Marriot, Hyatt, Sheraton, Hilton, you are on notice! The baby boomers are no longer travelling, and the next generation don't want you shirt and tie, no atmosphere and no ambience. We now have Tribe. After arriving from the congested streets which are a part of Phnom Penh, I was greeted by the most friendly and welcoming staff into a modern hotel with cool contemporary music. The facilities of this hotel are five-star all the way, from the plush beds and bedding, to the pool which is actually long enough to swim, so I had to take the plunge and you get to lounge on the side overlooking the mighty Mekong. The common space is carefully created with ambience in mind, so music is key. In the evening, cool music, and in the morning ambient peaceful music - so important. As a linguist, I travel for my work and have done about a hundred reviews, but never one has completely nailed it, until now! This hotel is the new five-star standard, run by an amazing staff of friendly workers who obviously enjoy their work and work hard happily. Headed by Harrison Bong, and besides having the coolest name on the planet, he runs a crew of dedicated staff in Nareth, Narry, Sonny, and the guy studying IT on the front desk. All of these people made my stay perfect. I know you will agree with me and will not be disappointed in this hotel, so a small request. The average wage is about $250 a month. I'm an Aussie from a non-tipping nation, but I make exceptions for wonderful people who could use my next cup of coffee money more than me - dig deep if you love them, guys!

Absolutely nothing.

Everything is quality. The beds are super-comfortable with luxurious bed linen and generous-sized soft pillows. Bathroom products are similarly top-notch - hair conditioner and body lotions are excellent. The breakfast buffet is second-to-none. international and then some: Fresh tropical juices, croissants, cheese choices, different breads for toasting, crepes, salads, fresh yogurt etc. etc... in addition to usual eggs, bacon sausages... the sort of selection I have rarely encountered. Best of all is the friendly hyper-efficient staff. Thanks Pich and Ly in Common Ground and especially thanks to Mr ever-obliging, Harris.

I look forward to the roof terrace being completed when next I stay.

Breakfast was excellent: large and varied Asian and Western buffet selection. Staff were all very friendly, attentive and solicitous (obviously very well trained). The 'products' in the room were all very good: body wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were all top quality. Bed linen and towels were similarly of very good quality. Rooms were well-cleaned. Best of all was the standard of service from the staff. Boran was very helpful but the gold star from me goes to Harris, an unfailingly smiley, considerate, helpful member of staff who was determined to go out of his way to make my stay the pleasure it was. Thank you.

The hotel is undergoing renovation so the top floor sky bar was closed off; a pity. The pool is not exactly 'roof top', quite small and rather close to the very busy road.

The hospitality. I had the privilege of staying at the Tribe for nearly 40+ days. The hotel staff knew of our long duration stay and made everything very accommodating for us. The staff knew us by name and they even hosted a perfect Thanksgiving dinner for us. Chef Jordan went out of his way to appease our appetite and several of the staff, including Leap, Nery and the nighttime bartender(s) were very cordial.

I understand the rooftop renovation was started during my stay. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever experienced aborad, at the time of rooftop offering. Breakfast at the lobby level was less than stellar. However, Chef Jordan did offer us some options, from time to time.

This was the most amazing stay. All the staff were so lovely and kind. The rooms were perfect, had everything you could ever need (hairdryer, steamer, coffee machine, TV with prime and Netflix, a beautiful view from the balcony) and they were super clean and modern. It was my birthday over the time we stayed at TRIBE. Leap organised balloons, a birthday cake and the most beautiful flowers as a surprise - she even went through the effort to find purple tulips (my favourite) which was so so kind. The staff here really were exceptional. The gym had really good equipment and the pool was beautiful. I couldn’t thank you guys enough for your kindness and I couldn’t recommend TRIBE more. You MUST stay here!

Hotel was located downtown, close to everything. The facilities were modern and clean. We had five restaurants on property, a beautiful pool deck, a gym, coffee shop and co-working space. It was nice to retreat to the comfort of the hotel during the heat of the day. Most importantly, the staff was unfailingly friendly, well-trained and accommodating. We want to single out Maxime for his outstanding customer service skills and knowledge of the city. His suggestions were well-received and always spot-on! Merci Maxime!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at TRIBE Hotel, and I must say, it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Outstanding Hospitality One of the highlights of my stay was the friendly and attentive staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to assist. The team was always ready to help with any requests, making me feel truly valued as a guest. Clean and Comfortable Rooms The hotel rooms were immaculately clean, well-maintained, and designed with modern aesthetics. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the amenities provided ensured a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Everything was spotless, which added to the overall sense of comfort and relaxation. Prime Location Another major advantage of TRIBE Hotel is its convenient location. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, the hotel is situated in an area that makes it easy to access key attractions, restaurants, and transport links. This made my trip much more convenient and enjoyable. Final Thoughts Overall, I was highly satisfied with my stay at TRIBE Hotel. The exceptional service, clean and stylish rooms, and ideal location made it a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. I had a lovely stay at Tribe Phnom Penh. The hotel is relatively new, super clean, modern, and very tech-enabled. The front desk staff was friendly and had a good level of English proficiency. I received an upgrade to a nice suite with a balcony and city view overlooking the river. The room provided comfortable seating area and plenty of space to relax. I appreciated the thoughtful tech features, such as the AC automatically turning off when the balcony door is opened to conserve energy. The restaurant and food options were very good. The café offered simple snacks in addition to coffee, making it convenient to have on-site. Waitstaff at the café and restaurant were very attentive. The pool area was quiet and calm, perfect for unwinding. Although I didn’t use the gym, the facilities appeared new and well-maintained. There was plenty of space in the common area to lounge and work and seating by the pool for lounging as well. The hotel’s central location is a major plus, with plenty of restaurants and the riverfront nearby. It's worth noting that there was no room service available, which may be a consideration for those who prefer dining in. However, this did not deter me from enjoying my stay. Overall, I found Tribe Phnom Penh to be a great value for money. I would stay there again!

Overall, the hotel and its facilities were impeccably clean; however, I did notice some stray hairs in various places in the bathroom, which is an area for improvement. It would be nice if the balcony area had seating.

Overall it was a large and comfortable room. The hotel staff were all amazing - attentive, friendly and helpful. It's a decent location - a tiny bit extra of a walk compared to other hotels in the city but that means it isn't noisy at night. You're guaranteed a good night's sleep :)

The water pressure of the shower is not the best. I know it's a small thing but if you have long hair, it doesn't feel the best 😄 Also, there was this TINY fridge in the room that could only fit slim cans of soft drinks. A bit of a pain if you want to chill food or bottle of water..

Staff was extremely kind. I got there just after midnight and the man at the front desk walked with me to a convenience store around the corner, waited for me, and walked back with me. The next morning the woman at the front desk offered to call to confirm my bus, called a tuk tuk for me and walked me out. Hospitality beyond compare. The room was big, quiet, comfortable, and had everything I needed and more. I will definitely stay there again when I'm in Phnom Penh!

Breakfast was a little pricey, but delicious. Nothing else not to like, the place is phenomenal!
