Very nice welcome from the staff, who were attentive and nice throughout. Superb location if you want to be in the innere Stadt. Very good value for the location. Old school charm and approach was refreshing. Traditional decor and furniture in room was charming and practical. We liked the comfy armchair and footstool. Quality cakes at breakfast. Better than we had in one of the famous and expensive cafes! Would recommend and would return.

Room was quite dark, small window faced into an ugly interior courtyard. Shower cramped. Breakfast good, but hot selection could have had more variety. Note there is no hotel bar or much in the way of facilities. But then there was no suggestion there would be. Pillows too soft. Needed two and it was still insufficient. I didn't ask about changing. It was bearable. These are minor points. Overall it was very good.

Breakfast was very good, fresh and a good variety. The staff was exceptional for breakfast and I cannot comment how wonderful they made our stay at the hotel. The hotel is near the pedestrian parts of town and around the corner from St. Stephen's Cathedral. A variety of places to shop and eat, and I would recommend this over any of the other accommodations that I considered before booking. This is a wonderful hotel and our room was spacious and quiet. The maid service daily was wonderful and deserved as much credit for seeing to our needs and keeping up our room daily.

Nothing - there is nothing negative I could say about our stay. Exceptional service.

The location is great, right in the center near stephan's dome and the underground. The room was big enough comfortable and clean. Breakfast was satisfactory. I like the elizabeth atmosphere it gives an impression of a historic hotel.

The coffee in the morning was undrinkable in my eyes. I left my cup 2 consecutive days after only one sip. I also do not like the need to always leave yhe key on the counter when i leave and collect it back when i return, though it never took more than few seconds to collect. For me these were minor issues. Anything alse was good. A good basic hotel in the center of the city.

Breakfast was fully satisfactory, good quality and well served, with minor faults: I really like to have for my breakfast scrabbled eggs and bacon or sausages... Well, one day there was bacon but no eggs, the second day eggs but no bacon, the third day sausages but no scrabbled eggs... Mystery of thinking...

I find strange that there was no any kind of bar service in the hotel that you could have a drink or a coffee, out of breakfast time (after 11 in the morning). There is a seating area, but it was closed in the afternoons and absolutely not any kind of service, not even a glass of water...4 star hotel? I must admit the rooms were perfect...

Excellent location, friendly and efficient staff, great lobby, easy walking to major sites, easy walking to public transit, small, but well-appointed room. Excellent recommendation from the Front for a nearby "local" restaurant specialised in actual wiener schnitzel. The crowd of local customers waiting for a chance to eat there only enhanced the feeling one had come upon a true schnitzel treasure. Great price for a centrally located, friendly hostel in Vienna. I did not have breakfast, but a look into the breakfast room on my way out to catch a very early plane made wish I had more time to partake.

More likely my fault than not, but the shower took much longer for me to figure out than it perhaps should have. I, however, had failed to read any instructions on operations so if perhaps I had spent more time looking to see if instructions were in the desk, this would have been less difficult. Once I did figure it out, the shower was terrific. For my own preference, a harder bed would not have been amiss, but then I find almost all European beds to be softer than my own perhaps eccentric preference for a hard mattress. Still , an excellent night's sleep and neither of these niggles would prevent me from making Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth my first choice in central Vienna.

I could not get enough of this hotel as everything was just so nice! The room was BIG for a solo traveler, and so was the bathroom, the tub, the space - it was like a studio apartment I could live in it! Hotel design was chic, very Victorian, and has so much history. Location - it was right smack in the middle of the city centre, so food and shopping options are aplenty. Tourist attractions were also very near the area (the Opera, St Stephen Cathedral, the Hofburg, Albertina). I asked for suggestions re dinner places (as I went on my birthday), and the staff went beyond by giving me a list to choose from! Unlike the usual practice of directing people to touristy spots, they suggested places (some, hole-in-the-wall ones) offering authentic Viennese delights. Managed to visit two of them (both were great!); the others were either packed to the brim when I tried to visit or they were closed for the day.

There was NOTHING not to like!

Lovely, well-kept historical character property near Stephenplatz metro and all Old Town has to offer. Staff is professional and attentive. Although I stayed in a twin room because I was traveling solo, it as well-appointed, and the bathroom was large (had a tub with two showerheads). The breakfast had a variety of fresh offerings attended by friendly servers in a charming small dining room. I would definitely stay at Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth again.

I have no complaints.

This is our second stay there and will stay again when in Vienna. Fantastic location, close to everything by foot. spacious room, very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast.

Just a few little things that bothered us: Deep bath - hard to get in for elderly people. Must leave room key in the reception and sometimes there was a line and you had to wait to pick it up. Bad coffee and no oat milk in breakfast, no kettle in our room. Out room faced the main street and was noisy in the early morning.

Rooms were absolutely perfect: comfortable and charming; everything very well kept and cleaned. Breakfast was delicious and ran for a long interval in the morning (up to 11). Coffee served fresh in fine emblazoned silverware, crested with the Kaiserin Elisabeth. Staff very polite and respectful and helpful. Decor extremely fine throughout. Location very good and near to everything. I recommend this hotel entirely in all ways.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Kaserin Elisabeth. This hotel is at the heart of Vienna, and a few footsteps in any direction will bring you to the main sights. Staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms are period and in keeping with the buildings history, offering high ceiling and plenty of space.

The facilities were a bit limited within the hotel, it would have been nice if there was a bar to relax in.
