We very much enjoyed our two-night stay at this attractive, historic and comfortable hotel in the beautiful and interesting city of Graz. The location is excellent, a short tram ride from the main train station and with the scenic part of the city in easy walking distance. We had a spacious room with a view of the river. The hotel personnel were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was truly outstanding

Our room had a shower only; we would have preferred a bathtub as well. Also, we would have welcomed more working sockets for our chargers and other electrical gear. Otherwise, we had no problems or complaints at all.

Location. Our room was quiet (it didn't face the street). Decent air conditioning in the room.

The hotel car park is charged at a 50% higher rate to those who book through Booking.com than to guests who book directly with the hotel. And it is rather expensive parking. No doubt this is aimed at encouraging direct bookings. This higher charge for Booking.com users was not made clear on the Booking.com site. Discovering this when checking out was an unpleasant surprise and while not a big deal in the greater scheme of things, it was an irritation. More customer focused communication about this by the hotel would have helped. The hotel breakfast seemed expensive compared to the excellent breakfast cafes beside and behind the hotel. The wifi in our room was only just functional.

Location is perfect. You can reach by car and walk than to the historic parts in 2 mins. The lobby and restaurant design is impressive, and really the focal part of this hotel together with the super breakfast served there. It is really an experience itself. However the rooms have a bit different design -a kind of low key concept - it is ok for its kind if someone is open for it. The view from the room was stunning to the castle, the reception tried their best to find us the room.

It is rather an opinion, but maybe the rooms need just at least a little bit update of the design concept to get closer to the one in the lobby and restaurant.

They are taking sustainability seriously and visibly demonstrating that through their decor and operating a ask if you need anything else other than what you can see and they do deliver so don't be shy ask I did. They were so happy as I asked for the Sauna to be prepared and a kettle as we enjoy our hot drinks. Just ask, they are always ready to help. For us, it was very satisfying to support an establishment with our environment on their mind. Top marks to their management and all their staff as their work together in making a difference as it is quite challenging in the hospitality industry as not all their customers able to appreciate their efforts in helping to save the environment.

We were sad that we could not eat in on a Sunday evening as but pleased for the staff in the restaurant as they are closed. This is the only evening they are shut and are usually open till late all other evenings.

Location was really great, by the river, excellent tram connections and right next to old town. Breakfast was exceptionally good, with a lot of variaty and high quality. Plus points for very well made hot chocolate! Staff was kind and the hotel bar and drinks nice as well.

Property is a bit worn down by age, and the room was quite compact, with hands washed outside the toilet and shower opening into the room. Standard furniture did not include a proper desk, but it would've been possible to arrange.

I loved everything about this hotel: the decor, the food at the restaurant, the location. Would go back and I will recommend it to all my friends

I wrote about parking and received a confirmation, bit when I arrived, the lady at the reception said there is no room as ir was all booked, and sent us to the city parking saying it is the same price. It was 31 euros, so not the same price. Maybe at least try to find a solution or apologise when you promise something you don’t have.

Excellent room, comfy beds and very nice location. Honestly it exceeded my expectations. The breakfast buffet was amazing too. The room is chic and beautiful, plus they are pet-friendly which I really appreciate.

Honestly, nothing was bad. Maybe just a small flaw was that the bathroom glass door hinge made a weird noise and it sounded like it would break at any moment, other than that everything was lovely!!!!

Location is perfect, everything is close, easy to reach on foot. Nice room, cool design. Comfortable bed and pillows. Staff is kind and helpful. Parking garage is close and convenient (though it is for extra fee - not low).

The room was not sound proof. You can hear people talking, walking on the corridor. Also in the above rooms. I could have preferred curtains on the windows, instead of the blinds. They let the lights in a bit. Breakfast is varied and delicious but way too expensive to my opinion.

Most of the staff were excellent, particularly the bar staff. Excellent breakfast.

Wi-Fi in room useless unless I sat in the toilet! I didn't enjoy getting stuck in the elevator. Was surprised that threstaurant and bar closed on Sundays - it did not seem to mention that anywhere.

The hotel location is excellent, next to the Kunsthaus, on the river bank opposite the Franziskanerkirche. The tram stop is just around the corner, which is quite convenient to get to the train station. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, but there were no curtains in the window. Instead, they have a shutter on each window pane, which lets a lot of light into the room, which in Summer, with the sun rising before 6 am, is very bothersome. The supposedly trendy renovation is not functional in some cases. Another problem is the noise provoked by running water when someone in another room flushes the toilet or takes a bath. The breakfast is very varied, with options for all tastes. The service is well organized, and the staff is very attentive.

The main flaws were the noise from the running water and the sun inundating the room at 6 am.
