Easy check in, staff were fluent in English (a huge help!), room was clean & tidy, bathroom was very modern, bed was comfy and window let in a good amount of natural light and breeze. There was a fan tower in the room which helped with keeping the temperature cool as it was warm in mid July. Room size was cosy for one person and a single bed. Lift access was also handy, but only fits one person with luggage at a time. Fairly good sound proofing (but I also sleep with ear plugs) so I didn't hear too much noise coming from other rooms which was great. The street is quiet so there isn't much noise keeping you up at night. Right next to a main road so you can easily walk to places nearby. Would recommend a taxi to and from the main station as it's an uphill walk with luggage.

The lighting in the room from the lights wasn't great, but wasn't a huge issue as there was lots of natural light from the window.

The hotel is in a quiet location, about a 20 minute walk from Brussels Midi station. It felt a much safer location than staying nearer to the station. The hotel has been modernised internally - lift, decent shower in the fairly spacious bathroom, modern-looking bedroom, air conditioning. The room was fairly small but functional. The bed was comfortable, good blackout curtains, and tea and coffee making facilities were provided in the room. Breakfast is available but I didn't have it so can't comment on that.

No major dislikes. There is little room for large suitcases if all the rooms are as small as mine was. Shower gel dispenser was empty and no soap is provided. No plug for the sink.

We enjoyed attention to details in terms of comfort: very clean bathroom, good shower with strong and hot water, good hairdryer, tea set in the room, nice bedding. The breakfast zone was small but had a varied selection of food from eggs to warm pastries, cheeses and fruits. The hotel is located on a quiet street, but in a lively area with lots of nice cafes and bars nearby.

The hotel is super small, and so was our room — barely enough space for a bed and some bags. We had two separate beds instead of one large bed, and they kept sliding around. Overall it didn't affect our stay much.

The room was good, with plenty of windows to let in the light. The showers were amazing The hotel is not on a main street, so there was no traffic noise. The help yourself breakfast was great. I don't drink tea or coffee, so I loved that there was a machine that pours hot chocolate in the lounge/dining area. That the concierge waited for me as I arrived much later than expected and anticipated: I'd accidentally left my phone in England, and it had all my travel details in it! After a phone call from my son explaining the situation, the concierge waited for me to arrive, then called my son to tell him I was there safely. He patiently went through everything I needed to know with me. That each of the three different staff that were there at breakfast time were patient and accommodation of my two young, toddling and crawling grandsons, who, along with my son and daughter-in-law, joined me for breakfast each morning I was there.

It would have been nice to have some hot chocolate sachets in my room, as well as tea & coffee (which I don't drink), rather than have to take a cup from the lounge upstairs to my room, but at least there was some there for me to have, rather than none at all.

The room was big, the curtains were (mostly) blackout. I had a room facing the street so there was a little bit of noise but it wasn't too problematic, and its not a busy street so being a light sleeper it was a relief. I was also allowed to check out an hour later (may not always be possible so bear in mind) and leave my bags in reception whilst I went out for the rest of the day. Breakfast was pretty hearty with a cooked/continental style mixture on offer.

I think the bathroom could use a proper heater to deal with at least the steam build up, and to make it warmer for those colder days, but that is somewhat nit-picky I know. The TV was also rather confusing, which is again not a deciding factor on most things, just found it a little odd to deal with, though once I made it work it had UK BBC channels so that was a plus

I used to come to the Neufchatel once per year before Covid, and now I'm planning to continue staying there for the duration of a yearly conference I use to visit. The hotel is small and not extremely luxurious, but comfortable and very well situated in relation to some of the restaurants I like to visit in Brussels. The decoration of the rooms is very lovely, with each room themed for a different Belgian person, building or specialty. I like that very much.

In the last few years I got the impression that the former owner has sold the property or passed away, and that the new proprietors might not have the same attention to detail. I hope I'm wrong here, as I would hate to look for somewhere else to stay.

Very friendly staff, possibly the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on, no issue with noise, 10 minute walk from either bars and restaurants or the metro into the city centre, for of us got separate keycards (seriously, why do so few hotels get this right?)

One of those hotel rooms where you need to insert your keycard in order to get power. I get it, but as a traveler it's nice to be able to recharge devices in the hotel room while you are away. Couldn't figure out how to switch off one of the bedside lamps (so just unplugged it).

Good location, especially if you are travelling through Midi Station (short tram ride). Several tram\metro stations within walking distance, as well as restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets. Comfortable bed and little outside noise (even with open window). Spacious for a lone traveler. Staff was friendly and efficient when there. Nice bit of design with the different Belgian themes for each room. Was grateful for water cooler being available (the green way to go! :))

The night's electronic door system went off one time, so wasn't able to enter the hotel (around 11pm) - but hotel emergency contact was highly responsive and quickly arrived to help! Water pressure in shower was painfully high imo.

Room was well appointed with a comfy bed, good tv - boutique hotel feel. There were hangers for clothes. Shower was excellent. The staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was in a calm environment with a good range of choices. The position of the hotel I thought was excellent. It's in a small typical Brussels street but close to a main road with trams for transport and shops and restaurants. You can walk to Place Louise easily.

The room was very hot ( exceptional weather) and the fan provided was not really up to it. There was a kettle for tea etc but no water or teas in the caddy. I later realised you can ask for these at reception so it worked out in the end. Biggest problem for me which was temporary I am sure, was a malfunction with the swipe card access in the evenings. The hotel was trying super hard to resolve the problem but I was just unlucky and it affected my stay.

I like how helpful the staff were especially Zeydan (not sure about the spelling) for supporting me with places and taxis.

I think I like all so far. Although breakfast served were the same. I can recommend to change menu every other day and everything is fine (example: menu for Mon, Wed, Thurs are same and another menu for Tue, Thurs, Sat. So this will not be noticeable by customers who will stay minimum 2 days.
