This hostel is located really centrally on the outskirts of the CBD. You can walk to everything you need to see, with the furthest being 20-30 minutes. There is also the free circular tourist tram really close with a stop for that maybe 5 minutes walk from the hostel door. I was here for 5 days and found it really convenient. I stayed in the 8 bed dorm and there was lots of space and a nice big locker for all your baggage. The beds were comfy and the reception were great about giving me extra blankets when i was cold. The kitchen space is large and has lots of utensils so you can make whatever you want in more than enough space - no waiting for hobs or anything! There is also a lovely outdoor terrace looking out over the city and extra things like the movie room which was a first for me. I didn't use the wifi much or for work but it worked adequately every time I tried to connect. The vibe was super friendly from both staff and guests. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

The whole building was absolutely stunning, and the activities were a blast, providing endless fun. I had the pleasure of forming some great friendships during my stay, which was truly memorable. However, what stood out the most was the incredible staff. They were exceptionally friendly and always ready to assist with a smile. A special shoutout goes to Theo—he's truly the man! Theo consistently went above and beyond to help, always displaying an outstanding disposition. Not only was he friendly and approachable, but he also had a great sense of humor, always up for a good laugh yet maintaining his professionalism as a true gentleman. I am immensely grateful for all the help and support I received from Theo. He became more than just a receptionist; he became a friend. His dedication and kindness made my experience truly special.

Actually, it's not that I didn't like it, but sometimes having children on the rooftop during party time made me a bit uncomfortable because we were shouting, smoking, and so on. Aside from that, everything was perfect. The cleaning was done properly as promised, but some people did leave a big mess in the bathrooms.

I originally booked 1 week but ended up extending for 2 more weeks but I could have easily stayed another 2 months as the place and the whole experience were beyond amazing! The place is super conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne, close to the main things and shops but you still get very quiet nights of sleep as the way it is designed is noise proof. The hostel is structured on 8 floors and each floor has a different free facility such as gym, cinema room, lounge, kitchen. The gym is small but has plenty of options for a good workout and the cinema room is very spacious and nice to enjoy some chill nights watching a movie. The lounge room is also very nice and the kitchen is huuuuuge with plenty of storage space for your food. Lastly, the rooftop, one of the best perks of this hostel. It offers an amazing 360 view of Melbourne and has plenty of space for sunbathing, as well as a hot tub 💪 despite the great location, structure, facilities, as well as the overall cleanliness of the whole place what was really the highlight of it all were the social vibes and the friendly staff. I met so many people from all over the world and share many nice moments with them, eating together, chilling and going out. The hostel organizes also some social activities (pub crawl, market visit...) and offers plenty of discounts and recommendations for dining and trips around Australia. On Saturday they have a free bbq and on Sunday free delicious breakfast with pancakes, cereals, toast, fruit etc... which made more some nice extra perks that I made sure of taking advantage of :) I could go on forever about how nice this hostel was but what really made the experience nice and positive was the amazing staff. Special shout-out to Maren for being the friendliest tour guide, always greeting you with a smile; Lisa for being the top bbq griller; Kathy for coping with my numerous requests for printing; Theo for giving that extra fun and social vibe, as well as the rest of the staff!

Check in was fast and easy. The staff are friendly and helpful, and are eager to advise about things to see & do, and where to find bars, restaurants, etc. The hostel is exceptionally clean everywhere. The dorms, toilets, kitchen, lounge, gym (yes, they have a gym!), lifts, and halls are all well maintained. They are strict about noise at night, so you can sleep very peacefully. They have a range of cool features that differentiate them from the other hostels. These include: Rooftop area with a spa pool & exceptional view of the Melbourne skyline, especially at night Drinks preparation area on each floor for filling water bottles, making coffee / tea, so you can do those close to your room and do not need to go to the kitchen Wooden lockers right next to the beds which are big and quiet (no clanging metal doors) Full length mirror in the dorm Wheelchair lift for the stairs at Reception, and lifts to all levels. Security is fantastic with electronic locks and key card access for each room, main front door at night, and also the door from Reception into the guest area. The dorms are spacious, with large lockers, 2x power sockets, large shelf for devices, and a light at each bed. There is also a good aircon in the room which is a blessing in the summer. The dorms have a full length mirror and rubbish bin as well. The beds are steel framed bunks, but they are solidly constructed and barely creak. The beds are comfortable and the linen is clean and fresh. Showers have these huge rainstorm type heads, and the water pressure is great. Body wash is provided in wall-mounted dispensers, and each wash room has a shower, toilet, & basin. There are also other facilities that have toilet & basin only. Location is very good. It is on the edge if the CBD, and is a very short easy walk to the free tram stop.

The doors make a loud click when closing, which makes it difficult to leave early without waking up everyone else. The showers lack a place to put dry clothes, towel, and bathroom goodie bag (with toothpaste, shaving kit, hairbrush, etc.). That's a very easy one to fix.

1. There is an adjustable light on every beds including upper deck. It doesn't affect the lower deck and vice versa. 2. The staff helped me retain my mail which I appreciate it a lot. 3. There is a refrigerator on the kitchen floor. You can use it to store your food. You may also use the kitchen for cooking. 4. There are washing machines available located at the same floor as the kitchen floor.

1. Someone smoking in the room when other room mates were not around. 2. It would be good to group people who snore at night in the same room. 3. Upper deck bed was not so ideal because there is nothing to enclose it like the lower deck bed 4. The locker on the upper deck may be distanced too far. It is okay for the lower deck.

I stayed one night in a 4-bed female bunk. The location is in center. The hostel was affordable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. They have a storage room where I could leave my luggage since I arrived early in the morning and had a tour at 6:30 am. During check-out, I stored my luggage again as my flight was at night, allowing me to roam around and explore Melbourne. There were lots of outlets and sockets in the room, which was convenient for charging gadgets. Despite a busted reading light in my bunk, I would definitely stay here again when I return to Melbourne.

A great hotel suitable for visitors of all ages. I had booked a double room with a balcony. The room was really big, the balcony too. The view during the day and at night was great of the Melbourne skyline. On the balcony there was a table with 2 comfortable chairs and separately 2 sunbeds. The bed in the room was large and very comfortable. The bathroom had a shower and was very clean. The common areas were extremely well equipped. So if one decides to cook something, there is no need to wait for stoves or ovens. I can say that it has all the amenities, utensils and accessories that everyone has in their own kitchen. There is a roof with many seating options to either lie down with a book in hand or have a drink with friends. The staff are young people who were extremely kind and always smiling. It is possible to leave luggage for storage. Excursions can also be booked at reception. There is a vending machine for drinks and snacks in the lobby. I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Melbourne. In this hotel one can find solitude but also make many friendships with people from all over the world.

If you are a woman who is a bit skeptical of staying in a hostel, it is worth a try. I was anxious before picking a hostel for my stay but it was very smooth. I booked an all women room and it was quite comfortable. It was very clean. The washrooms gets regularly cleaned and I never faced any cleanliness issue. The room was also very clean when I checked in. Clean linens were provided, bed was comfortable. The view from room was something unexpected, it was beautiful. The staff were nice and good that the reception is open 24/07.

I had no bad experiences so all was good.

I liked the number of staff visibly in attendance and their respect and diligence within their role and towards guests. The free food concept is great as I hate waste. The additional outdoor seating is welcomed.

The gym was a little light on for weights and mats and it was difficult to find wall space for wall pilates. The guests I noticed didn't seem to take any notice of the sign about not dropping or clanging the equipment, until I physically took the one sign off the wall and showed it to them. Need more signs!! I liked the sanitation spray available
