We had three rooms- the first was a suite so two rooms connected in the main hotel. Beautiful rooms and very spacious. My son and daughter in law had a suite at the Guest House. This room was very old and not really up to the standard of the Fairmont Hotel. There were chips/dents in the furniture and the paint was peeling. I let the hotel know this room needed a makeover!
The Guest House room that my kids stayed in was not what we expected for a Fairmont Property. The room smelled musty and was very old and not well kept up. It was even dusty. The furniture was very beat up and old.

Room was very small with a grand view. Staff were superb. Food was excellent. pricing was very high, but expected.
Bathroom was a bit small for the price of the room. The Fairmont Gold status did make up for this.

From the moment we first viewed the hotel on our approach, we knew this would be a unique experience. The most outstanding quality of the many positives of this hotel experience was the staff - knowledgeable, professional, welcoming, personable and committed to providing an excellent customer experience. Our 2 room suite had a beautiful view out the windows, beautiful details like ornate headboards, and nice amenities like a Nespresso machine and a wine refrigerator. Don't miss the history tour offered by the hotel - outstanding! The same goes for the hotel-sponsored bus tour to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. Our driver Erles was excellent, providing lots of extensive information about the area and being very personable at the same time. The afternoon tea service at Rundle Bar was lovely, and we had an amazing dinner experience on the patio at the Waldhaus Restaurant - complete with restaurant-provided comfy blankets for the early evening temperature drop! Valet staff, front desk staff - all were absolutely incredible in taking care of our needs.
Only wish we could have stayed longer. I also neglected to take as many photos of the hotel interior as I wish I would have, particularly on some aspects of the history tour.

Loved the outside pool with warm water. The kids get to enjoy both indoor and outdoor pools. I enjoyed the outdoor sauna, too. The changing facility was great! We enjoyed our dinner at their on-site vermilion restaurant. Easy online reservation. The lady at the restaurant who helped us was very accommodating and patient. Kids got the chance to stay and play at the hotel's kids at the castle facility. My husband and I were able to spend some time checking out the hotel more, i.e., the heritage hall. We got a room with 2 queen beds and a million dollar view. Quiet area. Free pass for using the roam bus. The castle hotel was a great experience for the 4 of us. At first, the way to and from our room was so confusing until we got to master it , in and out. Because the hotel was so huge and spread out, literally a castle, we met our 10k steps/ day goal easily. 30 minute Hotel tour and 2-hour walking tour downtown were also fun, even for the little kids. We used a stroller for our 3 year old on both tours, and it was very helpful. The staff were so helpful. If you have anxiety talking over a phone like me , you can place your request via the TV or with a phone text message. We got to keep our room keys as souvenirs. They're not the usual plastic room key but a nice wooden material , info all etched. It was one of a kind experience. The scenery one can't beat. A lot of people were visiting from all over the globe.
We could use a free bottle of water in the room.

My husband and I had a lovely 3 night stay at the Fairmont Banff springs- it was truly a remarkable experience and first class all the way ! The castle like accommodations are beautiful and there are million dollar views in all direction- we ate dinner at three of the on-site restaurants and all were wonderful with impeccable service-I highly recommend this hotel for those looking for a wonderful luxurious stay!
I think perhaps a hotel of this caliber should not charge for parking- there is ample room for cars and people rent cars so they can explore the surrounding areas which is what my husband and I did. The large bus to sunshine village was a little less than what I expected- the smaller van to mount norquay was more to our liking-

We appreciated being upgraded to Fairmont Gold, except for the problem noted below. We loved the location, the stunning views and the historic buildings. We liked the Waldhaus restaurant and the staff there. We liked our room and its furnishings, except for the problem noted below. We appreciated the warmth of the staff, except for the problem noted below.
We were Fairmont Gold guests, and we weren't informed upon check-in of the complimentary breakfast in the Fairmont Gold lounge, until we accidentally learned of it the night before we were checking out. So, we ended up getting our first two breakfasts at the coffee shop downstairs. Also, the bathroom in our room was TINY. We couldn't open the door without having to step into the shower. The room configuration was a little strange, given the size of the bedroom vis-a-vis the bathroom.

Fabulous room! It was roomy, comfortable bed, great view onto the mountains. We like the small reading light on the bed, so convenient! The location and the history are well-known and their reputation is well-deserved. Staff were all super-helpful and friendly.
We were surprised at how difficult it was to eat at the restaurants. This was 'shoulder season' (between winter and summer) but it seemed that without reservations well in advance, it was hard to get in to dinner. We arrived mid afternoon one day, and were only just able to get a table at one of the restaurants (not our first choice, although it was delicious). On the second day, we were not able to get a table at all and had to eat in town. Not a problem because there are plenty of options in town, but it was surprising that as guests in the hotel we could not eat there! The lesson is - if you are planning to stay here and on eating at the hotel, reserve DAYS ahead - even before you arrive!

Great location & hotel - views as promised, everywhere! Helpful friendly staff if called upon. Left a wonderful birthday acknowledgement & Christmas Day stocking gift - much appreciated when celebrating the holiday alone far from home & family x
Room size misleading in photos - significantly smaller. However, our suite room amenities, cleanliness & view were wonderful & as advertised. Only issue is TV faced the front door, not the lounge, even with tilt so limited comfortable viewing.

Room 315 had a beautiful view
Everything about the hotel is great. The room was small however and we keep going back to the same thought that at $1500 it’s just too much. We’ve never rented a room of this price, we can afford it, but find it very difficult to justify it. Room 315 should be around $800. But the hotel is spectacular and that comes at a price. But not $1500.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. 15 minute walk into town. Great location and very friendly staff. The gold lounge is well worth paying the extra for. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious.
Very small rooms. Not really much storage to unpack our suitcases and bathrooms tiny but I guess the hotel is very old and things have changed a lot since then.
