Novotel was perfect for our needs. Located next door to the Exhibition Centre where we were attending a convention, the accessibility to Convention Centre and neighbouring cafes and restaurants was so convenient. Shopping at DFO was great as down time in our spare time too. Staff had fantastic service, from front desk, restaurant to housekeeping annd service staff, everyone was friendly, fast to action and very accommodating.

Not a major but the cafe at the hotel wasn’t open the whole time we were there. You could go to restaurant but it was on a different floor. We just wanted a coffee so if the cafe was open it would have been embraced for sure.

Staff were wonderful about organising an accessible room for us. The room was easy to manoeuvre in my small, foldable wheelchair. Bathroom facilities were excellent. Staff were polite and welcoming.

The room service menu was lacking. There were very few vegetarian/vegan/gf options on the in-room menu. When attempting to order, there were even fewer options to choose from, to the point that on the last night of our stay, there were 3 or 4 options to choose from on their entire menu. I understand that it was a long weekend, but a little more planning could have avoided that issue.

The view of the city, the river, and the ocean was amazing very very happy with how high we were on the 22 level. The bed was every comfortable and very soft but wish it was one bed not 2 king singles put together (I don’t know if that’s normal but was hoping for one big bed other then that it was super comfortable.

I’m not one to complain about stuff but when I’ve stayed at other hotels the reception staff would greet us as we coming and go but for our stay at the Novotel Melbourne south wharf I’m pretty sure we were greeted once out of a couple dozen times for the 4 days we staying.

We attended the Planetshakers conference at the MEC which was right next door. It was walking distance (<100m) to the event. My wife and I appreciated the friendliness and professionalism of the Novotel staff. The room was convenient and comfortable to have a good rest especially between sessions during the conference. The DFO and restaurants offered good opportunity to have the retail therapy (for my wife) and to dine to delicious foods.

It took us awhile to work out the AC in the room. We just called reception who were offered good advice at the time. It does take time for the AC to adjust.

The location was fantastic with a city view. The room and bed were amazing. The staff on the day made our check in swift, smooth & hassle free. The blanket was a bit short for me being 6 foot. It was an amazing & comfortable stay. Parking could have been discounted further (tongue in cheek), but the location was right next everything, DFO, amazing restaurants, crown plaza and the evening walks and the river ferries. Total stay was zing. zing, amazing!!!

In house restaurant was good and they had good menu. We had breakfast all the days and dinner there once. Breakfast was amazing and dinner had limited options for a vegan and a few more options overall could have been better.

Very clean Hotel with very friendly staff. Bed was very comfortable and airconditioning was the best of all the places I have stayed. Breakfast was good

Having the evacuation siren go off one night, No staff around to give direction/instructions, and the alarm and evacuation signal did not stop till we all reached reception, which was not on the ground floor we had no way of knowing how to get to outside the building via the stairs. We were told when we reached reception that "we don't know what the problem is, just go back to your rooms." I did not feel safe at all as a result.

My friend and I booked flights to Melbourne to see Coldplay which we were quite disappointed with as flights were extremely expensive and so decided to opt for the cheaper option with a hotel. We were not expecting much as it was quite cheap, which we were also disappointed with as we wanted an enjoyable experience. We were extremely surprised to find that the standard room we walked in to was in very good condition and quite fancy, with a beautiful view overlooking the highway and river. We were greeted with the most warm and welcoming concierge and our entire experience with this hotel was outstanding. Notably, the beds were extremely comfy and the bathroom style was divine.

I would have liked to stay longer, in our little piece of heaven of a hotel room :)

I recently stayed at the Novotel South Wharf while attending a conference at the Convention Centre, and the location couldn't have been more convenient—just a short 5-minute walk away. The room was immaculate, spacious, and spotlessly clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment after long days. The staff were exceptionally attentive and welcoming, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. I’ll definitely choose Novotel again the next time I'm in Melbourne’s CBD.

Great location right next to DFO and walking distance to Casino. Fantastic staff, Spacious and modern rooms were clean, beds very comfy and good views of the city, great size bathrooms. We usually stay at either the Promenade or Metropol, but now for the price, the Novotel is our favorite. We have been back, and we will continue to return here. Bonus is, they have an awesome menu that is very good and of great value. Can't fault them.

Only fault is, there were no USB port in the wall for charging. No Biggy.

We had a fantastic stay. The woman who checked us in was absolutely delightful. Started our stay off on a terrific note. The room was beautiful and clean. We had room service, the meals was very tasty and arrived quickly, great serving sizes. The toiletries were great-wonderful smell. The presentation of the hotel and the staff were lovely. There was a good selection of lovely breakfast foods at the buffet.

There really wasn’t much we did like, probably just down to personal taste. I found the beds were too soft for me personally. Our room service order was missing a set of cutlery which wasn’t a big enough problem to call down for but I meant I had to wait for my husband to finish eating then wash and use his. This maybe picky but the atmosphere of breakfast was a little grumpy. The only reason I noticed this is because most of the staff were so friendly and kind and went out of their way to be warm and attentive. Absolutely minor things, we would still recommend staying here!
