Pleasant, friendly service from the staff. Very elegant hotel, with nice areas and very spacious rooms. Very good beds! The staff made no problem of us already depositing our luggage in the morning before check-in and coming to pick it up in the evening after check-out.

The staff did not seem to speak Dutch. The breakfast buffet was extensive, but very 'conservative'; there were hardly any alternatives for vegetarians and certainly not for vegans. There was only 1 bottle of almond milk, lots of charcuterie (meat & cheese) and 'standard' hot dishes: bacon, sausages, potatoes, mushrooms, beans and eggs. There were no plant-based yoghurt or sweets/pastries available. There was plenty of fresh fruit though, but out of season and certainly not local (strawberries and melon in October?). In the room, separate disposable plastic bottles are still used for shampoo, shower gel and even bottled water. This really could be done better! Please install and use refillable containers for bath and shower.

confortante, large room, good shower

PLUGS! we live in a world where the first thing we do when we come in an hotel room is look for plugs to connect iPhone, pads and computers. in my room, 205, I had to unplug the television and the coffee machine to plug in. near the bed only USB connections and I am USC. so no connection for me there. so this was annoying. it is also far from the center and the parliament. but I knew it when I booked so I cannot blame them for where they are. but if you are planning to work or visit there, it is 40 minutes walking to the Gran place and 21 minutes from the parliament.

The room, the staff and the location were all great.

The food in the restaurant seemed very expensive for what it was. We got a club sandwich with chips on the first night and it was €24 each just for that without drinks. Not a big deal though, we simply ate elsewhere for the remainder of the holiday. Also, I have never known a hotel to put such a large hold amount on your card. They put €300 on hold which put a dampener on the start of the holiday as this was a large chunk of my spending money, so it took some enjoyment out of the experience for me unfortunately.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The room was a great size, the bathroom was lovely with both the separate glass enclosed shower, and tub. The downstairs area inside the restaurant that is all lit up and feels like a peaceful outdoor garden really surprised me to be there. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful- I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a higher end while still affordable place to stay in Brussels.

The Wi-Fi seemed a bit slow, and it would have been nicer to be closer to the central area- but I didn’t mind the walk.

The ride from the train station to the hotel required the metro and a street car which was a very pleasant ride with great scenery. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe to walk around alone. The hotel restaurant has a decent menu and the food was very tasty. It was the only place close to get a decent meal after 7 pm. They have a wonderful, well stocked bar. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Any time I needed assistance with anything they exceeded my expectation. The room was large and very comfortable. If I go back to Brussels I'd definitely stay here again.

Be careful if you try to take a taxi to the hotel. There are a couple streets with similar names and you can easily end up in the wrong place. The metro and street car from the train station are very quick and easy to get to the hotel.

Very convenient for travelling into the city, tram Station just outside the hotel, service very good front office very polite.

Didn't like that the frist of our stay housekeeper was on her personal call, and shouting on top of her voice, we thought something happened, opened the door to see her shouting, did request her for a roll of tissue was abruptly told call housekeeping. Rude behaviour.

Everything was great, the room was spacious with comfortable, big bed and TV and nice, quality furniture. The room was clean, even though the furniture seem to be vintage. We had tea every day in our room and a coffee machine, as well as water bottles for free. The staff is friendly and professional. The hotel is located in a nice area, 10-15 mins of walking from the city center.

You can hear everything from the neighboring rooms and hall. The bath tub had a little bit of mold in the corners under the silicone, but was not too much of a problem.

This hotel boasts traditional charm. I normally enjoy the personalised service and the food. The staff really made an effort to accomodate my room preferences and I am grateful for that!

Recent renovations have been somewhat minor. A good number of rooms will need a more comprehensive overhaul within the next 2-3 years, I would prefer a more contemporary design. This hotel is a perfectly decent option but expectations should not be guided by its 5* ranking.

From the moment we arrived the staff were so polite & friendly. We were given an upgrade due to it being my partners birthday. The hotel is situated just around the corner from a tram line (the 93) which feeds towards Grand Place (stopping at Royal - which is only a 10-minute stroll from the centre & less than 5 minutes to the Central Train Station) The tram meets the Metro at Louise, which is only 2 stops away, which can then link you to any other destination around Brussels. The room we had was bright, clean, fresh & spacious. The breakfast options were excellent and are served between 7am and 10.30am. Great family run hotel lads which I'd highly recommend.
