The location was excellent, with a tram stop right out front, DFO just across the water, and the Crowne Casino within a stone’s throw. Plenty of dining options along the river and nearby food courts made it very convenient. The staff were attentive, friendly, and provided seamless service throughout my stay. The breakfast offerings were fantastic, and the schnitzel from room service was honestly the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable experience! Good for couples.

We stayed at the Crowne in September 2024 and became aware of the construction of a multi-story building next to the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool. There was some slight noise from Monday to Saturday, starting at 7 AM, but the room’s soundproofing was very effective, though not completely noise-free. Thankfully, this disruption is temporary, as it’s only due to the ongoing construction. There was something biting us in the bed that left small red dots and the staff promptly changed all the bed linen.

I love staying at this hotel. Its in the perfect location just down the road from the casino. Has lovely views from the higher floors. Its clean and has the most comfy beds and pillows. The breakfast is awesome with lots to choose from and a chef that prepares your eggs on the spot. Such a luxury! I also like the bar where you can have a cocktail, snack and play a game of pool before going out. The gym facilities are perfect. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay.

The swimming pool is outside and faces towards all the rooms. There is no privacy out there and no cover and not enough seating for everyone in the sun. Its quite cold out there atm being end of October. If only it was undercover. This is a minor thing though.

The service was excellent, from concierge, dining to housekeeping - all staff provided timely and professional services. The room amenities were comfortable and the location perfect for attending the convention centre. In particular, the staff at the Concierge desk and valet parking were very prompt. Michael who manages the restaurant on the dinner shift made our evening far superior - he was friendly, professional, chatted to our family, and made us feel happy, well fed and energised at the end of a long day. Mel, one of the staff on the breakfast shift, was also a stand out. She was incredibly polite, helpful and efficient in her role.

Finding the entrance to the hotel if driving is very confusing amongst ongoing construction work. Better instructions and a map would help. Didn't like the bedding configuration of 2 double beds. One queen and a double/single would be ideal.

The counter staff were wonderful and very kindly let me check in quite early. The room was lovely with a beautiful view of the river. The bedding was especially comfortable and the room was well cleaned.

A misleading sign pointing to ‘Crowne Plaza Acess’ sent me through a dirty and noisy building site. When I mentioned this to the concierge, it was quite clear they couldn’t give a damn. Two other times I asked a concierge for help or directions, their attitude was unimpressive. It seemed they were more interested in looking important than helping the paying guests.

location was perfect, and valet parking was incredibly helpful and efficient. Beds very comfortable, rooms clean and modern with small kitchenette. Breakfast was fantastic

light switched turned every light on at once in the sleeping area - not great if you want a sleep in and the other half gets up to make a coffee early. a dimmer or separate lights would be very helpful. Check out time was crazy! lifts took forever, i gave up waiting and took the stairs for the 3 levels, this died down by around 11.45 and was back to normal

Bed very comfy … good view of pool and distant city .. probably would have preferred view of river but, I really have no complaints as I was on top floor

I had my daughter, son in Law and grandchildren also staying in another room and although they too enjoyed stay .. the grandchildren were disappointed that the electronic games were taken away the day after they arrived but were told it was only for school holidays (they were on school holidays from nsw and did not understand ). maybe the time should be extended to all school holidays (at least in Australia) not just school holidays in Victoria.

Everything! Staff throughout the entire hotel were friendly, helpful and attentive. Check in was quick, smooth and everything explained and concierge was super helpful. The rooms were a good size and the view of the river was beautiful - especially at night time when everything was lit up. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of space to have 4 adults in the room. The bathroom was spacious with a walk in shower, amenities were plentiful and overall everything was very clean and tidy. Rooms were made up daily and tea, coffee, milk restocked. Breakfast was a nice way to start the day with a good choice of hot food, pastries, breads, meats and cheeses, pancakes and waffles, fruit, yoghurt, tea, coffee and juices. Tram right out the front door was excellent, however you are in walking distance to everything if you like to get out walking. DFO, Crown and eateries are a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Access to and from the location at any time of day or night felt safe.

our view from our room was amazing thankyou and also the little cake and card left for my husband was very much appreciated.and we were also able to check in early which was a bonus .

when we got there and checked in as we were to go to our room 239 l didnt look correctly at my room number and had gone to room 233 and my key had opened this room which l dont think was a good thing luckyly no one was in the room and we quickly just shut the door and went to open our door at 239 which my key also opened just wanted to let you know as we forgot to let you know when we checked out yesterday.

It was a good location that access to transit and the Crown property was near by. Also it was near the water and the convention centre. Durga and the manager Keenan were particular helpful. We had some personal requests that both Durga and Keenan were able to help accommodate. It is truly appreciated and they should be commended for going out of their way to help us. It makes a huge difference in wanting to return and stay at the Melbourne Crown Plaza.

Awkward to come in and out

I had a river view room. The bed was king size and comfortable. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet offered a variety of options and very tasty. There was made to order egg or omelettes available. The hotel is in close proximity/walking distance to the waterfront, shopping, dining and attractions such as the Flinders Station and Melbourne Sky Deck. The metro stop was nearby and easy access. From the international airport easy to buy a bus ticket and walk several blocks to the hotel or take a taxi from the airport.
