Central location meaning much of the historic part of the city was in easy walking distance. Good size room, comfortable bed but the decor was tired. The breakfast was plentiful and offered a good variety of choices. We used the coffee machine in reception on a number of occasions but be aware there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms.

Liked the property but could do with some modernising. More electric points for modern living; a modern shower rather than shower in the bath. We could manage but could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues as the bath side is quite high.

The location is amazing, just a minute walk and you are in the main shopping street and near restaurants and historical sites. The family room was very spacious and had a good-sized bathroom. There was a mini fridge and coffee pod machine in the room. There was a free hot drinks machine in reception for guests. The breakfast had plenty of options, including soy milk and vegan spread. There were no hot vegan options, however.

The building has a lot of character but the rooms are old and not soundproof. We could smell cigarette smoke coming under the door from another room, which was very unpleasant. Reception staff were not very friendly, but we had limited interaction with them so this didn't really bother us.

Fantastic location

A little dated… check-in took a bit as the front desk person was watching the Euro Cup game and there was no luggage cart or assistance for baggage.

The key is not a card... not so uncomfortable. Security on luggage guarding - door is unlocked. And no marking / tickets - so anyone can take anyone's suitcase with no supervision. Also - when you leave your key in reception, all you have to say is your room number to get the key back....

The location was superb which was why we chose the hotel, walking distance to main sites and centre. The old centre of Vienna is walkable and then we found the underground the most convenient for going further (Schönbrunn etc) - get the local train from the airport (QBB) as almost as quick as the direct CAT and a fraction of the price! The hotel gave us a lovely big room (321) with double and a single so great for my daughter and I. Also had a seating living area. Old style furniture added to the charm and beds comfortable, though the double bizarrely had single bed duvet. Was too hot so check the radiator as you may need to turn it down, easily done. Breakfast fine though somewhat limited choice buffet, got very busy on weekends. Staff friendly if rather overworked at breakfast! Good price for the location and was therefore as expected.

Reason for marking down a bit is the bathroom was small and the shower over the bath did not work very well. Could do with better shower tap mixer. Cheap soap dispenser but normally take own anyway.

The location was perfect! It is situated near Graben street (next to the tube station in Stephansplatz) and very close to all the major places to see/explore and eat so there is no need for transportation. The rooms (triple and double) were spacious and cozy and keeping with the palace-like decor. Excellent WiFi and very quiet rooms. Good breakfast with plenty of cakes, ham & cheese platters, fruits and fruit salad. Kind and very helpful staff.

The beds were a bit stiff (unlike the pillows which were soft). The carpets need replacing.

Location was great. Few mins walk from the metro and in the centre of town. Old fashioned rooms. Staff were lovely and breakfast very good.

The only issue we had was that there was no air conditioning and it was hot, even with the window open all night. There was a large fan but it didn’t seem to move the air even if you stood in front of it. We are both a little nervous of heights and to get the room you walk around a narrow balcony on the inside courtyard. No problem if you don’t mind heights. We were ok we just walked quickly but if you are very nervous you may have a problem.

The breakfast was tasty, and the staff was friendly. The hotel was tidy and pleasant, and the historic 18th century milieu was atmospheric. The room was not big, but it was sufficient for one person. The location is excellent and the hotel is very easy to reach with the public transport. There is a piano in the breakfast room (although it was not tuned).

The soundproofing of the room was weak and sounds from the yard and neighboring rooms could be heard clearly. There was a safety instruction in the room, according to which the window should have been broken with a hammer in an emergency. However, the emergency hammer was not in the room.

Great choices for breakfast. The location was very central and quiet. Close to many restaurants and shops. Within walking distance of many sights and the area is completely flat.

The mini bar was just a fridge with water and coke !!! You could not regulate the heat in the room easily.
