A very decent place to stay. Easy to check-in and check-out, the instructions are clear enough to get into my room and everything that I would like to access. Free parking on site, and very close to the core of the city. The kitchen staff is ready to introduce the food during the breakfast. Staff is also responding quickly if you communicate via text. The price is really worth the stay.

The first bowl I took for breakfast has some food remaining. But the kitchen staff quickly notice that so I can pass that bowl to her and get the another bowl.

An incredibly charming, thoughtful place with a personal touch. Beautifully decorated and perfectly located within walking distance to shops/cafés/waterfront. Breakfast was probably the finest I had in a Canadian hotel/inn. A small but qualitative selection of fruit, pastries and savory options. Staff was lovely and made us feel very welcome. The other travelers were either very quiet or the house is generally not particularly noisy. A wonderful, memorable stay.

Forced air system (ventilation) felt a bit strong and cool around the window, but we used a heater that was provided in the room and the room was perfectly warm and comfy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room (Tower Queen with patio) was wonderful: in addition to a bedroom, a small vestibule, and a private patio, a tiny small spiral staircase (requires one to be very fit) leads up to a small tower with lovely views and a small reading/writing desk. The house has been beautifully restored with modern and period furniture and art. Its location is excellent: no more than a 10 minute walk from downtown Kingston and the harbour front, and a park and the university are also very close (less than a 10 minute walk) by.

I rarely leave reviews, but had to this time around. I’ve stayed here twice now, and chose it again because of the location (super central) and comfort (classic old style B&B). But it really exceed my expectations this time. We were upgraded to a beautiful coach house, which was an incredible surprise; we were treated to a bottle of sparkling and freshly baked cookies on arrival; communications were clear and frequent, as needed; and the breakfast was 10/10. Highly recommend as they’re obviously putting the effort into customer service and hospitality.

The Rosemount Inn is beautifully maintained and very welcoming. The decor is an eclectic mix of antiques and modern. Our room was lovely, warm, inviting and very spacious. Downtown Kingston was within a 10 min walk where you will find shopping and many restaurants. The neighbourhood is residential, quiet and safe. The beds were very comfortable and the linens very soft. Excellent assortment of pillow firmness. Breakfast was continental with several options including fruit, oatmeal, warm breakfast sandwich (ie croissant, wraps, etc) with fresh baked goods. All was very fresh and tasty. Coffee strong and flavourful. Staff very helpful and friendly. I will be returning !

I have absolutely no complaints. The property was gorgeous and the staff was excellent. We received updates by text that were supper convenient and friendly. The staff were very unobtrusive but felt very available and accessible at the same time. Our room was beautiful and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The location is perfect; quiet but a very short walk to all the restaurants and entertainment. The staff even left a personalized hand written note in our room with little chocolates and a mini bottle of bubbly. The fresh cookies in the entryway didn't hurt either. I very much recommend the Rosemount if you are staying in the Kingston area.

Great location in beautiful Kingston - walking distance to waterfront, lots of green space. The place itself is beautiful with lovely landscaping too. Stayed with my daughter prior to leaving her there for school at Queen's. It is a peaceful space, perfectly equipped, the breakfast was delightful as was the chef. All details were taken care of and it was a great place to be prior to the tears that would come as I left my daughter to return to my home province. Felt welcomed and well cared for here! The building has lots of history and at nights there were ghost tours in the neighbourhood adding to the allure.

Parking is limited - not a big deal, but on the one morning I didn't have a spot, had to move the car as Kingston has no parking for designated hours. Only required moving to the next block however. The first time using the shower was confusing as there were so many taps. Just a small learning curve to figure out how to use it however.

Chef Julie made me amazing gluten-free pancakes with fresh berries. The coffee was also PERFECT. I felt safe and cared for. Every staff member was courteous and quick. The convenient text service to make requests was much appreciated. Espresso machines in the room! Fluffy soft robes. Amazing water pressure. Beautiful renovation on the house while still preserving the quaint feel of staying in an older mansion. The garden was magical at dusk, you can smell the flowers and see dozens of lightening bugs. Left the balcony door open at night to hear the birds in the morning. Very comfortable bed and sheets. I had the room that went to the tower - what a special surprise. Thank you, Rosemont!

Breakfast was simple but met our needs to start the day. The location couldn't be beat. We were within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do.

We were given the carriage house separate from the main house, which was fine, but the skylight directly above the bed did not have any blinds so we were woken up early with the bright sunlight every day. The air conditioning was very noisy so it was difficult to fall asleep, and then to be woken up so early by the light coming through the skylight was not the best for feeling refreshed to start the day. Not sure if there was another room above us but people were arguing and stomping around above/next to us until 3 in the morning. Again, did not get a good night's sleep as a result.

Breakfast was great and staff was very friendly. They made sure you knew what was available and checked if you needed anything else. The house was clean and there were quiet places to sit in the common area. The outside front porch was lovely to sit and relax. All the grounds were beautiful.

Parking spaces in the driveway are very tight and limited but parking was available on the street (with some time limitations).
