The location was great, quick and easy to get into the city centre via tram or foot. Several good food places are located around the area. Great to have parking available also.

The room was very, uh, 'compact'. Almost all the floor space was taken up by the bed! Could have had a bit more space. I knew the room wasn't huge when I booked, but I have had rooms of a similar grade/price in the past that were just a bit roomier. All good though, still happy with our stay.

WONDERFUL staff. Polite, helpful and efficient. Nice room with small fridge. Washers and dryers available in clean setting on reception floor, along with a little lounge and lending library. Also a connected kitchen for the adjoining longer stay guests that appeared available to all. Great location. Coffee shops, restaurants and places to buy odds and ends just steps away. Close to the free CBD trams, although I walked just about everywhere. Take a tram just for the experience

Not much room to hang clothing

It’s well situated with the tram and lots of restaurants close by. Clean and comfortable room.

The room could have done with some information as is normal in other hotels (e.g. about laundry service, gym or what to do if you don’t need cleaning). While the room had a tea station with kettle, you had to find a socket to use it (I had to put the kettle on the floor to use it). And the showers can trigger the fire alarm of the hotel if bathroom doors aren’t closed properly (it actually happened during my stay).

For us it was a great central location to everything we wanted to do. Tram stops very close. Found the reception staff were always greeted us with a smile & very helpful with any of our questions. Even though we were in a front room we were impressed that we did not notice any outside traffic noise especially since the trams went past & stopped just down the road.

The heating/cooling system was a bit of a challenge to get right. We had to ask about how to get our room serviced as we had no compendium with that type of information

The location was great, friendly staff, room was clean. Trams right out the front. Taxi fare to Southern Cross station was about $15. About a 10 min walk to Queen Victoria markets. The shower was nice and big with a rain showerhead.

Only one pillow and only 1 towel each, but staff were happy to bring more. Not much storage room, only draw under bed. Room very small. The shower was very loud when running. Fire station outside room, so sirens went off throughout the night. I would still stay again if it was a short stay.

location, room is clean, all amenities provided, fresh towels every day, lift access, wifi, parking in basement, no noise from other rooms, large TV in the room, lights can be switched off from the bed, floorboards means that there's less dust.

Room is very small, aircon struggled, very noisy at night as its near a main intersection. The showerscreen style glass bathroom door means that bathroom privacy is limited. A solid door would be better. You have to use intercom for parking access. My spot was fine, but most spots are very cramped. Best to ask for Accessible Parking when booking.

What breakfast l didn't know there was one. It would have been good to have been able to have breakfast before leaving for work.

There was a problem with the air-conditioning.. It was set on the lowest setting it felt like the hottest day in summer. I drank 2 bottles of water that night, my throat was stuck together, l couldn't swallow.. l was dehydrated. I would stay awake for 2 hrs sleep for half hr. I was here for a work event. So l wasn't in the best shape for work. Except for that whole night every thing was exceptional. Breakfast would have been a good option.

My rating about the bed only being average is my subjective opinon and reflects that it wasn't the best for me only. I'm sure other people would find them more than suitable or to their liking so take that into account with the review. If you like the inner city vibe and bustle then this place is for you, good location well priced. There is undercover parking however the clearance is very, very low and the spots are tight which if you have a small/medium car and not a big 4WD then it won't be an issue for you.

I had not stayed at the Hotel before, but it was the closest accommodation to the Union Theatre (University of Melbourne) where I was going to see a performance. While the room was small, for one night it was more than adequate for my purposes. It was well appointed, the TV was a decent size, the bed was comfortable and all the fittings and finishings were modern. It even had a decent-sized vanity (unlike the Arrow down the road). Not big enough for a stay where you need to bring any quantity of luggage but if you are just travelling with a carry-on like I was, it was ideal. The young man on reception was helpful and patient with regard to my hearing impairment.

The room was small, but I 100% anticipated that it would be.

Staff were fantastic and easy to approach, gym facility was excellent and had a very good workout and session myself, bed was pretty comfortable and easy to sleep on, bathroom was perfect and very clean inside.

The TV is pretty outdated with the room I chose and I found it disappointing that I couldn’t use streaming services such as Netflix etc when I needed to spend sometime in my room which I found disappointing, TV remote wasn’t the best as there wasn’t too many buttons to press and seemed useless, there was a bit of some odd stain on my curtain which I thought was strange and didn’t think too much of what it was, the sheets I found to be really tight at time when I needed to pull them up to try and keep warm and was a bit thrown off when there wasn’t much of a sheet protection covering the mattress which seemed lazy and the buttons for the aircon and heater weren’t working which wasn’t ideal when I needed to try and adjust the temperature.
