My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sapphire City Hotel in Baku and overall, it was a delightful experience. The hotel's central location made it a perfect base for exploring the city, and its comfortable accommodations and attentive staff left a positive impression. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was greeted warmly by the friendly staff Senan Zamanov and Vafadar who were always ready to assist with any requests or questions we had. Their helpfulness and willingness to go the extra mile truly enhanced our stay. We opted for a deluxe room, and I highly recommend it to future guests. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a lovely balcony overlooking the bustling street below. One standout feature of the room was the spacious shower. It was refreshing to have such a sizable and well-designed shower. Breakfast was served on a beautiful terrace that offered panoramic views of Baku and the iconic Flame Towers. The setting was truly breath taking, and added an extra touch of elegance to the dining experience. The breakfast spread offered was interesting but had a good selection of fruit, breads and good coffee. While some may argue that the Sapphire City Hotel does not meet the criteria of a five-star hotel, it is important to consider the reasonable prices charged. Given the affordability, the hotel offers excellent value for money without compromising on comfort or service. Expecting lavish luxury at this price point would be unrealistic, but I found the overall experience to be more than satisfactory. In conclusion, I would gladly choose to stay at the Sapphire City Hotel again when visiting Baku. Its central location, comfortable accommodations, and attentive staff made for a pleasant stay. Really elegant boutique hotel right in the heart of downtown Baku, with a feel of grandness to it. The staff were helpful on check in and helped me sort out a very early morning taxi when I left, which was cheaper than I had expected. The room was a good size, with the small elegance as the rest of the hotel and the whole place was very clean. The absolute best bit was the rooftop restaurant for breakfast though, with hanging plants, singing birds and great views of the Flame Towers and the city roofs. That was amazing on sunny days!

Two small notes - Nizami / Fountain Square area is very lively. It felt safe, but the noise from the street does bleeed into the rooms in the evenings. Not enough to bother me, but it might bother a light sleeper. Also, the Wifi was unreliable in my room. It was fine elsewhere in the hotel, and my room was towards the back of the hotel, so likely that was the issue.

Incredibly friendly staff, they gave us an extra bed for free and coupons for free drinks. The best part was the location, which was extremely strategic. It's right in the city's center, where Nizami Street (The most popular restaurant & cafe hub in Baku) is just downstairs and most tourist attractions are 5-10 minute drives. Bedding & amenities were also good.

I reserved a room with a balcony, but the balcony had a terrible view (just the roof of another building) and was small. They gave us a better room with a good view but no balcony. The room also had carpet stains and the Shattaf (Handheld bidet) worked but was partially broken.

Samir should be promoted as he is good and ready to be the perfect and professional Manager as he is delivering the best image of his self and of his excellent work.. i recommend this hotel definitely to my family and friends because of Samir. The bed the matress wasn't comfortable, was too hard not soft mattress like other hotels . they should change it .

Location of the property is phenomenal. It gives a good hotel 5 star vibe right from the lobby. English speaking friendly staff.

Only 1 elevator that is also being used for the services and cleaners and kitchen staff. The walls were super thin so for someone who is a light sleeper you would hope that you do not end up next to noisy and rowdy neighbors like us. Breakfast buffet was not organised, refills of dishes used to take forever and the toaster was always broken

The staff was very polite and generous with me, as they upgraded my stay to a very luxurious room. Their service was excellent, and the hotel itself is beautiful, located right in the heart of the city where all the restaurants and cafes are close by. I would especially like to thank the staff member, Sona, for her outstanding service.

I would like to thank the employee Riyad at the hotel reception. This employee is very distinguished in reception and helping guests with everything they need and with an open heart. He is indeed the right man in the right place and reflects a good image of the hotel. As for the hotel, it is distinguished by its location and cleanliness.

The hotel’s location is a major advantage, significantly reducing the need for cars or taxis. With everything just a short walk away. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, making it very comfortable. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of during my stay.

House keeping not providing full service. Sometimes ignoring hotels needs, such a fault change beds and all other staff in bathrooms… I was so surprised to receive one of my pillow with big hale…. And shampoos, conditioners.. and everything you need... everything would be at a minimum. Don’t want to scrum but what real scryme me up
