Friendly reception staff, good easy check in facilities, excellent underground secure parking, nice sized air conditioned room with changing and bathroom area off. Free tea and coffee available 24/7 on tap at reception - nice touch! Comfy bed, good towels. Ironing board and good hanging space in wardrobes. Clean and modern bathroom and shower areas although toilet a bit low to the floor for me!

Fringe location on edge of town, but easy enough to get to and walk into town from. Not the nicest of neighbourhoods - many rough sleepers close by or that you would have to pass to get to town - slightly intimidating. Slightly confusing concepts to have Homewood Suites next door to Hilton - where to go for breakfast on 1st day?? Breakfast a free for all and not enough staff to replenish stock. Not a great range of choice either but it was free, so can't complain too much. No room safes. Air conditioner turned off but still ran for 10-15 seconds in the middle of the night - twice!! Body lotion finished but not replenished in bathroom sink area.

Stayed at this hotel specifically for the division of the bedroom 2queen beds) and the living room. With kids we were able to put them to sleep and my husband and I could sit in the living room/kitchen area and watch tv, play cards etc. without having to go to sleep at the same time as our kids (if we only had a single room). I would highly recommend it for families with multiple children. Also full kitchen and anything you’d need to cook a full meal including dishwasher!! There is an amazing coffee shop, park, bridge and swimming area for kids/dogs etc about a 5 min. Walk from the hotel and not a lot of homeless people in that area. Felt as if we were in Vancouver. It was beautiful! When crossing the river to St. Patrick’s Island bring some bread for the ducks. They come right up to you and the kids loved it! The public library is right next door! AMAZING!!! Beautiful architecture and the kids area was so awesome for kids to play and they had so many activities for them. Also a really cool teenager section as well! Coffee/food shop so you can spend all day there!!

Unfortunately, there is a homeless shelter located down the street. So especially in the morning there were a lot of homeless people/drug addicted people handing around (witnessed some smoking crack pipes etc) we kept the kids close and would wait to leave the hotel until after 9am. It seemed to settle down. The free breakfast wasn’t that great. Good if there was nothing else. Long lines and sometimes no food available as it serves 2 hotels an not a lot of sitting room. We just took our food up to the room. The kids loved the pool. Too much chlorine though. My eyes were burning and we had to have full showers/baths (for the kids) every time we went in (up to 4 times a day lol)

The hotel was very modern and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room had a very comfortable bed with shower room and a small kitchen which was a bonus. There was an indoor pool and whirlpool that we made use of, and a fully equipped gym. The hotel is in a convenient location for access to shops, restaurants and the Calgary Tower and about a 20 minute taxi ride to the airport.

There was nothing to dislike about the hotel, the only negative was Calgary itself. It is not really a tourist destination as such, but is useful as a stopover before catching an onward flight. Sadly it has a tremendously bad problem with homeless people on the streets gathering in large numbers, and it can be quite intimidating walking around.

Room is of good size and clean with wash basin outside the washroom , so others can use the sink while there are those using the washroom, which is very good actually. The room is big for the 2 beds and the sofa bed is huge for 2 persons. Kitchen is good size but we didnt use it. Breakfast choices is not much, or probably we were just located on the smaller space of the dining area. I have checked in in similar star hotels with better breakfast choices and lots of food. Parking is underground for a fee. Overall its a good place to stay while in Calgary.

It's close to the train which is in the free zone, so for people like us wanna explore the Calgary downtown, I highly recommend this place. The room has a microwave, kitchen, and utensils. You can bring your food to the room and cook. This place is also really clean and has a 24-hour gym and the hot tub is really nice.

The design of the room is a bit weird. The closet is near the bathroom which is far from the door. And every time I wanna shower and open the water tap, the cold water would directly go to my face. I mean the door of the shower room should be in the opposite direction. Other than that, if the window can be bigger and has more lights come in, that'd be great too.

The hotel is very very nice in the Calgary center. Very close great Real Canadian Superstore where you can buy any food or equipment you need. Nice parks around. And Downtown you can walk, shopping, etc. The hotel room was very large, there is a kitchen with all that you need to cook. The staff is amazing, king and very helpful. They helped to solve many issues we had - from call taxi till stay one more night (unexpected from our side, but we needed to stay one night longer) in the room next to our original one - there was a super support from the staff. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to visit Calgary and enjoy staying here.

We were greeted very cordially by the front desk staff. Though she was the only person at the front desk, and had to deal with registering a large group before us, she remained calm and when she was able to deal with us was friendly and informative. We were very pleased with our room which was well-appointed, spacious and generally very comfortable. The swimming pool and hot pool were satisfactory as was the exercise gym. Breakfast was very good. We were impressed by the conscious effort made by the hotel to be more environmentally conscious. Finally, we really liked this part of Calgary adjacent to the Bow River. Excellent for long cycling and walking along the river. Overall, the staff in the dining area, the front desk, and maintenance areas were friendly and helpful.

The situation regarding parking had not been clear. We were not sure about where to park which was a bit of a concern as there are sketchy types hanging around in the hotel area. But it didn’t prove to be a problem in the end as the above ground parking lot was across the street from the hotel and fully visible for security purposes.

Hotel was lovely but area was a bit dicey to walk around. Room was excellent, we had a two room suite. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had good choices. Restaurant was nice and had a varied menu.

The area around the hotel is a bit dicey with people approaching who are under the influence of substances. We saw drug deals in the car park in front of the library. We had a vehicle so could go elsewhere to eat, our visitors did not drive and they are there for a week. Not hotels fault, just downtown cities.

Cozy place, conveniently located to reach the main city street, restaurants, and the shopping area as well as perfectly set to have a nice walk alone the riverside. Swimming pool + jacuzzi were like a bonus to relax and spend fun time with the family. Very nice breakfast and in most of the cases very friendly and welcoming staff.

It was a bit confusing at first to figure out between two different hotels that are basically located in the same building. We also encountered some issue upon arrival with the reception who wrongfully claimed that we had not paid for our stay. Luckily, they figured it out later with no apologies though.

Hotel and staff were very good and helpful, housekeeping were good. Location next to the Light Transit train was very good as what the free downtown fare zone. Access to 8th Ave was in a quick walking distance. Also the SuperStore across the street was very good to get everything you need for a stay in a suite.

The location of the homeless hostel just behind the hotel was not very nice, with drugged up homeless people on the streets around the hotel, but the hotel did lock their doors to prevent any access by them. We did experience some very noisy and violent homeless during our stay, but this seemed to be directed to the college across the street. The swimming pool didn't meet expectations from the photo on Booking.com.
