The location of the hotel was perfect, close to the old town. Breakfast is really good in this property, so is the coffee and there is a breathtaking outdoor seating overlooking the river. Perfect for sunny days. The building is old and quaint, which is comforting. The concierge services here exceeded other properties. We wanted to visit the “Cinderella” castle but tickets were not available online. He go us the tickets and arranged for a suitable transportation. The staff take extra steps to take care of patrons of the hotel.

I felt the decor of the room was quite dated and in need of modernization.

Great location and nice ambiente. i am visiting the hotel whenever i am in Salzburg. has a lot of the flair of a hotel that has been part of this city for decades althoug totally renovated. the staff was amazing in helping us in every need. the view to the river is amazing

electrics are a problem.. not working as they should. tried for ever to switch off all lights without using the master off switch because when i did use it i could not charge my phone. push of a button to the resutl takes about 8 sec. so you never know. needs something better

The property is in the middle of the heart in Salzburg, very nice old school hotel , rooms are very cosy and service excellent, there is Sacher caffè very chic place , and Sacher Grill with most delicious wineries schnitzel! And the hotel inside is completely fabulous 🌹

I would like to tell that for 5 stars hotel will be nice if the give like small gift for remembering , like chocolate Sacher or something ! And definitely need to ask if we want to have water for traveling , specially if you are with car , and definitely no charge for car parking , This is no gone for 5 stars hotels !

Location is wonderful! Just few walking steps to all tourist places; Mirabell garden, restaurants, shopping area. Salzburg HBF main train station is very near (5 minutes by car, 18 minutes walking distance). Staff were very friendly and arranged everything for us; transportation, tickets, etc. I highly recommend staying at this hotel; not just in Salzburg, but wherever it is available in any city specially in Vienna!

Everything exceeded my expectation!

The location, facilities, and staff were all amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying here. We had a 4th floor suite with a balcony that was incredible.

The only complaint I had was that the bedding duvet covers were 2 twins as opposed to 1 single king size sheet/cover. That was a bit odd and I found it kept coming off while I was sleeping.

Our stay at Sacher was wonderful. Stylish room in a beautiful building located on the river and on the doorstep of the old town. From the doorstep of the hotel , you can walk or cycle down the river (Southerly direction best) as the hotel has bicycles. Or of course you can walk to all the attractions of the beautiful old town. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect.

The hotel was beautiful and in a great location. We got a free upgrade to an amazing room and they could not do enough for us... the best place in Salzburg by far please stay here .. The staff are amazing too so helpful and kind ....Florentina was exxceptional what a lovely lady ... we will be back ... THANKYOU FOR THE MOST MAGICAL STAY!

Great location , historic building with modern amenities. Very clean . Nice spa area with lots of privacy. Excellent public spaces and nice rooms.

More training required of some staff members and probably more staff required. Phone calls for hotel services were often not answered. Even when answered follow up did not always happen. The in room continental breakfast has very little variety . With out add ons , it’s basically a small pot of tea , a few pieces of bread/ plain croissant and an orange juice.

The hotel was well located on the banks of the Salazar River opposite the old town. The food in the hotel restaurants was sensational. They have an open air cafe/restaurant overlooking the river under shady trees. The rooms are quaint but with every modern facility. The staff could not do enough for you. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

One of the best hotel experiences ever-and I travel a lot for work and pleasure. The staff was one of the most thoughtful, nice, helpful and considerate I've ever met. Always giving small gifts, always going the extra mile to be sure your stay was wonderful. Really super team of lovely people.
