Great location. Lovely breakfast lots of choices.
Shower over bath is not my favourite, but fine. However, a 25cm tap spout protruding into the tub, directly under the rain shower makes things awkward. Similarly the toilet roll holder being fixed to the wall next to the cistern is not easy to reach. Would be much better under the bench in an easy to reach spot. We were staying three nights and were given 3 teabags and 3 decafe coffee sachets.

I keep returning to Eden Oak Geelong—it feels like a home away from home whenever I travel to Geelong. I like the serenity of the place, its proximity to the cycling trails and events, its location adjacent to the Botanical Garden, the friendly atmosphere, and the staff's support in providing me with the preferred room. The hotel offers openly accessible, spacious parking under the building and protects the car from hail. I feel safe parking and accessing my vehicle here. I also like the hotel's shared space/ meals section overlooking the lush green gardens. People want to order and have meals here, and it is a welcome addition to the room space booked.
I dislike the waste created by the small shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel products. The scent of the care product line is a little odd, too- more like men's shaving cream than a unisex care product. I wish Eden Oak would adopt more sustainable practices by installing refillable care products instead.

The room was a good size and well fitted out. The bathroom had good products available, and the shower was hot with very good pressure. The staff member who booked us in was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate with a good range of foods if you like toasties and cereals. All self serve.
The entry to our block of rooms wasn't easy to negotiate as there was a small wall that we had to step over to get in. Parking was good but another guest parked behind us making it difficult for me to reverse out of my parking spot under the building. If I had reversed into my parking spot in the first instance I suspect my egress would have been easier.

In practise we liked everything, the room was really spacious and clean, bed comfortable, so nice. The pool was excellent. Most of all the lady who was in the evening at the reseption and at the same time taking care of the bar was marwellous. She was superfriendly and at the same time expert. She managed to make us perfect snacks despite.my allergies. Even in the morning the staff had noticed dietary foods nicely. Thank you! Hope these people can teach your other staff, because after a couple of days we stayed here also, but the experience especially conserning the dietary food, was not so good.
We loved everything.

I was a late arrival but was contacted by Bridie? from reception while on my way and she was able to send me instructions on after hours access and parking and was very helpful. The room was quiet, neat and tidy and had obviously been renovated as was quite modern and well equipped. I was up early and had a quick breakfast and was surprised by the range of choices for breakfast along with the friendly and helpful nature of the staff. I could see the surroundings in the daylight was very impressed with the general area, location, facilities, and cleanliness. I returned to the hotel a couple of hours after I had checked out and asked if I could use the lounge area to do some work - despite me having already checked out I was invited to use the area and offered access to the tea and coffee while there and found the reception and kitchen staff very helpful and friendly. I also asked about function and conference facilities and was shown one of the many available rooms. Over all - very impressed
I admit having a little trouble finding the place and then locating the parking near my room as it was dark when I arrived. The allocated parking area was actually full but other parking areas were available nearby under a different area of the accommodation wing. Very little not to like about this place.

The room is very clean. The bathroom has plenty of hot and cold water with strong pressure. The overall room design is quite good. Breakfast is diverse, offering a bread section, hot-pressed toast, yogurt with cereal, and coffee and juice. The coffee machine is available for use outside of breakfast hours as well. There are ping pong and billiards available in the common area. There's a bar (not operational yet 😂). Plenty of parking spaces. The staff informed me that the bar will reopen in a few months and the dining options will be upgraded. I'm really looking forward to experiencing the new services on my next visit.
To get to the rooms, you almost always need to climb stairs, which isn’t very convenient for travelers with large luggage. During breakfast time, when it gets crowded, there's a strong smell of cooking fumes. If there is a ventilation system, it’s recommended to turn it on. The coffee beans provided with the coffee machine have a acidity, which doesn’t seem to go well with milk. it’s recommended be better to use medium or dark roast beans instead. The shower and bathtub are combined, making the space quite limited. Additionally, the room doesn’t have a view.

My partner, our toddler and myself had a very comfortable stay at Eden Oak. The hotel was styled nicely and everything was great with easy parking just below our room. The room was on the small side but it was just fine for us and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and everything was clean and tidy.
There were only two things we didn’t love. One was that the walls are a bit thin, so we could hear our neighbours chatting and celebrating late at night and that actually woke and kept me up. Fortunately they kept it down after I spoke to them. The other was the breakfast. We loved that it was included with our room but it was really average. It was fine for one night, but for more than one night we would probably not bother… hopefully they improve the offerings and include some more offerings (cheeses, ham, salami, eggs, etc) and not just a wide selection on breads and sweet things.

The rooms were very nice, comfortable beds and a bonus bathtub which we were very grateful for. The location is right inside the Botanical Gardens which is very quiet and quite restful.
The room was very difficult to find in the dark. Our wing wasn’t labelled as described by the staff member, who told us we were in Waratah wing, but actually we were in Acacia. We were able to access the room through Waratah wing but only after about half an hour of walking around trying to find it. After a long work day and a big drive this wasn’t ideal. The lighting around the complex is terrible and the signage is not clear. The foyers in the accommodation area are run down like a uni lodge, and there is a kid on a dirt bike who drives around the gardens at high speed in the wee hours, not the fault of the premises but it woke us up a few times. Once we found the room it was fine. The restaurant isn’t open yet and it’s a bit of a drive to get food.

The range of food at the buffet breakfast was incredible, with the biggest selection of carbs I've ever seen at a hotel. I loved that the ceiling of our room was very high, as it made the room feel a lot more spacious yet still cozy. We also had a good time outside of our room; the pool tables up on the loft next to the reception offered unlimited play. Overall, I think this place is great value for money and would definitely recommend it.
I think the place can benefit from a gym and a new bartender; Sadly the cocktails weren't great, my mojito had chopped/muddled mint, which affected the taste and texture of the drink. I think giving the mint leaves a slap and keeping it then whole is enough to extract their flavour. The fact they didn't have a dessert menu also surprised me, as they offered restaurant-style meals.

The property is in a lovely spot, close to town. (20 min walk) Very scenic. The pool area is comfortable & the pool is clean. The selection of breakfast food was plentiful with something for everyone. The bathrooms has fantastic water pressure (which is hard to find). The bed was super comfy.
The rooms are super small, as are the bathrooms (you get what you pay for) Finding the room was a little confusing, with more signage need outside & inside the buildings, especially from the car parking. The pillows were flat like pancakes, an update would be great.
