The location was good. although there weren't many shops around for a place so close to the city. We felt very welcome. The bed was comfortable and the bathroon was good. The air-conditioner was quiet and worked well in warming the room. The lounge area has two comfortable sofas and two good chairs at the table.

The windows could be opened a very litlle, clearly for security reasons. A little more opening would have been nice. The windows rattled badly on a windy night but a piece of newspaper wedged in did the trick.

A lovely accommodation space with a nice view,clean,safe & all the facilities one needs at a home...close to the city and Epworth Hospital, made our stay hassle free,and even pleasant while mum was in Hospital. A lovely area to go for a nice morning walk too.We will stay here again and recommend to others, we were that happy with our stay here.

All good we did check out a day early as my mother was discharged early from Epworth Hospital and would have appreciated a refund on the last night.It is a business & understand but we have an Air bnb & value good clients especially good return customers that promote our business.

Great location - close to MCG, and walking distance to city via Fitzroy Gardens. Also close access to trams/ trains. Wonderful facilities were just what we needed for a week. Loved having kitchen utensils, pots and pans and cooking facilities ( so often lacking in other places we have stayed). Bed was very comfortable, staff were very friendly, and apartment was easily heated with efficient heatpump.We will definitely stay here again, when visiting our family in Melbourne, and would recommend to others.

The information book in our room said rooms were serviced Mon, Wed & Fri. However, they were actually only serviced the day before we left. ( We actually didn't need them serviced, and could ask for extra towels etc as needed). However, the info book needs to be updated with correct information . Also shower / basin could have done with hot water temp being a little hotter..

Very friendly staff. Maddy checked us in early and got our very heavy bags up to our room before we came back. Jaime printed walking directions at reception and was helpful with any of our requests. The Apartments are in prime location surrounded by homes and within walking distance of train tram or bus services. Spotlessly clean and very comfy bed with well equipped kitchenette. Daily cleaning service if required. Supermarket 5 mins away. Great pub The Prince Patrick with pub grub 5 mins away also. Would highly recommend The Birches to anyone

I didn't like the unit the TV stood on and the bathroom could do with a makeover (but then again so could my own at home) but it was fine with a fantastic strong shower. Nothing to complain about really

Fantastic property , clean and quite spacious. Full kitchen facilities. Only negative if there is one , tye bathroom was a bit small , a pokey show box. Within short walking distance to the tram stop that was easy access to the city centre and Carlton. 10 / 15 minute walk to the MCG and city via Fitzroy park (beautiful park) East Melbourne , very clean and quite area.

Location of the apartment is in very neat and clean area. Apartment has good facilities for a comfortable stay. You can Check-in even if you arrive there mid-night. Inside apartment sofa bed is very good and comfortable. Some good stores are nearby at a distance of 500 meters. Tram link (Hoddle Street) and metro link (North Richmond) are at just 3 and 5 minutes walk. Staff was very cooperative. We shall prefer to stay here again. Prof. V. P. Had a really great time at Birches! It was our first time staying there. We were looking for an affordable apartment that was dog-friendly and not too far from the city. Birches fit the bill just right. The apartments are really cosy; we stayed in the one with two single beds in one room, and a sofa bed in the lounge. There's a great leaflet/brochure/tourist coupon section by reception, which was so nice. We don't know Melbourne very well but we found out about Chadstone shopping centre through those brochures. Staff were so nice! We ran out of tissues one evening and there weren't any in the "after hours box" but a cleaner was leaving for the day and saw us and asked if we needed anything. It was after their working hours so we really didn't want to bother them but they said they'd go get us tissues anyway. Also like how the big bins are outside for everyone to use. We didn't have to wait for our rubbish to be picked up on service days. Parking lot is enclosed within the property, so you feel a bit better about your car being safe. The spots are VERY TIGHT, so if you're not the most confident driver, recommend you have someone spot you if you don't have a reversing camera on your car. Make sure once you book, you contact them through email/Bookings.com to let them know what time you'll arrive, if you need parking (they'll need your license plate), and if you'll have a dog.

There was a dog poop bag dispenser in the parking lot that was empty; would've been neat if there were poop bags in it; we brought our own so not the end of the world, but would've been nice. There's no grassy area for dogs to wee in the parking lot -- so you need to leave the property with your dog and cross the road to get to some grass for wees and poops. Again, not the end of the world. We would still stay here again, absolutely.

Our television didn’t work but was sorted by the time we returned that afternoon very good service

There wasn’t a twin room on the lower level so rather than sleep in one bed we opted for the first floor room. My friend has mobility problems and had trouble getting in and out of the shower over the bath ! Maybe there should be an option of twin beds on the lower floor !

I love that I can bring my 2 dogs with me we are never appart and they love Melbourne food as much as I do also the staff are really friendly and helpful would recommend for anyone travelling for business also has secure off street parking outside the apartments and an excellent location close to all freeways and lots of public transport to cbd

These apartments are in an excellent location within easy walking distance of Melbourne city centre. They provide secure parking in an area where space is limited. They are quite spacious for two and give you a space to relax. Comfortable bed and reasonable kitchen facilities. Aircon worked well.

The units where a bit tired. The bath definitely needed replacement as the enamel was coming off. They cannot be described as "luxury" but are clean and very good value in this location.
