The convenient above-ground free parking, variety of nutritious breakfast buffet items, soft and comfortable bedding, service from staff, quiet location within walking distance of bustling downtown, and thoughtful little touches in the room made this a really great stay. The value for the stay was incredible.

The only strange thing that happened was a malfunction on my room's lock. I double-locked it before going to bed at night, but the next morning the deadbolt was undone--which only the cleaning staff can do, from what I understand. Strange, but nothing was missing from the room so it must have been a malfunction.

Lovely B&B with the most accommodating hosts! We were only traveling a short distance the day of our arrival, and they let us know we could park onsite while exploring the city before our check-in. However, upon our arrival, my husband was suffering from a horrible headache. The hosts went above and beyond to get our room finished so he could rest. They did all they could to be sure he was comfortable. Also helpful with local recommendations. Bed was extremely comfortable (I believe it was new that day)! Breakfast was a nice mixture of meat/cheeses, yogurts, fruit, breads/pastries, juices and fresh made eggs (however you would like them). Also had beautiful outdoor garden space to relax in. Wonderful stay overall!

Just wish we had stayed more than one night!

We arrived around 8pm after a long day travelling but easily used the key box and were so pleased to find a small bunch of grapes in our room! The B&B is above the usual standard expected - it’s modern, spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The owners were very friendly and helpful with maps and ideas for exploring Salzburg. We are travelling for a month and this B&B has supplied the best breakfast so far! We are travelling around by train and although we could have walked to the station, with heavy backpacks we made the choice to get a taxi (€12-15) but it was an easy walk into Salzburg itself.

Could not have asked for more. This place and these guys are awesome! The room was nice and clean. The bed was super comfortable. The whole room, shower and bathroom were clean, tidy and well maintained. Parking was also really good. Off street, plenty of room, safe. The owners were fantastic to deal with. Really friendly and helpful with directions around the city, local knowledge and just great to chat with in general. The included breakfast was awesome with lots of good options and a lot of it local and or fresh. Location wise, it's a 30-40 minute dordle to Salzburg central through the older parts of town including the historic walking tunnel and palace. There's also some really good eating options for dinner very local to the B&B including an EXCELLENT brewery with great German/Austrian food. Also a Spar about 5-10 minutes walk away. Buses about 2 minutes away, if that. I honestly cannot thank them enough. We'll definitely revisit Salzburg another time and we'll definitely be staying at Villa Verde. Danke!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay here-it was perfect! The communication beforehand was exceptional. We received quick and friendly replies for each inquiry before our visit. The location was fantastic. It was easy walking distance to the old town, close to restaurants and shopping, but just far enough away to escape the crowds. We chose the apartment with balcony for our stay and it was incredible-it exceeded our expectations in every way. The decor was beautiful, the kitchen very well equipped and it was very, very clean. The bed was super comfortable. Hand soap, shower gel and lotion were provided (we loved the smell and bought some to take home), as was a coffee machine with pods. There was plenty of storage for all of our things and more than enough room for 2 people. The apartment was tidied each day, which we were not expecting! When we returned each day, the whole apartment had a very subtle, pleasant smell to it-not strong or like a disinfectant, but as if someone had just washed their hands with a very nice soap. Breakfast was wonderful. The homemade bircher was my favourite and my husband is still talking about the eggs over bacon dish he had every morning. There was a huge selection of breads, pastries, meat, fish, veggies, fruit, yogurt and toppings. Egg dishes and coffees were made to order. It was hands down the best hotel breakfast we have ever had. As perfect as our room and breakfasts were, our hosts were even more amazing. They work very hard to ensure their guest have the best experience possible and it really shows. They are friendly, kind and welcoming and are the heart of this wonderful inn. It was truly the best service we have ever had. We will happily recommend Villa Verde to our family and friends and will definitely be back ourselves!

Nothing-it was perfect!!

This place is amazing. If you have stumbled across it, and it is available on your dates , stop looking and book! Yes it’s that good. I have stayed in many places and this is the first 10/10 review. Everything from check in, the rooms, breakfast are fabulous. Alex and Iris work so hard to make your stay perfect. Nothing is too much trouble. The place is situated a 20 mins walk from the centre on town and you walk through the old town to get there. Salzburg is a beautiful place and exceeded our expectations on every level.

It is close enough to the main attractions that you can walk everywhere. The couple that run the place are super friendly and the breakfast fantastic. I also appreciated how soundproofed the room was. You couldn’t hear your neighbours at all.

It’s not a dislike. I would just recommend putting a night light option in the bathroom as the toilet is located at the back of the bathroom and you have to walk past the shower glass panels. Without turning the light on, it’s hard to see. Almost knocked the down.

Villa Verde's breakfast was probably the best I have ever had anywhere! Lots of locally sourced things, and the homemade Bircher was outstanding. Alex offered to make a huge array of egg dishes and other hot breakfasts while taking time to talk and joke with visitors and give them advice about transport and sites in the town. It's all the little details that make this breakfast experience so good, from the information about the source of the food to the weather forecast pictures! The rooms were spotless with a huge array of free toiletries in the bathroom. It was absolutely silent guaranteeing a good night's sleep, which makes it worth the short walk into town.

Our “apartment” was beautiful and had everything we needed, lots of room and amenities. Breakfast was fantastic, lots of options and farm fresh eggs made to order! This was our third and last location for this vacation and far outshined the other locations. I would recommend this property without reservation.

The walk to town was very nice, but slight up hill in some areas that were challenging for my 70 year old spouse. Wouldn’t be a problem for most.

The owner, Alex, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Villa Verde was totally upgraded and the owners thought of everything to make your stay the Best ever. The Breakfast was exemplary an there was nothing you could wish for. The rooms were very clean and the location not too far from activities. Would recommend to anyone to make this part of their stay in Salzburg. Thank you Alex for thinking of the smallest details to make our stay perfect. We hope, to see you again in the near future.
