The ground floor room ( No 18 ) was exceptionally clean and well equipped. the bed was one of the best hotel beds that I have EVER slept in and I am 75 years old, and this is the 12th country I have lived in so I have slept in a few!!! Seriously, most hotel beds are "well used" cheap foam mattresses. This was NOT THE CASE at this hotel. Highly recommend it to other visitors/guest. It is certainly a hotel that I will be re-visiting when I next travel to Melbourne. We asked for an extra pillow, and this was provided immediately.

Nothing. For the price it was perfect. the only issue I had on one of the two days we stayed, was that another guest used our car space.... This is obviously not the fault of the hotel or management.

We asked upon arrival to change our upstairs room to downstairs and manager/owner was extremely accommodating and friendly. Room had been recently renovated and was spacious, clean with very comfortable beds. Good location. Walking distance for dinner to the International Hotel.

Doesn't matter for customers, but from the motel owners point of view, it could do with a mow and new sign out the front, so that appearance outside matches the great rooms. Gardens a a bit shabby too, but didn't worry us. For a family room, more towel rails in the bathroom would be a bonus instead of just one.

It's an upgraded room which looks really good and spacious. It had everything we needed for a short stay. Towels were replaced, check-in was very easy, and the receptionist was always incredibly friendly and helpful each time. For 3 stars it really was good value! Reading some older reviews I was a bit concerned, but the most recent ones were very positive, and that was our experience on the whole.

I had to ask for more hot drink supplies each day, so maybe that wasn't complimentary. One day the bed needed to be made a little more carefully. Below us there seemed to be a permanent resident who had a hacking cough, but otherwise he was no problem at all, and it was a very quiet location.

Easy quick check in and check out. Room was better than expected for motel, very clean, spacious room, good quality bathroom and full length mirror in room was good to stay here before getting ready for a wedding in Yarra Valley. Extra blanket and pillows for comfort. Staff at reception very helpful with providing iron, cutlery and anything we needed. Not a far drive from shops. Quiet sleep. Really good value for what we paid.

Bed was a bit small for my partner and I (assuming it was a double bed) but was comfortable.

This is a simple but comfortable accommodation close to Yarra Valley. Suitable for a short stay. Good size room, efficient heater/air con, and most importantly, very comfortable bed.

The shower is very difficult to adjust: a slightest move changes water temperature a lot. No heating in the bathroom.

The location is quite out of the way for central melbourne however, as someone meeting friends that live in lilydale, it was perfect. very solid, public transport wasnt far from it either. when i go to see my friends again, ill look at this location.

i dont think there was any particular issue with the econo lodge, it was comfortable, affordable and a livable location. very solid as all heck. keep up the great work you guys with your location. woo.

This motel is our preferred stay when visiting that side of Melbourne. It looks a little tired on the outside, but the rooms have been updated and are quite comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and the rain head showers are excellent. Tea/coffee provisions are good. We were not expecting service for the three day stay, but returned at the end of day 2 to fresh towels. It was not worth taking our caravan when comparing the price of this motel for the short stay.

Lighting for the exterior stairs is pretty poor. Could be a hazard for the unwary. Something that could result in an issue, but there is a ramp if you prefer.
