From where to start!This hotel and the stuff made our first trip to Austria absolutely amazing!Everyone was more than polite and extremely helpful towards us from the very first moment!First of all the hotel is in THE PERFECT LOCATION.Just a few minutes near the centre by feet and even if u don't want to walk you can take the bus which passes every five to ten minutes right across the hotel.It is also 10' far from the airport which is very helpful !The room was very comfortable and the cleaning stuff took care of it every morning.We had the Bed and Breakfast package for the week and I just need to say that it was the best option.Big breakfast for all the needs and flavors.Fresh bread,Salzburger delights and a lot of other options.We stayed full for the whole day with this breakfast and not to mention the amazing lady who took care of the buffet Mrs.Samira.We are definitely coming back to see her and we are sending her lots of love.The manager of the hotel Mr.Bernhard was so welcoming, he gave us the map of the city and gave us directions to every single thing that we could do in Salzburg and also some gifts to take back Home at the end of our holidays.Mrs.Marija also was so sweet and helpful with the questions we had.I can really write so many things about how good our experience in Hotel Astoria was.We really look forward to see you again next year. We were disappointed initially to find that the previous owners had retired as we have stayed at Astoria for many years. However the staff were excellent in particular Eduardo on reception was very helpful, informative and welcoming a credit to the Astoria. The breakfast staff were Aldi excellent very cheerful, welcome and accommodating. Breakfast was just as good if not better than before. We enjoyed our stay snc round certainly stay again.

We felt that the cleanliness of the room was not as good as we had experienced previously. Little things were overlooked such as replacing toilet rolls and hand wash. We appreciate that it is a very popular hotel with a lot of rooms to service but this was our experience on this occasion.

The breakfast was perfect. Great selection of warm options as well as breads and cakes. The coffee/ cocoa machine was very good! Fresh juices were available as well. The beds were comfortable and clean. The whole room was overall clean and equipped with everything you need. The shower was equipped with plenty of hot water. Large smart TVs were a nice add. The free WiFi worked great. The staff are very friendly and understanding. My dog was welcomed with treats! My family enjoyed the location and walking the dog was no problem with a small park a block away. Nice selection of restaurants and shops in the area as well. Reserved parking was very convenient and secure (at an extra cost, but not necessary since the area has available parking). I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Salzburg.

The painted walls in the room could be repainted or updated somehow (Wall paper or tile that wipes clean behind the toilets). USB sockets to charge phones and tablets might be a nice modern finish as well.

Hotel is nice situated, you don`t need to travel with bus to the historical centre. Room was clean. Hotel has own parking and it`s very important for Salzburg. Breakfast was be nice with good coffee

We arrived a little bit earlier, room of course wasn`t be prepared but personal allowed that we park our auto and go for a lunch to nearby situated restaurant. After lunch we came back to hotel but room still wasn`t be cleaned (it was be after check-in time). We need to wait when our room will be cleaned. Young man on reception offer free drinks from bar for free as compensation

It has a very good location. Old city can be reached on foot, Hauptbahnhof (train station) can be reached with bus easily. Bus stop is not far. Room window looked on trees, some green surface, there are nice buildings around. Its quite calm at night. Reception staff is lovely. We haven't tried breakfast. Heating was efficient. Small room, with simple but friendly design, clean enough.

Bed matress was a little soft for me. Since the room is small, one needs to open the window for some time to have fresh air otherwise it gets a bit not so comfortable. Its actually not a problem, just mentioning. Window, heating is good.

Perfect for us travelling to beautiful Salzburg, good standard hotel, loved the beds,bit too warm tried turning down radiators,but that's our choice..breakfast had great choice of fried or continental. Staff were helpful Perfect for city centre access, just across the road for bus, Number 1 or 10 straight in 10 mins or 20 min walk.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. There was everything we needed and staff provided anything we asked for, such as a kettle and milk. The breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. The location was perfect - opposite the bus stop with regular buses going into town just a 5-10 min bus journey. The room was nice. We liked that the 2 single beds weren't too close together.

One or two hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes would have been useful.

This hotel was great for a two night stay. I was fortunate to get an upgrade to a 'Superior' room which was very spacious and the facilities were great for the price paid. The staff were friendly and pleasant and I encountered no issues. A very convenient location too. The bus stops opposite the hotel and you can easily get to the airport or the centre of Salzburg in minutes.

Whilst the facilities were absolutely fine and the beds and everything comfortable/clean, I would just suggest a deep clean when possible. Some corners of the walls had cobwebs, but overall it certainly wasn't unclean by any standard.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Came with a dog, which they made feel very welcome! About a 15/20 minute walk from the old town, but the area is very pretty and charming. Breakfast solid. Got the studio which includes 2 separate rooms in one single apartment - quite spacious and by far the best value for money I could find in Salzburg for groups of 2+ people that want to avoid the cost of booking 2 rooms but require a bit a privacy from one another.

We specifically booked this hotel to visit the Stiegl Brewery. So the location was perfect. It was also easy to walk to a nearby restaurant for dinner. The Staff were especially helpful with the parking and ideas for dinner. Note that we were not visiting old town Salzburg but the walk was about 20 minutes which we ended up doing since we waited for the 2:00 English Tour at the Brewery. It was well worth the wait and we ate at the Italian restaurant, Osteria-Cavalli and found it very good.

I typically judge hotels by their bathrooms. This one was adequate. The shower head in our room wouldn't stay in location but still met the standard...it did have an attached hair dryer - not as powerful and you have to stand near the location that it is attached. The breakfast was a bit costly but it was well worth it! It was an excellent selection of choices.
