size of apartment was amazing, no shortage of space for storage. Very comfortable beds. Good sized showers. Balcony with view over the river was a real bonus, to look out and see seals and the salmon in the river and the eagles overhead. The sauna was nice. This was an amazing apartment in a convenient area for downtown and activities.

I don't think the soundproofing was very good. We were on the 2nd floor and were very conscious of trying to walk softly, I only wish other people were as considerate, we were there for 7 days and numerous residents in the apartment above would be running around and shouting at all hours. I think an oven and grill would have been useful, there was a microwave and hob. more workktop space would also have been better, we had to plug the coffee maker in on the table because by the time the kettle and toaster were out there wasn't any more room for anything. There was a huge sink which took ages to fill up enough to wash dishes.

The host Sunny was most helpful and welcoming. He gave us some.information and tips that made our stay outstanding. The hotel was easy to find, Google maps took us right to the entrance gate. The accommodation was lovely, spacious and clean. The river was out the back patio that we could sit and admire the wildlife including the bear who was lying on the log across the river. Salmon lept around and seals floated around, turkey vultures siared above. Shops close by short drive about 4 mins, bakery within walking distance. Magical.place.

The place far exceeded our expectations! Although the hotel was on a highway in the city, our room had a beautiful view of the Campbell River and it was peaceful and quiet throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious and tidy, and the owner gave us excellent suggestions for what to do and see in the area. We also really liked the gated parking lot. Access to Strathcona Park was unbeatable. We would recommend Chateau Riverside to anyone visiting the Cambell River area.

Honestly can't think of anything that could have improved on our stay.

Comfy beds, lots of room…much nicer than a hotel room for about the same price. Clean, well supplied kitchen - you could easily prepare a meal there, although we didn’t use it. Friendly staff, fairly secure lot.

The heat wasn’t turned on prior to our arrival and it was uncomfortably cold. It took hours for it to warm up. Also no extra blankets or pillows, or soap at the bathroom sink. Ultimately the blankets on the bed were warm enough but only two pillows on the bed was less than the standard 4 you get in a hotel. I have some back issues and could have used 4. First world problems, but those were my criticisms.

When we arrived, Sunny gave us a very friendly welcome and gave us many recommendations for hikes and restaurants in the area. He was an amazing and very helpful host. The location of the Chateau Riverside is very good, just about 20 mins walk or 5 mins by car to the centre. Our apartment was very big and comfortable, spotless clean, very well equipped and with an amazing view of the river where we could watch deer, eagles and other birds and also raccoons. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, 6/5 ⭐️

Lovely apartment with a little sauna. Super clean. Nice bathroom, large shower. Great view out onto the river. Friendly staff. Excellent wifi. Secure parking behind a gate.

There was a constant tapping/clicking sound during the night, possibly coming from ? dripping rain gutters or ?heating pipes, not sure. The bed felt soft like a water bed but wasn't. Not to our liking but other people might enjoy a super soft matress.

Amazing views over the river. November stay - saw lots of seals and eagles feeding on the fish in the river.

Our apartment was cold and smelt a little damp when we first arrived but once we got the rooms warmed up it was much better. There is not very good sound insulation between the apartments in the side building. We could clearly hear the people walking around above (they weren’t being intentionally noisy).

the apartment was in the most beautiful setting on the river, where we could watch wildlife from our window. our host was the most friendly, welcoming and helpful gentleman (I forgot his name, sorry). He gave us loads of places to go visit and eat, he even told us where we could go and see the bears near the fish hatchery. all the amenities were clean and tidy, all in all a lovely find.

The view onto the river is the best part of this property. Wildlife just on your doorstep. We had a two bedroom unit with plenty of space. You arrive and park at the back it doesn't show its full character the river is its crown jewel.

The area around the back is not the greatest lots of small shop units and industrial units. That said it's not a big issue. You're sitting by the river and that's the trump card of this place.

Most friendly, helpful staff we've encountered!! THANK YOU SUNNY. :) A little bit out of town, but right on the river watching the seals at high tide. Secure. Staff on site. Extra large rooms. Comfy beds & pillows. BEST shower after a month of travelling!! Roomy, with a seat and totally adjustable shower head. Kitchen was small but had all that we needed. Large fridge/freezer. Large balcony.

Rugs were a bit grotty, but this was usual this last month. Dining table was high stools. 2nd bedroom had double bed against the wall, and we were unable to pull it out a bit.
