This accommodation is lovely, the beautiful old building is in easy drive to lots of places worthy of visiting and in walking distance to CBD 20mins, the bed is very comfortable, pillows and linen are excellent, it had 2 sitting chairs inside, minibar prices are very affordable and good selection, the shower has good pressure and really hotwater, luxurious towels and nice toiletries, nice little balcony with 2 seater setting overlooking the city, James is a lovely host and I would highly recommend the hotel to fellow travellers

Not much maybe maps makes it a little difficult to find but a phone call before putting it into the GPS will help you greatly

What a great job James has done with the hotel and his customer service. A lovely, bright, spacious, well provisioned room of which ours was on the top (3rd) floor with a sweeping city view beneath the clear Launceston sky. We enjoyed that outlook from within our room but also from the fresh air of the balcony reached through the room's French windows and from the main balconies on each floor. The room also had a well stocked fridge if needed, smart tv, spacious bathroom, warm comfortable bed and daily room servicing if desired. It was good to be within a short walk/drive to Cataract Gorge and the city too which was one of the key considerations when booking - to be able to go to both easily on foot and nearby cafes and so on. All of these collective factors combined to help to make our stay very comfortable and relaxing. We would happily stay again if back in Launceston.

The service was terrific, James the manager was extremely helpful and knowledgable and seemingly nothing was too much trouble for him. The bed was huge and comfortable with a choice of pillows available and quality linens, and the towels were soft and fluffy. A full fridge and reasonably priced mini bar added to the comfort. Guests terraces/balconys and a guest lounge are nice additions. Free parking on site was great

The property is a glorious grand old house but some of the fittings were a little tired, nothing too serious but a good clean in the corners wouldn’t go amiss.

Room was lovely, personal touches made differernce, set out well, had everything, bath and shower, nice paintings, spacey, immaculate, bed was comfortable, location was central yet quiet, pretty with garden and trees. Quiet area more away from traffic. Owner very helpful.

Nothing on personal side... was older building with history. Shared balcony could have been set out better but was so nice to be able to sit outside on it safely in evening. Lounge could have had less chairs but really place was lovely. House was well looked after. Fyi... was Marie that stayed... logged into Booking.com through Peter.

The location was great as it was close to Cataract Gorge and was within walking distance of restaurants and other shops and cafes. James made us feel very welcome and gave us detailed information at our check-in. The lovely deep bath was a nice bonus as well. The mini-bar, although we didn’t use any of it, was extensive and very well priced.

We stayed in room 36 so our view was not very good. James told us we could access the balcony but the timing didn’t suit when we were in our room. The blinds were very poor so we were woken at 5.30 as the room was so bright.

The absolute best feature in our room was the mammoth-sized bath! It was glorious. The location was great and the room was a good size for my son and I for our week's stay. I liked that I could connect my streaming services to the smart TV and the room's temperature control was good. The hotel staff also provided us with some additional utensils and appliances that made our stay a little more homely.

The room was a little dusty. But the staff were helpful when I mentioned this and we were provided with an air purifier for the rest of our stay. Additionally, given the fact the room has such a luxurious bath, it would have been nice to have some bath salts/bath bombs provided (in additional to the usual shampoo/conditioner/body wash hotel products).

The setting of the Audlington is just on the edge of the CBD, but a nice walking distance to the centre. James, the owner, was very helpful and told us a lot about the tourist attractions and restaurants, which was excellent. Our room was clean with a large bathroom designed for wheelchair access and the rooms made up each day. Although we didn't use it, there was a large, well-stocked mini bar that was reasonably priced. The location was quiet, and the place had a feel of history about it.

Nothing.

From the minute we arrived, we couldn’t believe the facade of this magnificent building. At reception, we were met by James who was both courteous and knowledgeable of the beautiful town of Launceston. All the olde world etiquette of hospitality were generously bestowed upon us as if we were friends. We absolutely loved our stay and will be forever grateful to James and his staff for making us feel perfectly at home. It is a must stay when in Launceston. Simon Davey and Christine Warren-Davey

Beautiful boutique hotel in a refurbished mansion. Less than 10 min drive from the Cataract Gorge. Rooms are well furnished with modern amenities that we felt conflicted that we were not spending more time enjoying the luxury. We had 2 bedrooms, and each room had a HD TV with Netflix access. Friendly owner who gave us plenty of dining recommendations.

If you have plenty of luggage or limited mobility, getting up to the 2nd or 3rd floor might be a challenge. There is a small lift, but might be a bit slow.

This is a nice hotel in a lovely old building and in an excellent location. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and well stocked.

Unfortunately the interior is a little tired in places and would benefit from freshening up. In our room there was chipped paint, the window wouldn't close fully so it rattled when the wind was strong and the shower leaked constantly. Also the hotel lift wasn't working.
