Huge hostel, the facilities are very nice and clean, the kitchen has everything you need to cook. The bed was really comfortable and there's plenty of storage in the room. The location is perfect.

I had to wait almost one hour for the reception to open, (low season they close from midday to 3 pm) fortunately a guest opened the door for me and other backpackers so we could at least go to the bathroom and wait inside. Also no calls were answered.

Great location to start a trip in northern Tasmania. Room clean and hit everything that was needed.

I had two nights there and on both occasions other travelers just left there, cutlery and dishes in the kitchen, very messy in the morning, and the poor guy from the hostel had to clean it up and put I away. Shame that people are unable to take care of their own matters. The kitchen would need an upgrade and a makeover.

Classic hostel with a good vibe and great kitchen facilities. Nice flexible staff meant when we turned up a bit early we were allowed to check in as the room was ready no stress. We were also upgraded to a room with an ensuite, definitely more value for your money compared to two other places we stayed in Launceston!

Could have used a little table in our room and a lamp.

Loved how spacious the hostel was! Tons of space for chilling out. It’s a big old mansion, so that was nice.

Would have liked it the staff had gotten back to me earlier regarding my message where they’d leave the key. Once I arrived late by ferry I still didn’t know where the key was even though I had messaged twice on the day and also a week earlier.

Everything was quite OK. However, I was disappointed when a bag with my clothes was allegedly stolen and the hotel personal showed absolutely no concern about my problem, like it is something normal for them. Only one reception manager said where it could be if still not stolen.

We've stayed here a few times. It is excellent value. It is a backpackers, however the private rooms with ensuite are all you need for a weekend getaway.

Didnt see a staff member on site. Check-in was easy, but there is something about being greeted by staff that I missed on this occasion.

It is a great location, beds were comfy and clean room are nice and warm. Toilets, kitchen and other facilities were very clean and tidy

The way to the toilets was freezing cold and the stoves were not working so we couldn't have breakfast before we left.

One of the guys sleeping in the dorm was very careless about anybody else. The room was very smelly, he would talk loudly on the phone at whatever time, regardless is somebody was sleeping. It’s part of the experience but perhaps reminding people to be respectful of others it might be a good idea.

I really liked the comfortable bed, the kitchen facilities, the helpful manager, the friendliness of the other people staying there. I loved how close the supermarket was to the hostel and that there was parking on site. Also the bathroom and toilet facilities in the ladies was clean.

I didn't like the noise of some of the other persons staying on my floor (1st floor), but they did quiten down about 11.00pm. The stove top was very hard to light. Each time I had to have someone else light it for me. i just couldn't light it even when shown how to do it.
