroom, we got a large kitchen, large bathroom with spa bath - excellent

Check in worked because we called early to leave our bags. (Luckily someone was around and we were able to pick up the key) I believe it is normally done through a text message. However because we were travelling from England we couldn't receive texts., so messages were sent via Booking.com on email, again we couldn't access the email without a wifi signal. Luckily there was a free Wifi nearby which we logged onto to find the information. The other issue was that the free Wifi only worked in the bathroom!

Motel is very central off main road, with plenty of parking. We could walk all over Hahndorf, didn't need the car. Couldn't really hear the traffic noise as motel is back from the road. Sophie was fabulous, she checked with us each day to see if we needed anything - fresh towels, etc. Room & bathroom were extremely clean, thanks to Sophie & her team. Check-in instructions from Sophie were very clear & easy to follow, so we were able to access our room key after hours. Would definitely stay here again!

We didn't like how thin the walls were between rooms. We were kept awake by people in the next room snoring, talking & watching TV. This included rooms on both sides of us.

Easy walking distance to a vast array of shopping and eateries in this historic German town. The rooms were well appointed and staff helpful. There was also very little street noise, which was surprising considering how close we were to the main road.

Unfortunately there was no way to fill the kettle except by glasses of water from the bathroom as the kettle did not fit under the tap. We felt that this was a bit disappointing, but also realise it is a design fault and cannot be fixed easily.

we chose Hahndorf hotel as we were there for the 3 day ChristKindlMarkt and the accommodation was within walking distance of the event. rooms are quite large and the bed is huge... we were in an end room so was able to utilize the outdoor undercover seating area.

We were in an end room but the adjacent room, well the walls are paper thin, so much so you can hear normal conversations, babies crying at night and even someone snoring... Since we had a van full of stock I required a car space close to the room.. they set an area aside but other guests tended to park there when we were out, so no actual room allocated car sites.

We were recommended to visit Handorf as part of our South Australian visit. Lovely town and a high point of our trip. Now it our turn to provide a recommendation. When in Hahndorf stay at the Hahndorf Motel. It is located is right in the middle of the main street of the town meaning easy walking to all the shops and attractions. The facilities were just as advertised and was a pleasure to see the room look just like the photos. Would we choose to stay at the Handorf Motel if we are in Handorf again? Simply, yes we would.

This stay was an amazing experience of which we cannot recall any dis-likes.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The all in one body wash/ shampoo/ conditioner is great.

We didn’t actually see any staff, but we were sent a message before our stay. That is why I couldn’t rate staff properly. The pathway up to our room was a bit slippery in the rain. A notification on the website about the low clearance to the carpark would have been helpful, we just made it. The local council needs to fix the huge pothole in the pavement near the property.

Loved the location. Fabulous huge bed in the loft room. Loved that the room was so clean.

I didn't like the shampoo/ conditioner/ soap all in the one container. It meant having to move it from the shower to the sink the whole time. Luckily we had other shampoo and soap from other places we stayed. There was also no fire place like in the photo

I booked online but I did phone the motel a few days before arrival to check if the 2single beds I requested would be provided and Sophie had it all under control. Sophie and her team were great, very friendly and happy to help make our stay enjoyable. When we checked out Sophie called me only a few minutes later to let me know I left my handbag and coat in the room even sending a photo, we were able to turn around and come straight back. The beds were comfortable, room spacious, clean, bathroom large but the shower looked a little tired but still roomy and good water pressure and hot. A variety of pillows. Thanks to Sophie and the Team.

We travelled to Hahndorf for the Christkindlmarkt and only stayed overnight but were very happy with the room. It was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom and shower. The motel is located on the main street and close to shopping and dining, but also set back enough that you don't hear any noise. We enjoyed our stay and would happily book in again.

The only let-down was that there was no Foxtel and for some reason Channel 7 wasn't working either, so we weren't able to watch the cricket once we came back from the market. The fact that a note about this had been made in the Information booklet saved us from contacting reception to try to get the problem fixed. Parking also seemed limited but we were lucky enough to nab the last of the undercover parks.

The room was spacious well laid out and gave a luxury feel. The kitchen was very well appointed. The location could not be better, it is almost on the main street but back enough to be lovely and quiet. The small balcony looked onto a babbling brook which gave a lovely background sound. The internet was so good we were able to stream a movie.

Checking in is through a key safe rather than with a staff member. The bathroom was very cold and the heater took quite a while to warm the large living bedroom with it's cathedral ceilings it became quite cosy after a while.
