I loved the fact that you could make coffee in your room and there was a take away cup available. I was pleasantly surprised by that. Super convenient with the airport shuttle and the staff in the restaurant were very helpful when my room service order didn't go through.

Really, nothing big, but if I have to pick something: I was a little confused about the charges, and I am still not sure about what happened (although they didn't charge me more than I expected). The other thing was that the online room service didn't work for me, so I had to go downstairs and order and bring it up again.

The hotel is functional but clean and the staff were very helpful. The hotel is out of the centre of Vancouver but a 10-15 minute walk to the Skytrain station so access into the city is easy. There is very little around the hotel itself. There is a Tim Hortons across the round for cheap coffee and breakfast and also a Moxie restaurant on site. We enjoyed our stay. You get what you pay for and this was great value compared to the city centre prices.

The airport shuttle was difficult to find and not well signposted especially as there is another Sandman hotel very close. The pool and gym is tiny. We didn't use these facilities but they looked clean.

This hotel is mostly for travelers heading to and from the airport but we stayed there because of its proximity to things we wanted to do in Richmond. The location is nice, right off the main road and has a coffee shop, grocery store etc within walking distance. There’s a very nice restaurant attached to it. Also has a small gym and pool but we didn’t use either due to lack of time. Our room was very cute with a loft bedroom with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in! Very clean room, nice bathroom. In room microwave, fridge and 2 burner stove with some dishes, pans and cutlery - great for people who like to bring their own food. Free parking in a good sized lot. We’d definitely stay there again.

Nothing to dislike - we’re only there for one night and didn’t run into any issues.

Exceptionally friendly, helpful, personable staff who went out of their way to make our stay pleasant.

Long wait for airport shuttle (but we arrived during busy time, and hotel staff were responsive and assuring that our ride was on the way). Local hotel staff had to overcome problems resulting from Booking.com platform apparently transmitting incorrect / extraneous data that confused our last name, causing confusion. Many thanks to Surij, Nancy, and Sarah for investigating to get to the bottom of the problem and resolving everything -- they saved the day!

All went well, happily received an upgrade, had snacks in the room which was excellent since we arrived at 1 a.m. Everything was comfortable and clean.

It was expensive for just a 6 hour sleep but by camparison to other hotels the price was comparable. The free shuttle made the difference. The only thing I didn't like was that I was afraid we left the coffee on in the room after we left but couldn't find a local phone number before our flight so sent an email that was in the contact (which may have been an email encompassing all hotels) but didn't receive a reply.

Being that I'm an elderly woman arriving from Europe, I would have appreciated assistance from someone with my heavy luggage both from the shuttle bus and taking my things up to my room. It appeared it was a huge effort to track someone down to help. I paid one of your staff $20 thanking him and asked if he would be able to come the next morning at 9:30 to bring my luggage down. He said he would and never showed. I was very disappointed. In my opinion, there was a lack of customer service.

Your outstanding front desk person, Harman (sorry not sure of spelling). She is one of the best front desk people I've come across. Friendly, very knowledgeable, and extremely good at her job, catering to many things going on at the same time. We were very impressed upon check in, with a full lobby area and only her working the front she attended to everyone's needs with efficiency and a warm welcome. Harman is definitely an asset to your hotel and I hope you realize the important and crucial role she plays in making your guests feel welcome and taken care of. Also like to extend a big thank you to the housekeeping department, very impressed by the cleanliness of our room, it was spotless.

Moxies restaurant. After a long day of traveling and needing something to eat, we were very disappointed in the entire experience. The restaurant had music playing where we felt we were in a dance club, very loud and distracting while trying to enjoy a meal. The food was mediocre, and expensive.

The location is within short walking distance of a Dollarama, Tim Hortons and A&W. The hotel airport shuttle was on time and the driver was excellent.

The price was very high for 1 night ($300), I booked well in advance and the price dropped to $200 in the week before the stay. Unfortunately I had chosen the free cancellation upto 14 days in advance or I would have cancelled and rebooked. I would hold this more against Booking.com rather than the Sandman though.

After arriving at Vancouver airport we went outside to wait for the Bus which would take us to Sandman Hotel. while waiting outside at the pickup point and talking to others who were also waiting for the bus to take them to their Hotel we discovered that there were in fact two Hotels with the name of Sandman. Two buses arrived at the same time to take customers to Sandman hotel. A lot of confusion as I and two other families were not aware which Hotel they were booked into, My Husband and I were fortunate that we chose the correct Bus to the Sandman that we had booked into.

We chose this hotel for the proximity to the airport and stayed after and before our flights. There was a free shuttle, fabulous room upgrade on both occasions, a lovely pool and on-site restaurant Moxies. A late checkout wasn't a problem and the foyer is a relaxing area to spend time. It was booked primarily for convenience but ended up being an extension of our holiday and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend :)
