Breakfast was lovely a lot of variety.good service by the restaurant staff.

The housekeeping was very poor. The day we checked in and went to our room it was not ready after being told by reception it was. Got transferred to another room after waiting for 2 hours. 2nd day beds made but tea coffee and writing pad not replaced. Carpets and coffee table not wiped down. 3 Rd day room not made up after leaving instructions for it to be made up. Again left without tea coffee note pad and soaps. Sad to say the hotel was amazing as were their reception staff but housekeeping has let this lovely hotel down . Would stay again if management does something about housekeeping.

Impeccable customer service from the entire Oakwood team. Apart from the great location and outstanding room, I wanted to express a big thank you to Eugenio in particular for helping me dealing with my very delayed luggage that only arrived after I left Melbourne, he made sure it was stored safely until I managed to get a courier company to send it back. Communication was smooth and everything was so easy to deal with. 100% would come back again and stay.

Modern, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel is perfect for a stay near the Melbourne CBD. Easy walk to Southbank and the southern end of the CBD. I was really impressed with my stay here, and all staff I spoke to were very helpful.

Only minor, but open air parking across the road could be better, would have preferred some undercover but I would imagine there is not much of that available close to the hotel.

The rooms were modern and clean. The breakfast buffet the next morning was also great.

If you are booking through booking.com, be warned that you’ll likely run into some issues. We had cancelled a couple of rooms a few weeks out from the booking date, but these cancellations hadn’t gone through and the hotel staff were unaware. They also had no detail of our stay being inclusive of breakfast which was outlined in our booking on booking.com. As a large group of 8, this was incredibly frustrating as rather than update our booking or note down, we had to keep having the same conversation with each different staff member at breakfast each morning. Hopefully they sort out the communication issue between the two systems soon!

Fantastic property. Big rooms. Clean. Games room, work areas, amenities on site. Was initially worried about the location being further from southbank but it was fine. Might not have been so nice to walk if it was raining!

No clothes airer in the room to hang washing - don’t always want to use a dryer!! And this isn’t very energy efficient. Internet didn’t work properly in the workspace. Which is its purpose. It seemed to be a dead spot. Ended up using the lounge and games room but you can’t turn the music down or off which is distracting. No swimming pool. Set to have rooms cleaned but they didn’t always come. Rooms in our booking at different facilities - larger bathrooms, no tea towel etc.

The breakfast was too die for. The views were amazing. The room had everything we needed.

We tried at enter at 1am on arrival as late plane. The staff waving their hands at the door for us to use our key when we hadn't checked in yet. Surely they could have read my emails to say we would be arriving late. But on mobile phones as well. The TV in the bedroom isn't clearly seen from both sides of the bed. The staff offered no help to myself or husband even with me on crutches. It would have been nice to be helped up to our room with the big luggage trolley, instead of being told our room number and that was it. Even at breakfast, no help or offers. First morning I was on my own for breakfast on crutches.

The property is in a great location - close enough to the city that you can hop on the tram & head into town quickly or you can head in the opposite direction out to St Kilda or to Port Melbourne to lots of restaurants & DFO/ Docklands is just a few steps away. The rooms are extremely comfortable and quiet and have all that you need for an overnight stay or an extended visit to Melbourne.

Parking is about the only issue - there is parking at the rear of the property but street parking is minimal so if you want to come and go from the property - you may need to be prepared to walk a bit of distance.

Upon entering the foyer i knew it would up to standard. Fast efficient checkin, lounge to wait if busy, 6 lifts to go one of the many floors. The room was safe, secure, no noise from neighbouring tooms, exceptionally clean with high quality toilrtries in bathroom. Lots of storage space for luggage, clothing, and shopping (being right next door to South Wharf DFO). Close to South Melbourne Markets for Saturday morning brunch and/or shopping.

Although central you need to walk/taxi to central and the main attractions. As it was an unseasonably warm weekend there was no option. In summary it's not that i didn't like it, it was just inconvenient for me and my fellow travellers.

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Oakwood Premier Melbourne. The receptionist upgraded us to a higher level room, which we were very pleased with. Our room was extremely clean and had an amazing view of the CBD. The buffet breakfast had so many options and we thoroughly enjoyed our food! We loved the games room as well. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

My partner ordered the butter chicken for dinner. The menu did not say that it was spicy and he struggled to eat it due to the heat. The lady who brought the food to our room forgot to bring the yoghurt sauce and mango chutney, and did not return until 20 minutes later, which by then he had finished eating. Also, it would be great if you could put some robes in the room.

Location was fabulous. A very short walk to DFO & South Wharf with access to numerous restaurants. Crown Casino was also only a short walk and everything in the City was easily accessible on foot. Views from the room were absolutely stunning - we didn't want to close the curtains! Buffet breakfast was reasonably priced with a great selection of food available plus other food made to order (ie: omelettes or eggs) Pancakes ordered via room service were amazing! Staff were polite & courteous and always ready to assist with issues resolved in a timely manner.

Having to leave a message when trying to contact Reception desk from our room. Several attempts were made to contact Reception from our room when we had issues with the room keys and accessing the dining menus for room service but no-one would answer the phone. We then needed to go back down to Reception in person to have the issues addressed. It was noted on a number of occasions that phones would be ringing when in the Reception area however even staff who were not attending the patrons would not answer. Tray charge of $6 for room service seemed unnecessary given the amount paid for accommodation.
